Halloween Adventure is open again! Glad to have them back.their stock is not as overflowing as before lockdown but nothing beats shopping in person for the details of a costume.their stage makeup, contacts, and fangs selection is still extensive.

Luv this place found some old Christmas stuff that I wasn't looking for but they got my attention so home they went and for the type of stuff they sell the employees were super friendly I only went in to look not to buy and end up buying 6 items

The place has been closed and no one updated the site! Have gone like 3 times and they had a sign about renovations but not sure that’s true.

This thing is closed! Made around 40 streets to get here to find out that it is not working!: - (“

This institution in the East village will be closing its doors end of February. Go for one last visit before it’s too late.

Amazing staff! Kind and helpful. I had pretty good experience there, it's a big store so navigating it was a lot easier thanks to the staff.

Another place that won't answer the phone, so I don't know if my trip will be a waste of time as the item I'm looking for is usually low stock quick sellout, esp during Halloween. Called 3x rang through 2x got sent to vm 1x. At least answer and put some1 on hold. Dont have a public phone number if you only answer for ur boss.

An enormous costume shop (a block wide and two stories tall!) with an incredible selection and helpful staff. Good both if you're looking for a specific item or just looking for inspiration.

Came during Halloween time it is packed but has most things one would need so it is understandable. My only gripe is a layout that doesn’t not try to remedy the crowds.

Came here for the “latex monkey mask” right before Halloween. It was the icing on the cake for my costume. Like a fool I showed up here 24 hours before Halloween, and the store was a mad house, with a long line for 2 registers. Yeah-the store took measures to increase staff, but if they were smart should have opened up more registers, or modernized ways of paying. However, this place has everything you would ever need and is a 365/day operation.

Have anything and everything you need. The staff are nice. Super packed with everything costume related, up to the ceiling.

Packed to the brim with everything you could possibly imagine. The most comprehensive costume store I have ever been to. There's a general theme for each section of the store. So everything is pretty easy to find but if you ask someone that works there, they can help you out too. Even when the store is crazy packed, lines to the cash register aren't bad either. Great for Halloween and pretty much any of your costume needs.

Was attempting to look at Santa wig when this angry young male assistant barked at me to not touch. I tried to explain I was just trying to assess the difference between the two. He barked again, , don't touch. No offer of assistance whatsoever. Worst customer service I have had in NYC.

Selection was fine. Not able to try on in store to confirm size fit properly. Was told I could return for swap or store credit if costume did not fit but upon coming back was told that is not their policy.

WHY is the staff here soooooo rude? I don’t get it. The cashier does say hello, thank you or goodbye, the staff on the floor just push you out of the way without even saying excuse me.the staff by the wigs bark that you NEED to buy a wig cap (I get that but there’s no reason to have an attitude) better to go to Abracadabra then to deal with this toxicity

Picked out 4 items for a costume: hat, fake blood and 2 face paints.the items had stickers on them saying the prices, 99 cents, $2, etc.it was supposed to add up to $15 but when the cashier rung me up, the price was close to $30! Then she gave me an attitude cause I said I didn’t want it anymore.why put price stickers that don’t match the barcode price? So unprofessional and such a waste of time

One star is too high after what i experienced.had the most appalling experience at this store.came in to purchase a wig.didn’t think to open it in the store as i assumed everything is as pictured and brand new.came home & realized the wig is damaged/cut up.came to the store politely the following day with a receipt and the wig in its full packaging (clearly i never even tried it on after seeing the damage). Not only did they not take the return or even offer store credit, the “manager” personality walked over to me to tell me “too bad. ” i stated that i will have to call my credit card company since he refused to accept back faulty merchandise they sold me.he then followed by stating “drop dead. ” disgustingly run store.i live nearby and will avoid it at all costs going forward.
