The permanent physical mutilation they caused (went to other doctors to confirm I was not overreacting), the scam behavior in my bill being x4 my first visit (same exact “procedure” with Zero heads-up), or the constant harassment by them and their team (phone and email) has been unacceptable at best.

Would not wish my enemies to have the experience I’ve had with them.

I placed an appointment and received a phone call during my work hours saying i need to contact their office to give them more information. I was in meetings all day and their office was closed when i had time to call. Less than 24 hours later my appointment was cancelled, I was in another meeting when their office opened at 8am. The receptionist was extremely condescending in her response. She told me it was "not her problem" and gave me 0 options to reschedule. I would never pay to have someone who clearly doesn't have any standards for the employees they hire inject my face.

Originally I started looking for someone who did a beautiful natural lip - After following Denisse Serrano for years (yes, this is how long it took me to decide to do anything) I went for it and flew to see her. I AM SO GLAD I DID. It has now been about 2 weeks since I went from “im just going to do my lips” to doing a face balancing with Denisse. I simply trusted her work which I’ve followed for years. I have seen the type of training she undergoes and I just felt all of her choices on other patients really matched what I thought was my perfect standard of beauty. After two weeks - Honestly, I look just like me- but an airbrushed more symetrical version of me. She had no idea what my favorite features were but she pointed them out as soon as I walked in and enhanced other small ones which made an overall change in my face that just makes me look refreshed. She has an intuition and talent for faces. She loves what she does and honestly, she’s good at it.

I saw Shqipe and she was very helpful, friendly, and professional. She answered every question I had. I highly recommend coming here.

Honest Review of Denise Serrano: first off when I called the place to see how much lip filler would be I was quoted over the phone at $700 when I got there it was $990. The entire time I felt like she was trying to up sale me. Please be aware she makes a commission from everything she’s trying to recommend to you. Also I wish I would’ve known this information before but she is a PA-C not a dermatologist! I feel like she doesn’t have enough experience in this field yet to be charging so much for her service. Before this she was doing nutrition stuff which has nothing to do with aesthetics. This sort of thing takes years to perfect. I waited about a month to make this review and honestly in my humble opinion I do not think it’s worth the hype. My top lip came out bigger than my bottom one and her after result pictures look nothing of what my lips look like now. They feel sort of lumpy and look disproportionate on me. Very disappointed after having paid so much to do them. Honestly I wish I would have done more research before coming here and wasting so much money on something I am not satisfied with. For this price I honestly should’ve have just gone to the best lip Injector in nyc and paid the extra $200. I feel like these people don’t do this service enough to be good at it rather than if I was to go to a nurse that specializes in it. You live and you learn.

Juva skin is a fantastic facility. I decided to come because of all the positive reviews I read online, and when I visited Juva didn't disappoint. It was an easy check in process with friendly receptionists, then the consultation went well. Marianne answered all my questions and told me what procedures would be best suited for my concerns and my financial constraints. I felt like I was really heard during my first consultation, and I immediately signed up for future sessions. Also, I can't forget about the assistant who attended me before Marianne. She was welcoming and really sweet and equally attentive. I had a question about topical acne cream, and she immediately coordinated a quick discussion with a nurse practitioner where I was able to get a prescription. Overall, a really great facility that I would recommend to anyone looking to take a first step into facial care. I am completely new to this level of personal care and Juva has been instrumental in guiding me through my journey.

I saw Denisse Serrano at JUVA today for filler and had the best experience. She was incredibly thorough, taking the time to answer my questions and explain everything. Her and her assistant Rachel were so kind and I felt safe in their hands. I’m beyond happy with my results and would highly recommend!

The nurses and staff are all very nice, as is the office. The doctor himself clearly has a lot of experience, though he's a bit overly promotional and transactional. The other thing is, most employees at this office are beautiful women. I wonder if either (a) they all receive top-level cosmetic treatments in abundance or (b) the hiring practices afford some level of priority to aesthetics.

