I purchased a wig for some tv appearances in Florida. Suzie was remarkable- she listened, found the perfect match in color and length and patiently taught me how to work with the wig. I could not ask for better service!

Please, save your hair and don’t go there. They are so unprofessional and not qualified to deal with hair. They ruined my hair taking off keratin extensions incorrectly and overcharged me for the procedure. This place is deadly for your hair and a total rip off. I was fooled by high review’s score and desperate to take off my extensions. They took advantage of me. They ripped off a huge chunk of my own hair and had the audacity to claim that was extension piece. I know my hair, I can tell the difference and they could not or pretended they didn’t. I guess, how otherwise you can explain a customer why you ruined their hair and overcharge them for this. I was crying for days over my hair after visiting this place. Please, don’t repeat my mistakes, save yourself from pain and suffering. This is an honest review! I hope this place goes out of business and will not ruin anyone’s hair again.

Alexandra is so empathetic, patient and such an expert on wigs she made my 84yr old mom feel like a queen, leaving feeling confident about herself with her new wig! Thank you so much!

As I get most of my learning things, I went to the website to see what services offered in wig salons in NYC. After I read the items that were available, I made an appointment to meet with a stylist.

I was able to get a convenient time for that week. When I came and met Alex, she was very easy to speak with. I had been in over 2 weeks when we talked about the human hair that I wanted and the color that I wanted, etc. Alex was able to make the perfect color and the cut is wonderful. I am coming again this week to make sure that I can wash and handle my hair.

My close friends are telling me I look younger, and they love hair is great. Alex will be my close person going forward.

I visited this salon after looking for places that were familiar with donating hair since that was the main goal of me getting a haircut. I called in and was able to make an appointment very quickly and had all my initial questions answered. When I entered the place I felt very welcomed and everyone was very pleasant. The stylist who cut my hair, Shanta, was very knowledgeable and helped with getting my hair to a length and style after the initial donation cut. I wasn't sure of exactly what I wanted initially and wasn't expecting the amount of service I got for a hair cut who's main purpose was for donation. Even during the cut everyone was very friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience.

I just donated my hair there and they made it so easy! Very helpful and great staff! It was my first time doing it and I felt the experience was so helpful. Thanks again for a great job!

Suzie is the absolute best! I’m going through chemotherapy and she was so understanding and helpful during this tough time. She chose the most beautiful wig and I get so many compliments on it. It looks so natural. It was expensive but worth every penny. She made me feel beautiful.hairPlaceNYC is a godsend.

Trinita is wonderful. She initially assisted me with picking out the perfect wig when I lost all my hair. Now that it has grown back, she colors, styles and cuts my hair in the most flattering way. She always tells you the condition of your post chemo hair and always advises me as to what can be done given the delicate condition of post chemo hair. Trinita has a wonderful positive attitude. Her kindness and attention to detail make it a wonderful experience to see her. She knows what you are going through from the initial trauma of hair loss with chemo and helps you make selections that will make you feel beautiful and confident. Post chemo, through all growing stages, she will make you look your best. I highly recommend her.

We saw Shanta who fitted us for a wig. She is so kind caring and patient, considering buying a wig can be a bit of an emotional process. I highly recommend her.

Alexandra helped me select a wig that is very flattering and comfortable. She explained all the options, the pluses and minuses of certain styles and wig types, how to care for the wig, and more. She coached me on the proper way to put on my wig - I practiced it seven times before I left the shop, because Alexandra says that is the lucky number, and she was right! By the time I left I was very confident in my look, and my ability to maintain it. I highly recommend this shop, and book Alexandra if you can!

I visited Andrew’s salon In hopes to find a wig for my sons wedding. My hair has not grown back to the full and thickness it once was prior to chemo. Andrew and his team explained to me my options, helped me find the right look and fit for me and made me feel good about my new “accessory! ” Alex worked with me as I tried on many styles multiple times! Great experience and would highly recommend their services.

I bought a wig at this salon several years ago and it was perfect! I went back to meet with Alex to see if they would be able to provide me with a short hair extension - like a messy bun or short ponytail. Alex was very honest with me and indicated that they do not have this kind of product - BUT she took the time to find a place that did have what I was looking for - called and even made the appointment for me. Just had my complimentary wig consultation with Tenzin and it was a fabulous and informative appointment! The wigs she selected were all gorgeous and very well-made. She was extremely patient in trying to find me the just right fit, even while still having my hair. I went in before I lost it to my chemo treatments. She also provided me with an estimate and all the info I’d need to check with my insurance on coverage.
