Came in the store multiple times looking for a new car, but the representatives were horrible. Since this dealership was recommended and nearby we thought that it would have employees that would be attentive and knowledge, but instead they profiled my wife and I. We were left alone by every employee aside from Jeffrey Stampler who simply just got up from his desk to give us a card in hopes of the off chance that we'd give him a call as we browsed the inventory. Who had to make an appointment at the water cooler to laugh and joke with his co-workers. We were completely left alone to look at all the cars without a single clue of what to look for.
My wife and I came another time since we preferred Mercedes over the other brands but this time we were approved by Dave Jennings who basically profiled us as well with half heated service and eventually as we were browsing yet another card basically asking us to leave.

Just want to say thanks to Anthony Ferraro who helped me buy the most wicked and coolest car I ever owned. My 2021 Audi TT RS. Anthony was very knowledgeable and explained everything about the car to me. He even let me test drive it! I went to other dealers that didn't even want me to do that (and the cars were not even as cool as my Audi). The buying process was very quick and easy. Anthony is a great person and my go to if I buy another car from Helms Bros. I would also like to thank the great people I met at Helms Bros! Really nice people work there. If you're looking for a nice and sexy Mercedes or any other brand of vehicle they have for sale I would definitely recommend this dealership.

UNPROFESSIONAL sales rep Ricardo Farias Am cash buyer and contacted dealer asking about availability and price of 2021 E53 amg because on online site showed it as 4k overpriced, received a short answer saying, our cars are well priced and this car sold. But I've followed it online and it hasn't sold. NOT HOW A Mercedes dealer should be.

I recently bought my car off of lease since a replacement was not available for me to order. This is my 3rd car from Helms Bros.and my 4th experience dealing with Jeffrey Stampler. The process continues to be amazing, easy, and seamless. I cant wait to trade in this vehicle and get my next car. I am sure the fifth experience will continue to exceed my expectations.

Just to report, if something happens to me the person in the phone was a young person Spanish as first language as probably because of the accent I will say Dominican.

RIP OFF CITY!

Just tried to get pricing from a sales rep. She priced a 72k car lease for me with payments totaling 72% of the car, when asked to explain the math she couldn't which is a joke, how are they selling without knowledge of actual numbers and lease process? Then, when going through the numbers and showing her why she's so off she hung up on me out of embarrassment.

Shady dealer.run away.

Unprofessional salesman/salesperson. If there was a zero star, then that is my rating. I’m objective and pro customer. I waited a whole year after ordering my car. Not even a call back about delays.
The only real professional was Suzanne Cochran. She was awesome

Bought a sedan and within a month and a half, I had to get it serviced 3 times, because there were constant problems. They're also severely overpriced compared to other dealerships; do not trust them.

My GLB250 is one month old. Yesterday the whole entire sunroof crashed down on me right after I pulled into a parking spot. Thank the heavens above that I wasn’t driving when this happened. I was covered in glass. Called my salesman at Helms Bros. In Bayside and told me to get it towed which naturally I did. This seemed like a huge deal to me as well as all the onlookers that witnessed this situation. Not one person from that office, sales, service, or otherwise has reached out to me to see if I’m ok, or what they can do to help. As per salesman, they’ll “need to look at vehicle first” to assess for a loaner. Would have been nice if they sent one over to help me and make me feel like a valued customer. I would give ZERO stars if I could.

I had a great experience on getting my 2022 Mercedes Benz thanks to Clifford Chen he is very professional and gets the job done. He made sure I got the car I wanted and kept me informed and up to date about when my car would be available. Thankful he put in my order earlier on. It was my first experience at this particular establishment I love the ambience and staff was very nice.

My previous review somehow disappeared but I made an appointment at helms bros and came basically with a suitcase full of cash ready to throw money at them but left disappointed and without a car. I showed up to my appt on time and had to wait. Bunch of sales folks just sitting around twiddling their thumbs but was conveniently set up with an chinese sales person. When she told me she spoke multiple chinese dialects, I told her I don't speak chinese and she became flustered with having to speak to my family in english. I was provided a print out on a car I was interested in and asked about one of the features which the description didnt provide much detail. She just reread the description and then proceeded to tell us that she was late for an appt and that if we wanted more help, we should have scheduled an appt.

Please don't assume customers need a chinese salesperson because they look chinese.very offending.

