Havana Central Times Square

Had 3 of their appetizers last evening. The Empanada sampler was excellent, though could have been a bit warmer. Fried calamari was good, though no different from what I’ve had at other restaurants. The fried pork, unfortunately, was disappointing. Bland, lukewarm and very chewy. Would not recommend that dish.

Such an amazing restaurant from the front desk to the servers, everyone was super friendly and happy to welcome a family with a baby. The food was delicious, you really can’t get enough from that salmon. I strongly recommend this experience when you visit New York!

Reserve table for your party and you’ll have no wait issues, even showed up half hour early and was seated, sever Mike was an excellent host, very respectful, very knowledgeable and made you feel very welcomed. Food was excellent, drinks of mojito was an excellent choice, I recommend it! Prices are excellent and well worth it. Ambiance is excellent and the music makes you feel like your away from the city and on an island! Also certain days the live band is great … touch of class at this restaurant!

Appetizers and drinks came in 5mins and Entrees in 15mins. Staff were friendly and always checked in 5 stars doubled for me. Definitely will do again

When going to the City to see a show, I tend to go to Havana Central due to its location. The food is good. The cocktails are wonderful. The staff is friendly. The decor is tropical. What is there not to like?

Super atmosphere if you like the Latin rhythm, the wait for a table turn was short, fair prices according to the area, the food rich in flavor and abundant, the only thing I did not like is that they bring you everything together, appetizers, salads and a main dish, apart from that, everything is very cool

Do not get your hopes up. Not worth the money and doesn’t live up to true authentic Cuban food. The pernil is dry and rice and beans are unseasoned. Service is slow as well but nice.

Havana Central is in tourist central but it has a New York vibe to it. The empanadas are really good and ask for some of the guava BBQ sauce bc it’s delish! The skirt steak was pretty good although overcooked for medium, it was well seasoned and tasty! The BEST DESSERT I’ve had in a LONG TIME was the Pineapple fried ice cream! 11/10 this was so good I would go back just for that! Overall a good experience and I’d return

Came here because of the Happy Hour. The mojitos are the way to go. Trio of empanadas was very good (triple cheese, shrimp sofrito, beef picadillo). We shared the Tour of Havana for our entree. Great choice to sample different dishes instead of just trying one.

Overcooked refried appetizers which were so subpar. Drinks were good. Staff was nice but appetizers were truly bad. Not worth it.

The waitress was not a happy person. She didn't refill our water until the very end. The food was warm. I asked about a drink she asked me to look it up she was a rude waitress. She didn't deserve the tip that was put on our bill. The restaurant was not full so she can't blame it on over worked.

Let's just say the mojitos alone are worth the visit. Had the sampler appetizer and rib diner, both we're wonderful. Yummy tres leche cake! Great food, reasonable prices, fun atmosphere, and attentive service. Try to sit in Michael's section, he is wonderful.

Stacey, Maria & Carlos were AMAZING! It was my moms bday weekend and were visiting from FL and we had the best time and would definitely come back. The energy was great! & the food and drinks were amazing too. Thank you so much!

I've regularly dined here for nearly 10 years now and it never disappoints. The food is consistently excellent and the fresh lemonade and mojitos to die for. Prices are very reasonable and the service fast and friendly. Get here early as it fills up quickly. Also a great, quick lunch spot. The vibe is fun, fun, fun.

All the Cuban vibes! This was one of our last meals in NYC and it was great! The prices were reasonable and the service was great. I ordered the sampler because I wanted to try more than one appetizer and it was worth it! It was so good I couldn’t get through it all because I was stuffed but I really enjoyed the beef Empanada and the sweet plantains. I loved the sauce that came with it but got a side of the butter garlic and it was good. My mom had the chicken loco sandwich which she said was so delicious and had a lot of flavors. We also ordered the fresh lemonade and added pineapple and mango TRY IT! I think our servers name was Carla and she was great and very attentive. The restaurant is between time square and RFC so the walk isn’t bad at all. The inside and the music gives you Cuban Havana night feels and I love it.

So I really was excited for this place but was a disappointment. My empandas were cold and my rice was lumpy as if someone just reheated leftovers. My street corn was good and the wait staff nice but the food is a pass.

The food is amazing authentic Cuban food. The speciality cocktails are great and the service was extraordinary! If you're near times square you should check this place out.

Food was delicious! Drinks, nicely made. Helpful servers. Perfect walk to to eat after a show.
Make reservations for inside, outside none needed. And it's heated

The food and drink was ABSOLUTELY amazing! I went before I saw a Broadway show and I wish I'd allocated more time to sit longer to really savor my meal. I will surely be returning.
