Came by to see Kate and was IN LOVE with the results. She gave me the iciest, most perfectly beautiful blonde I’ve been wanting for so long! The space is so welcoming and warm, definitely a hidden gem. I’m obsessed. Will be coming back to Kate and Hawthorne for all my blonde needs!

I went to this beauty of a space to get my grays covered with Kate! She was so sweet and knowledgeable. She guided me in the right direction. She clearly is a master at her craft because grays are covered! The space and Kate have such a nice calm energy. I highly recommend Kate.

If you're looking for a hairstylist, I urge you to go to Kate Werner. Kate first started doing my hair sixteen years ago. I still go to her for both cuts and color. Kate is great at helping you find a look that works well for YOU, with a little bit of New York style and edge to it. She's also very helpful with giving suggestions when you aren't sure what to try next. She's been giving me years of beautiful cuts and color. Most recently, we've been playing with longer lengths and lighter shades of blond, and I'm loving it. She's also lovely, fun company, and I always look forward to seeing her. Give Kate a try, and very soon you'll be one of those people who are immediately associated with having "great hair. "

Lourdes is a master of color. I’ve been going to her for a bleach and tone for years and I’ve never been dissatisfied. HIGHLY recommend.

My first hair cut from Garrett was at Antonio Prieto in around 2008. He gave me an amazing cut and also comforted me from the shock of my color being a bit darker than expected. That’s the kind of person he is.
From time to time over the years I’d have to see other stylists but nope.not the same. I live in Maryland now and I still go and see Garrett.
I have a lot of mid-length fine crazy hair that ranges in places from curly to wavy to straight. It is not easy to find someone who can manage it. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I believe he’s one of the best hair stylists in NYC. There is something very special about his technique. His LAYERS! OMG! I’m telling you. He can do anything. When a haircut makes you feel beautiful and fresh even when you just let it air dry.that’s something special.
He is a lovely person and his salon has a very nice comfortable vibe with no pretension or stress.

I've been seeing Garrett since 2015. I always leave the studio truly happy about my hair - and, moreover, myself - because of Garrett's warmth and genuine interest in what I want and the conversations we've shared over the years. After years of struggling to find someone who took the time to understand the quirks that my head of hair possesses, Garrett was an immediate breath of fresh air. I tell everyone I can about him, he's a gift. I can't recommend him and his team at Hawthorne enough.