I am very particular with who I will allow to cosmetically enhance my face (as we all should be) and after months of research, I finally decided to book a full facial rejuvenation consult with Denisse Serrano, PA-C. I’m also a PA myself and so I have been following her on social media for some time and have simply been impressed with her work. Best thing was, everything she posts is a reflection of her actual work! The front desk staff is very kind and her MA was so nice and thorough. When Denisse finally arrived, she was extremely kind and took her time to explain what would best compliment my facial profile. I took all of her recommendations and was so pleased I did. Saw Denise Serrano, PA at Juva and decided to go with her for toxins and fillers. What an amazing experience! She explained everything, since it was my first time getting fillers and my lips done. Amazing! Great technique and no pain. Love the results bc they are still natural, yet I have received many compliments that I look refreshed and younger! She is the best and will continue to see her for touch ups.

I’ve been going go Juva for over a decade now. The service has taken a turn for the worse. Wait times on the phone and in person are now constantly long. More than once within the last year I’ve waited 30+ minutes in an empty waiting room. Seems Juva now has more front house staff than they have nurses/doctors. Extremely disappointed in the long wait time, especially for early/midday appointments when you can allocate but so much time for an appointment. Have returned in the past out of loyalty and because the PA I see, Marianne Woody, is very good but I might need to start looking for a new dermatologist.

Absolutely amazing! It was quick, easy, and painless. I had lip filler by the extremely talented Marianne Woody - they’re healing beautifully, and I couldn’t be happier. The staff was also so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable. Highly recommend going to Marianne, she seriously works wonders!

I had amazing experience with Denisse Serrano PA. She is the BEST! I’m in my late 40’s, never had any injectables until last month with Denisse. I was always afraid of everything since I’m a fainter especially when needles involved. Had Botox and 7 syringes of fillers. She broke them down to 3 visits to make me more comfortable. She was very patient with my anxiety, extremely gentle and definitely know where and how to put those fillers in. Both Denisse and her assistant Stephanie was great! They were comforting me throw the whole process taking my mind away from my phobia of needles. AND THE OUTCOME IS WOW! She told me in the beginning I will look like I had a good night sleep, and maybe 2 years younger, well…. All my friends believe I look 5+ younger and we haven’t even done smart laser yet as we planned it in my process of getting younger;). Definitely have my friends coming to Denisse very soon.

First time ever getting lip filler and I am so glad I chose PA Denisse Serrano! She is a blessing. Being my first time I was super nervous that my lips may look overdone, but Denisse listened to what I was looking for and made suggestions based on my facial structure. My lips have healed beautifully and I’m already planning other procedures with her! 10/10 recommend Denisse especially for first timers.

Horrible she rescheduled my services three times for two different dates just for me to get a phone call from her assistant stated she will not be in

Dr. Denisse Serrano of Juva Skin & Laser permanently scarred me for life.

I had been experiencing breakout/rash on my chest so went to the Juva to have a dr check it out. I explained to Denisse that my skin was sensitive to biopsies and scars easily. However she decided to move forward with a biopsy from my chest. To my horror, she took a significant chunk of skin from the dead center of my décolletage. This shocked me as there were other less obvious areas of the rash she could have sampled from.

Sure enough, the biopsy turned into a eraser-sized pure white circle in the center of my chest (neckline level) that stands out very obviously from my natural skin tone. This is something i have to look at in the mirror with insecurity and frustration ever single day.

To make matters worse, Denisse had prescribed a topical steroid ream for the rash.she did not tell me to discontinue use of the cream (even if it was effective) because the steroids would thin out the skin (ageing it). I ignorantly used the cream for a prolonged period of time and now the skin on my chest looks like that over someone 2 decades older than me.

Please avoid Juva and particularly this "doctor" at all costs.i have to deal with their sloppiness for the rest of my life.

RESPONSE to Juva below: I did call the office and speak to Dominique. She suggested a buy a $100 latisse prescription in hopes it would darken the scar.instead it just irritated my skin. Dominique said Denisse doesn't have any other solution than that. So I'm out another $100 and still have a scar. Totally useless.