Gave the parts department the part numbers I needed to be ordered. They refused to order without a VIN number. I know the parts I need and have the part numbers, they don't need the VIN to order. Went to another dealer and had the parts ordered. Don't recommend.

Disappointed. Made an appointment for service about 3 weeks ago, as they told me this was the first day they’ll have a loaner available. After I waited 20-30 minutes, I was told they have no loaner. I wish they would have called me before, instead of waisting my time to drive all the way there and accomplish nothing.

The service center is exceptional. The facilities were clean and well organized and everyone was kind and respectful. My service agent sent me a detailed video about my car and measured the tire treads and break pads for me for my Service A for my C300. All of my experiences with Helms Brothers have been amazing and I will most certainly continue with them well into the future.

Started bad ended good I thought. Was able to make a deal after a week of misinformation. Update less than a month I have a certified used benz and it need to be serviced A SERVICE B wow more money I have to spend. UPDATE AGAIN NOW 3 MONTHS LATER NOW THE SUNROOF WON'T CLOSE I CAN'T BELEIVE I DROVE TO NEW YORK FROM PHILLY FOR THIS WHAT A HEADACE DON'T DO IT.

Salesperson was extremely condescending and pushy over the phone. Basically didn't listen to what I was saying and steamrolled through what I said like he was just reading off a script. I said I wasn't sure because I was still shopping around and he went all Time Warner on me and basically pushed me to put a deposit down with an extremely condescending tone. I said no and he was like okay this is the timeline, this is how much the deposit is, when can I take the deposit. I said no again and he just hung up on me. Terrible experience.

Had to go in for some Recall work, made an appointment on line and requested a loaner. Unfortunately when I go there, they did not have a loaner available, but offer me a Lyft ride back home and pick up when my car was ready… Great service! Thank you Service Advisor Chris Jung!

Service is beyond sketchy. A dealer provided a form and after multiple checks to make sure that the deposit was refundable, he instructed me to sign on the part of the form that indicated that I am committing to a purchase and the deposit would be non refundable. Luckily I caught the error. It really takes a special person to be asked a question seven times and still screw up on the subject of the question.

Left a $500 deposit to test drive a car that I didn’t end up buying, 6 weeks later I’m still fighting to get my deposit back! The last email response I received stated that I would receive it with 4 to 7 business days but that was June 12th! Maybe this review will finally get someone to contact me and give me my money back!

Absolutely amazing dealership with great staff. I just bought my car from them. I worked with the sales person name Anthony and he was amazing. From the beginning he was so welcoming. Didn’t push me to just buy a car to make his sale. He was so patient and made sure that I was absolutely sure about which car I wanted. I would recommend this to everyone if they are interested in buying a Mercedes.

5 Star review for Mike Altamura and Jack from Helms Bros. Mike gave me a number even before coming to the dealership and that's the number that I walked away with. Mike was very professional and his only concern was getting my into the perfect car at an amazing price!

The wait time can be a little long at first but it's well worth the wait. Very pleased with my 2019 C300, looking forward to doing more business with Helms Bros.

I met Kathleen Baade and get Her manager Jean Charvet at Mercedes Benz Helms Bro at Northern Blvd, Fresh Meadow, NY back to Dec 2016.
I was interested on leasing Mercedes CLA250, and I explained to her that’s the first time I was going through leasing for the 1st time in my life and I asked her to explain all the details to me before I sign any paperwork.
She explained to me the run flat tires and she explained to me these tires has a high chance of exploding that’s why she recommended a tire insurance, I told her I want a regular tire with regular rims, she said ok let’s do it. Then I signed the lease agreement and I picked the car on Dec 3rd, 2016.
On Late February 2017 I had my left front tire exploded suddenly so I pulled over I opened my trunk and I looked for the spare tire and I didn’t see it, I was mad and I called Kathleen and she said with a very silly sound that you can drive the car back from NJ to NY on 40 miles speeding, and fought with her on the phone, I left the car at Mercedes NJ dealership to change the tire and I paid $350 and I went on the second day to pick up my car then I called her and she sent me a $500 gift card to calm me down cuz she knew that she mislead me and she knew that I signed the contract after we agreed on a regular tire.
You can imagine I drove the car 34000 miles in 3 years and I’ve changed almost 35 tires in 3 years.
One Sep 2017, I had an accident and I called my insurance to cover the accident cost they said my insurance was stopped a week ago, because Mercedes Benz didn’t send the lease agreement, I called Kathleen and I fought with her on the phone and she tried convincing me that it was not her mistake, and I paid over $3000 out of my pocket to fix the car.
I was disappointed and disparate of CLA250 and I decided that I am not going to deal with them anymore.
My lease contact ended on Dec 3rd 2019, on Early NOv 2019 I called Mercdes to get a pre inspection report.
When the technician came he told me about the penalty if I am not leasing from Mercdes any more and told me about the extra miles that I have to pay for it.
I called Kathleen and her Manager Jean but both of them was trying to convince me that the only way to not pay the return fees was getting another lease from Mercdes.
Which I told them I don’t trust your guys any more and If I would be interested in Mercdes I would do it without your guys twisting arm.

