This place is an unreal amount of fun! Stephanie the instructor is so much fun! Very informative on how to throw the hatches. Definitely will be back!

If you're looking for a fun way to spend an evening with a small or large group, this is the place. You don't need to be fit, you don't need to have aim, you don't need to have ever touched a hatchet or similar thing before. Becca showed us the basics and then gave everyone personalized tips to hone our personal throws. She then set us up in an epic tournament where really any of us could have won. We had so much fun. We will be back! This is highly recommended for anyone over 21. It can definitely be a little loud so bring earplugs if you're sensitive.

We had a get together for my husbands birthday here and would definitely go back again. Corey was extremely friendly and made us laugh during the ax throwing. The beer selection was good and the pretzels were fantastic.

We had a blast. Our instructor “Kat” was full of energy, absolutely hysterical and made our night awesome.

I had been to the city location before going here. A fun, engaging event. I wish Buffalo had more options for games like this. Staff was friendly and kept everyone involved & having a good time.

Only knock here is the set-up. It was a full house, which I imagine it is often, and you really had to be conscious of people walking to the bar, employees moving around, and even your own group getting to the front.

I went here last weekend for our company's holiday party. They did not disappoint! All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Starting from the super easy check in process, the nicest bartenders and our amazing group leader Antoine!

We did order a ton of food to pick on while each of us were waiting to go for our turn. The chips and corn queso were fantastic!

So much fun! Kelsey was a great coach and facilitated a fierce, but friendly, competition. She knew each of our strengths and what we needed to work on to have the best experience, and also knew our names right from the start:) Be prepared to laugh a lot while tapping into your primal rage. We had a holiday party tonight at the Tonawanda street location and the ladies were AMAZING! Becca, Brittany, Gracelyn, and Mareen were fabulous hosts. They took care of everything we needed and Brittany was hysterical getting everyone rounded up. Thank you for a great experience! Can’t wait to be back

I was just expecting another axe throwing bar but was so blown away by how great the staff was. Beer pouring, axe throwing management, clean tables, hot food, you name it they did it. Brittany, Gracelyn, Marren, Becca, thank you so much for all of your help! Will definitely be back

Hosted a private Storage Rebellion event with 50 people at Hatchets and Hops. The staff was awesome as was the atmosphere! Highly recommended!

We booked Hatches & Hops to host our group during a weekend retreat and had an amazing time! We had the space to ourselves, they worked tirelessly to keep up with our food and drink requests. Their team facilitated a FANTASTIC experience instructing, throwing, and guiding us throughout the night. It was a great way to close out our weekend together. Would definitely recommend this location if you are in the area and looking for a fun time!

First time here for a company team building event from Fresenius Kabi and everything here was perfect. Cat was an amazing host and made the whole experience fun as can be.

I was hungry and the missus and I needed to blow off some steam, The website said it was open but when we got there it looked like it was still being constructed on the inside, tables and chairs piled and no lights on. LUCKILY the other one downtown was open otherwise it would've AXED itself a customer.

Bring a bunch of friends for a night of fun, high energy competition. Nice beer selections and snacks.

Had a ball. I didn't realize the practice was not the actual tournament. I thought we were done. Was a great experience the pizza was soooooo good. Make sure you like beer!

The new Blackrock location is awesome! It's very spacious inside and has a huge outdoor patio to relax and enjoy great food and drinks! The instructors and workers are super fun and friendly!

Terrific first time experience at Hatchets and Hops! Jake, the instructor, was awesome and very informative. Food was delicious and beer list was great. I love the exposed brick and industrial interior. Highly recommend, I will definitely be back.

Super cool place with a fun concept. The space is clean and inviting and they have a great selection of beers. Jake (our instructor) was so helpful that even someone as uncoordinated and clumsy as myself managed to hit the target. All of the employees are very friendly and parking was easy. Bonus points having supremely clean bathrooms.

Management at Hatchets and Hops know what they’re doing. I remember when they opened their Main Street location back in 2017. The concept of throwing hatchets at a board similar to a game of darts was unbeknownst to me at the time, but I quickly became infatuated with it. Plus, they serve beer.

Now they have expanded and have a new location in Black Rock. Everything about this place is outstanding. It’s always nice to see older architecture being preserved and utilized in a way that benefits the surrounding community.

With these strange times we are experiencing, it’s comforting to know staff at Hatchets and Hops takes their cleanliness seriously. And I mean very seriously. Everyone wears a mask, there are proper spacing procedures in place and all surfaces are routinely disinfected. I don’t believe I have ever seen a cleaner bar. I write this in earnest.

If you’re looking for a reason to get out of your home or apartment, this may just be the one.

Went there on Saturday and it was the perfect afternoon. The staffs are friendly, good beer selections and the food is good! If you can’t drink like me, they have kombucha and birch beer. I got the birch beer and otto’s ranch bagel, soooo good! I feel totally safe while in there. The staffs were all wearing masks and people kept their distance. There are hand sanitizers everywhere. The tables and bars are being cleaned constantly. When you pay with your credit card, they even hand in back on a clean white towel so there’s no contact, what service! This is a fun place to hang out with friends and throw some axes.
