Found this school by searching online. Was a great experience. The people there are all knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend to anyone going into the barber field.

After finding IBBI on the internet I decided to go in for a tour. I was shown the facilities and was very impressed with the cleanliness, professionalism and organization of the school. I enrolled and took the 6 month Barber Program. The director and instructors cared very much about the success of their students. Throughout the course, you will cut hair on many walk in clients with guidance and instruction. I learned all the skills necessary to pass the state exam and move forward with a career. I really enjoyed spending time with the director, instructors and students and I will keep in contact with many of them. This school, like any other opportunity in life will give you what you put into it.

Wonderful experience, First visit my hair was damaged and breaking. I come every 2 weeks now. In a short period of time my hair is growing and healthy. Can't wait for next visit.

Even though it’s the student who will cut your hair, their will be supervisor who is constantly making sure that you are getting great cut. I was extremely satisfied with the result and will be going back. Great value for your money.

The instructors know what their doing and are top notch. The students provide great customer service. Their haircuts are always worth the price.

I just graduated from this school and passed my state board the first time! Sam is the best, he will teach you so much and time goes by so fast. At first I didn’t know anything about barbering and now I feel like I have learn so much in this school and I’ll take it with me. Not only does he teach a lot you he gives you advice and cares for you. Official barber school in suffolk. To become legit and licensed its the place to be. Finished the course got licensed and now have my own shop. Sam was super helpful and still is with any information. Anyone interested in becoming a barber highly recommend to check out this school to become a professional.

Sam cut my hair today. He is one of the instructors. He is a very nice man and good with teaching his students when they are cutting customers hair on the floor.

Being a student there was an experience but learning the tools and skills to make my own craft was the best part flavi and sam both were great instructors always kept an eye on you making sure the client gets what they want I love that I made this step about a year later now I see the difference I'm doing what I love I could have learned anywhere yes it's TRUE but I'm glad I chose here to learn

Hello, I am a student in the best beauty school for 5 months and was starting from scratch. I am very happy that I found this institution. We have good practice- we style and cut 5 and more of different peoples hair. The client is always happy, and I love doing practice there everyday. You will not regret for picking this school. ATTENTION POTENTIAL STUDENTS: While you should pay strict attention to Flavio (sp?), the gentleman who will teach you how to cut hair, DISREGARD ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT THE OWNER SAM DOES AS AN EXAMPLE OF HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS. It is obvious that he is clueless in this area, as is evidenced by the fact that he perpetually turns away the public who come in to give the students some practice on a real head of hair. Granted, a basic cut is only $5.00 & that is obviously not Sam's major source of revenue here.but every time I go there I have tipped the student barber $20. The problem is that apparently Sam likes to close early. I have been there three different times within 2 hours of his posted closing hours and he tells me, "We are closed". When the sign on the door and the website both say they should be open for another hour at least! This is absolutely no way to run a business.but then again, it is obvious Sam doesn't want to run a business where he caters to the customers (a horrible example for his students!) as he is satisfied with the tuition and after sale from the students. Here is my question to Sam.if no customers ever return, how will your students learn? Or do you really even care about that?

DONT LISTEN TO THIS IDIOT RAY MALONE HE’S MAD BECAUSE HE DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO ACT PROFESSIONALLY AT A BARBER SHOP: This is the best Barber school in all of Long Island and I speak from experience as a student from this school for nearly 6 months, Flavio and Sam are fantastic instructors and barbers that inspire you to do your best and teach how to properly cut hair and about infection control and the spread of diseases and how to deal with ignorant and unreasonable customers such as Ray. When I first started at the course I had never even held any barber equipment before and after a short span of time I went from being a nervous wreck to a confident barber. Sam and Flavio explain very clearly and show you hands on how to do the work properly. And now I do up to 11 haircuts in a day all smiles and they kept coming back. Amazing school with even better instructors

My first time here and I got a very good, satisfactory cut. Will take a little time as the cuts are done by students under teacher supervision. The teachers are very skilled and can handle possible mishaps! I highly recommend it for the price and quality of cut - makes it great for when you need a good cut for less!

Sam, the owner is great as a barber but also a teacher for student barbers who cut hair at reduced prices. Clean and friendly shop.

If you are looking for a career in beauty, this is definitely the place to come. The instructors are amazing and very patient. I never felt uncomfortable asking questions and they also boosted my confidence. I would recommend this school to anyone.

First off, i went on a day, he was open. It even said on the sign open. It was rainy as soon as i walked in. He said no haircut today. Made me wait outside for a bus. Not to mention he was already cutting someone's hair. I was one his best customers for 7 years. Never again. Not to mention the cost for hair cuts have gone up. Never again. Don't go. You wanna get a hair cut, go somewhere else. Also i heard there are better places in brentwood and bayshore.

As a female I was hesitant to go to barber school. My first day in class Flavio (the instructor) made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I’ve learned so much since I’ve been here. Everyone is so helpful and the classes are very informational. Love it and recommend it.