Dr deedoes Is very unprofessional and inconsiderate of others time I booked an appointment with her over three months ago just to get a phone call two days before the original date I booked for a stating and she will have to reschedule for four days later I said it’s fine then just for me to receive another phone call the day of the appointment she was scheduled for stating she won’t be in the time that it will be a little later I said that’s also fine just for me to receive a phone call literally five minutes later stated she won’t be in at all and that’s when I was over it very unprofessional

Dr. Denisse is excellent, very professional and super knowledgeable! It’s very disheartening that she is given a bad review because of cancellations that were not in her control. She’s amazing! 10/10 recommend!

Denisse has a stellar reputation across the US! She lends her expertise as a injection trainer and assesses each patient with the utmost care and professionalism! Waiting three+ months for an appointment isn’t unusual for expert services.

I had been going back and forth for over a year with deciding to get my lips enhanced with filler. After doing a tremendous amount of research on where to go and who to see I decided on booking an appointment with Dennise at Juva Skin. After my initial appt, I was so confident with everything she recommended in terms of my lips and overall skin health. I trust her 100000% the results I have achieved with my skin and lips have surpassed my expectations. She had made a client for life out of me, I could not recommend her enough. Dennise truly takes the time to listen to your concerns and goals and builds a plan/technique to enhance every aspect of what will work best for you. Her attention to detail speaks in her work, she is a master of her craft.

I have seen Denisse Serrano aka deedoesderm multiple times for filler. She has always been extremely understanding by listening to my concerns and professional. I’m not sure what these negative reviews are about unless they’re looking for free services. Juva is able to take care of all/any concerns, it really is a one stop shop! And everyone is so nice.

PA Denisse Serrano is truly the best. I came across her work on instagram and I knew she was the only injector I wanted to touch my face. She really knows what shes doing when it comes to filler. I saw her for the first time in June for under-eye rejuvenation with filler, and she really did an amazing job. I had to go back for a few sessions, spaced 2 weeks apart, to get the results I wanted but she was very thorough and always made me feel comfortable. She even check up on me through instagram dms after my appointment and answered some questions I had about after care. I have genetic under eye bags that I have been self conscious of for my whole life and she helped me to feel more confident. I can’t thank her enough for that! If you’re interested in getting fillers and want a natural result, definitely book an appointment with Denisse, you won’t regret it! I’d recommend her to anyone!

Denisse Serrano is one of the best dermatology PAs and injectors you could ever go to! She did my first ever filler injections and I was unbelievably nervous and anxious and she was such a calming presence and walked me through the entire thing with such grace. After the injections when I had questions, she was happy to answer all of them. She is incredibly talented and smart but most of all, dedicated to her patients. You couldn’t ask for someone better!

I had a procedure done last year at the Manhattan office. My insurance denied the claim and also the appeals that was handled by my in network lab. After a year of back and forth with the ins and the lab as a final option I reached out to JUVA Skin where Tatiana was very understanding and above and beyond helpful assisting me to solve the issue. Shortly after talking to Tatiana I received a call from the lab reassuring me that the problem is being resolved. Their assistance meant the world to me after stressing over a bill I was originally told will be covered by the ins.
Let me also add that Dr J. Fisher is an excellent dermatologist with a great "bedside" manner.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a cosmetic spot. I went to see one of the Instagram known injectors here at the referral of a friend. In all fairness, my friend looked great and had a good experience. My intention is not to trash a business or tarnish anyone’s career. Its simply to make others aware of the office practices so that you can be cautious in how you move forward. I wish I had been more aware so I didn’t have to go through my hellish experience.

I came in to discuss eye hooding and somehow got talked into several vials of filler. I’m not a huge fan of filler and have never gotten more than 1-2 vials. I don’t think anyone 40 or under should be getting 8-10 vials of filler. This is what they will try to sell you. I still to this day do not know how I got talked into this. They also upcharge on fillers. Restylane is usually $700 in the city and they charge $935. I asked if there were any promos/sales happening and was told they never have sales. I got home checked their site and, of course, found they were currently offering 25% off. I called the office the next day and they refunded me the discount.

