JINsoon Spa-Tribeca

When I made the reservation for my wife's birthday I was told I can choose which service I would like. Upon arrival, we were never asked and it wasn't until it was too late that we realized that we were given a random service. We also wanted and additional foot massage since what we got was subpar but we're informed that there was no time. If that was stated prior to starting we would've went somewhere else. I won't be coming back.

Horrible. I expected a much better experience. First of, the technician beckoned me from across the salon, which is extremely rude. She should of walked herself to the front and walk me over to the nail station. I paid extra to get the hot vitamin E /lotion treatment, it was less than 3 minutes. The technician was rushing through out the whole process. A woman that was there before me getting a regular manicure left after me! The nail polish was messy, uneven and all over my cuticles, the sides of my nails were left without polish! The lady in the front was nice and removed some polish that was left on my finger tips. I can’t believe I paid for this! Terrible, rushed not professional service.

The salon decor is esthetically pleasing, clean, and relaxing. I was met with a warm greeting, a thermometer, and a few questions to answer on paper. Followed by the task of selecting a color I was off to the very end of the salon for my pedicure.

My only wish was for an option of having a throw pillow to place behind my back. I am not that tall so calluse removal meant scrunching down to slightly sit on my back so my legs could reach the nail tech comfortably.

The nail tech was fast yet thorough. I would certainly visit again.

I absolutely loved my experience here. The ambiance was just right. The design of the room looked unique which was quite appealing. The staff was extremely kind. Vilma did my mani and pedi and I enjoyed my experience with her. I definitely recommend if anyone goes to ask for Vilma. The manager was hospitable and helped me to even take pictures of my experience. The music kept the vibe just right and I felt very relaxed. I would recommend if you love your service with class and style.

Nice vibe, friendly staff, great manis and pedis. Even polish tends to last a while! Deane does fantastic nail art (shellac).

My biggest problem with the salon was the business with telling me one price for gel manicure, then hitting me with the removal charge too, after the fact. Obviously I’d want to know if that wasn’t included in the quote bc it has to be removed, obviously they *know* I’d want to know, and actively chose to withhold that information. I tried to dispute it, but we all know how that goes. So, I just write a bad review for bad business practices, and encourage you to go elsewhere as well. Plenty of other options in the area that are upfront about pricing.

Pristine pedicure bowls in a serene setting. It is a great experience. I had the honey bee pedicure and my feet came out feeling like silk.

Such a disappointing experience. My pedicure was $70 and not worth it at all. There was no one else in the salon and the nail technician was still late. She did a very average job. After I had been drying my nails for a while I had to ask the receptionist for drying drops as she never came to check on my nails again. I waited another ten minutes after the drying drops and was looking for someone to tell me if my nails were ok. She still hadn’t come back and technicians who were now with clients could see I was concerned and they never asked me once if I needed assistance. I put on my socks and shoes and when I get home my nails were all messed up. Terrible customer service. I could tell the whole time no one cared they just wanted to get it done as fast as possible

They did a great job with my gel manicure I was getting for the wedding. It was my first time and the woman who greeted me was so welcoming and eagerly helpful in finding the perfect shade of pink. I’ll definitely be back!

Literally the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had. My nails were gently cleaned, and trimmed up. No irritation or painful parts during. And even a few days after I have not had any hang nails or anything from nail trauma. And she was so precise when putting on the nail polish, it looks so clean and not sloppy. They also have an amazing color selection!

I went in for gel polish only (no cutting, filing, lotion, nothing) and was charged $47 for a gel manicure. When i explained to them that i only had gel polish put on my toes and no manicure or pedicure whatsoever, the girl asked her manager and then said “yes we’re charging you for a gel manicure instead of a gel pedicure. The girl even said sorry to me when i was paying as I’m sure she felt bad about the outrageous charge. Ridiculous. Will not be going back.

Overpriced and sloppy. I got a gel mani and I have polish all over the skin surrounding my nails that's starting to peel off and create air pockets on my nails. Plus I waited in foils for the gel removal for about 30 minutes.

This is a great salon with highly professional and friendly service. My regular polish manicure lasted 10 (!) days before it started showing any tip wear. My pedicure was impeccable, too. Wish I lived closer and will for sure return next time I am in town.

After I discovered Jin Soon, I never go anywhere else! I used to go to the East Village location, and when I moved to Fidi, I was so relieved this Tribeca branch exists! It's huge and love the interiors - definitely a luxurious ambiance. There's tons of nail salons much closer to where I live, but I still head here. Always receive great service with polish that last and I look forward to my semi-monthly appointments because it's when I can really relax and have a bit of me time. Walking a shiz ton of miles a day with a giant dog in the streets of NYC is not easy lol! I also met the actual Jin Soon when she was manning the front desk once, she was so nice and friendly and personally delivered my citron tea (which I started drinking after my first ever appointment at Jin Soon).

Good service, could have been better at the price, regular pedicure doesn’t take care of the dead skin at all. Paid extra to remove it, the job was okay. Nice staff and ambience.some cuticle was left on the toes, the job wasn’t very detailed

The worst pedicure I ever received.

Polish sloppy. Didn’t clean up the skin at all. Once I got home, polish wasn’t smooth and was already chipping! I had to clean up the skin myself and my heels had loose skin they didn’t remove. I tried emailing them first before leaving a review and they never even replied. WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Nice staff, wonderful receptionist, the nail technician did a decent job with my pedicure. The only concern I have is how the foot soaking tubs are washed after use to accommodate the next client. I am surprised nobody has yet mentioned this in the reviews. A technician will bring out a wet sponge that is dripping onto the floor while she carries it and she will use it to wipe the sink, then she will rinse with just water and drain it. And right after you are told to sit at that tub. I am not sure how powerful the product in the sponge was, if it was there, to disinfect the tub. I wonder how the tools are disinfected after each use. After all, we all want to enjoy our spa experience and not worry about having health issues after. Other than that it was very good.