Summary for the Story,

1- I asked for regular tire and she gave me run flat tire which I paid over $5500 of tires changing in 3 yrs.

2- she didn’t explain to me anything regards the lease return fee $595.3- they gave me mileage limits of 10000 miles per year and I drove 4000 miles more so I paid close to $1200 extra for mileage by the way the regular lease in any company is 12000 miles per year.

4- she didn’t sent the lease contract to the insurance company so when I had an accident I paid it out of my pocket which cost me $3000

5- total of the amount paid $ 10200 that on the top of the lease payment.

My advice, Don’t buy Mercdes products at all and if you do, Don’t deal with Mercdes Helms Bro at Long Island.
Please spread the word and warn others of Mercdes product and their employees,
I am going to file complaints at Mercdes home office. I am going to fight till the end!

The parts department was wonderful in locating the correct parts needed for my S class turn signal light. It was a bit difficult knowing which parts were needed but they were helpful and found the correct parts for me that was a perfect fit. The only minor issue was their parts department was not easy to find on the map.

This dealership and specifically Michael Nekava is the best of the best.i just picked up my second car from Michael and throughout the process, Michael was always professional, patient, and made the actual delivery process that much better. Michael is not your typical car salesman.you feel like you are dealing with a friend the whole time. Mikey thank you for all your efforts! As always you have exceeded every expectation.

My cousin sent me to Michael after having an unpleasant experience with the Brooklyn dealership. I have been a long time Mercedes customer and I can truthfully say this was the best customer service I have ever received from Mercedes. Michael was able to get me the exact car I wanted ASAP and made sure to make the transaction as easy as possible. He is VERY professional and doesn’t waste your time. That is why he is the top sales man there. Lifelong customer as long as he is around.

I met with Niki He few days ago, zero explanation about features, and no efforts.and not even enough knowlege about technology in the car.she was not even trying professionally and actively to sell the car, she was just throwing numbers with not enough explaining.very disappointed with Mercedez.

Herman- Completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Upon walking into the dealership Harmon was appointed to my brother and I as our salesman, he rushed us to his desk and didn’t let us sit down. In a very rushed and dismissive manner he gave us numbers for vehicles while standing, and after we mentioned a deal from a Mercedes of Brooklyn advertisement, he told us to leave and go there. A completely awkward, unpleasant, disrespectful experience. I will not be back to this dealership. Rockville, Massapequa, and pretty much any other Mercedes dealership have offered me an incomparably better experience.

Negative star for the 2 receptionists. These 2 young ladies were extremely rude. When I walked in they did not greet me but they stared at me like Im penniless who can not afford a car there. I told them I wanted to take a look at the sedans but not sure what model I like. They then looked at each other and from their facial expression I can tell they do not welcome me there. Very arrogant receptionists with 0 respect for customers.

I called the customer service to ask if one of GLE-350 2017 certificated car is available. I mentioned to them that I am coming from so far so I want be sure the car is in good condition and ready to be sold at the same day. The asked price in the internet was reasonable and the shown pictures indicate that the car in very nice condition. They confirmed over the pone that the car is in very good condition and ready to be picked up if we close the deal. My wife and I went and found that the car is very dirty from inside and has a lot of scratches on the outside body. They told us one of the manager have been driving it for almost a month. This really is not acceptable to us to drive for two hours coming from NJ and found out the certified car is not really ready to be sold. They asked us to come back another and see the car after the service but we have to put deposit. To be honest the sales man was very nice but the manager was very unprofessional. I was very disappointed driving for 4 hours (both ways- Friday night) in traffic and found out the lied to us. Also, very disappointed from the way that the manager handle the situation.