I was so uncomfortable during the entire process. They could see how anxious I was and still proceeded. I was told repeatedly that if I didn’t like the results that it would be very easy to dissolve the filler and undo the procedure. She proceeded to put 2 vials in my cheeks and 2 vials in my nasal folds. My face was super swollen but I was told this would calm down after a few days. I was given zero aftercare instruction. My face remained painful and swollen for about 2 weeks. I tried to be patient and not freak out but after the 15th day I could see that the filler was uneven and causing my face to appear lopsided. It was especially visible when I smiled and all friends/family I sent photos too agreed that it did not look right.

I spoke to the office manager who was very nice. I arranged to come back to see Dr. Katz whom I was told could correct the filler or dissolve it. This is where it all began to get super ugly. This man was just awful from the get-go. He insisted my face looked perfect and gaslighted me every time I spoke. He said he would review the before/after photos with me to show the improvement but then refused to show me the photos. Fortunately, I had my own before photos from the original appt. He made me feel awful and I was in tears. Even the PA looked uncomfortable with what was happening. He ended the appointment with saying that only the original injector could dissolve the filler properly and that I would have to come back to see her to have it fixed.

The office manager tried to diffuse the situation. She assured me that they would dissolve the filler and reimburse me as well. I felt that she really wanted to make situation right. I scheduled an appointment with the original injector for two days later Two hours later I received a call from the office manager in which she told me Dr Katz had decided that I would not be allowed to come back into the office. They would not be dissolving the filler nor would they reimburse me. I was told that as per Dr Katz my filler was satisfactory and that I would not be seen by Juva again.

I was beyond distraught and after many tears I reached out to the original injector on insta and let her know what was happening. I reminded her that she had promised to dissolve the filler if I was not happy. She replied that she always takes care of her patients and that she would speak with the office. Later that day she told me I would be able to receive a full refund UPON signing a waiver barring me from ever talking about this situation.

Fortunately I had electronic exchanges to present to AMEX to open a dispute. They supported me in receiving the full refund. I’m not surprised that there are not many poor reviews up here especially since they make unhappy clients sign waivers in order to get reimbursed thousands of dollars for poor services. This is just my personal experience and I felt it needed to be shared.

I’ve been seeing Denise for over a year now for both cosmetic and dermatologic needs and she is so great! She takes her time to listen to you, is very professional, and I would recommend her to anyone.

They took no precautions during the pandemic. This was not essential yet they still were open for business WITH no regards for their fellow patients and their employees I’m sure.
Dr. Bruce Katz is the worst! He was so nasty to some of the ladies there in front of other patients and or employees.

I don’t know if they were employees or patients but so nasty and one of the girls cried! And during a pandemic which just makes it so messed up.

How can such a ugly heart be so ugly on the OUTSIDE as well?
He has no lips and should use his own lip Botox for heavens sake! He has legit lip ptosis and gave such lip to other fellow human beings. The sheer gall!

Never going back. I walked right out in disbelief. Keep my deposit. Use it for your own lip injection you foul excuse of a man and human!

I saw Denisse Serrano, PA-C a month ago for lip filler. I specifically went to her because of her natural results and her continued education, which was very important to me. She was so kind, personable and knowledgeable, the best bedside manner. Even when I reached out about a bruise that was there 2 weeks later, she reassured me that everything would settle in time. And she was right! Trust the process, trust your injector! My lips healed so beautifully, like the lips I was supposed to be born with. I love her, her work and cannot wait to follow up with her for further treatments. I highly recommend her for anyone looking to get cosmetic procedures done. Literally the best!

This review is for Denisse Serrano PA, she is by FAR the best! The atmosphere she brings along with Stefania is so welcoming and wonderful that the procedure is so at ease. I went to her for lip fillers for the 1st time but have previously had my lips done twice, she walked me through the process before hand as well as personally asked me what my expectations were from the session. She guaranteed my money would not go to waste and the slightly higher price is most certaintly worth it. I could not have asked for a better experience:)

I absolutely love Denisse and her work.
I got fillers at another place before coming to JUVA skin and laser center and my lips came out awful. I had many filler bumps inside and outside my lips. Denisse was very honest with me from the beginning and helped me achieve the lip and cheek results I wanted. Now it looks very subtle and natural. I couldn’t be happier with the results! I can’t say enough great things about Denisse and this place.

This review is for Denisse Serrano PA. She is the best! Very professional, easy going and very helpful. She was able to help me with my acne problem due to the mask use. Also I have had eczema for the longest time and she was able to get rid of it ASAP. I highly recommend her. She is also very good for botox and fillers.

This was my very first experience ever with fillers, I was a little nervous- but Denisse is amazing, she took her time and explained everything thoroughly and was informative in every step throughout. I wanted something natural with just a little plump and she delivered. The Juva office is tidy and organized & the staff was polite. I am beyond thrilled with my results and I will definitely go back.

Beware! JUVA sent me to collections for a bill that I had already paid. I do not even believe the bill was late, and if it was at all, it is because it was sent in the beginning of COVID and we left the city so did not have access to our mail. I'm in the middle of refinancing my mortgage and was told my score dropped 100 POINTS. When I called to inquire, the office said that they sent me to collections the same day I paid the bill which sounds fishy. I have not received a single thing from a collections agency, and had I not called today, there would still be this claim on my credit report. I now have to wait to refinance my mortgage until the office removes me from collections and all I got was a "sorry" and "it will take 1-2 months".

The service is excellent. Staff us friendly and knowledgeable. PA Serrano is amazing. I highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Dr. Katz for many years, and have referred many friends and family members. I can’t imagine a more caring, patient, knowledgeable, cutting edge dermatologist. His entire staff is warm, helpful, considerate and helpful. I strongly recommend.

I absolutely love JUVA Skin & Laser Center. I found PA-C Denisse Serrano on Instagram a couple months ago and after I commented on one of her lip filler posts, she dm’d me and was super professional and caring. I instantly booked an appointment for her for lip fillers. I was so nervous when I got there and wondered if this was really what I wanted to do as I didn’t want “duck lips”. The second she walked into the room, her aura was great and calmed me down and she made me feel at ease. She took her time throughout the procedure and made sure I was okay. She gave me natural and subtle results. She told me I would miss the swelling and I definitely do haha! Definitely will be going back to achieve a bigger look and I am confident that she would never leave me looking “duck-ish”. When I went back for my lip follow up appointment, Denisse was so helpful and provided me help with my skin! She prescribed and recommended different things for my skin as I do have minor acne and sun damage. Once I found out about how she could really help my skin, I asked about a keloid scar I have on my lower back and she instantly informed me of a procedure she could do and did it right then and there! I’ve always been so self conscious about that scar and in the past I’ve only been told that my only option is a skin graft. I’m so happy that I spoke up to Denisse about it and she was able to help me that same day. Denisse is absolutely amazing and I will keep seeing her for my lip/skin/scar needs (and whatever else she offers because she’s great!) Thank you Denisse!

Denisse is hands down the best at what she does. It’s really an art to cosmetic fillers/injectable and she serves every time. I got my lips and Botox done and they both turned out better than expected. She’s very attentive, professional and a sweetheart! I recommend her for any injectable she has such a gentle hand In which I never get any bruising! Also, Courtney the Medical Assistant was great in comforting me and easing me of any pain, also a sweetheart. Great visit overall!

The staff is really nice. However, I came in with a couple problems and came back out with the same ones. I got my lips done. My upper lip was bigger than my bottom lip to begin with and now, I still have the same issue. Also, I wanted my bottom lip evened out, but it’s still uneven.
I got a filler in my chin as well. Totally regret it! Now I have a witch-chin (just picture a witch’s chin— yeah, that’s what my chin looks like). If you’re going to go here, I would recommend seeing someone from their senior staff.
