The food is amazing but the seating next to the bar is a little uncomfortable since people kept bumping into your chair and hang their coats on your sofa…

Gluten free options that were divine
It was - for once without hyperbole - the best meal I've ever had in my life.

That duck was like touching God

Had a drink at the bar. It was fine. It's rather busy place and rather expensive. I'll have dinner here one day during Restaurant Week.

Such an amazing experience at Gramercy Tavern! The service was outstanding with very friendly and helpful staff. The food/drinks were amazing! The tasting menu was very reasonably priced

Fantastic tasting menu with wine pairing in a beautifully decorated space. The service was beyond expectations. Highly recommend - but make sure to score a reservation!

Absolutely no doubt for 5 stars for everything.

We did the 4 course tasting menu for lunch and every single thing was perfection.

Firstly, getting reservations was relatively easy given it was holiday season. We were even able to call and move our slot to a time that wasn't shown on resy. We were running late (as usual nyc traffic) and everyone was courteous and accommodated a late lunch.

I'm vegetarian and my husband is not, so here's what we got for the seasonal 4 course menu.
1. Beet and chicory starter for both
2. Bass for husband, squash and chicory for me
3. Duck for husband, butternut squash fritters for me
4. Hazelnut tart for both

Everything was made to perfection. The sauces were the star in all dishes enhancing the flavors just right.
Best of all - warm potato rolls and butter. So amazing we got it twice!

Just wanted to give a shout out to our server Mary Beth who *served* in all senses of the term when my friend Dan and I came in for a special occasion dinner last week. Knowledgeable, warm, and efficient, she made us feel like we were the only table she was serving all night.

Having just finished reading Danny Meyer’s Setting the Table (and having just started my own serving journey) I was excited to experience a Danny Meyer restaurant and see if it lived up to the principles espoused in the book and I’m happy to say that it did, especially Mary Beth’s virtuosic performance. I left inspired and thinking how far I have to go to ever hope to deliver the exceptional service she gave us. Thank you Mary Beth!

The only thing I will say that kind of bummed us out at the end and made us feel like they didn’t stick the landing was that at the end of the night we were standing in the vestibule/entrance of the restaurant waiting for our car. We were the last ones in the restaurant and after a few minutes a woman (red hair, bun) came over and said “we have to lock the doors now” before essentially kicking us to the curb lol

Granted it was past midnight by that point, but the reservation they offered us when I called last minute to make one was for 9: 45 on a Wednesday (which I thought was late given they close at 10: 30pm but figured—they know what they can accommodate so I’ll take it). I didn’t think our dinner lasted any longer than the usual time it takes for the tasting menu (the pacing was swift because we didn’t get sat until about 10pm) so I was a little surprised at the end by the attitude at us being there so late (don’t offer a 9: 45 reservation if it’s going to be an issue).

This is the only thing that, right at the very end, left a bad taste in our mouth and kind of shattered the fantasy. Especially since we weren’t lingering in the dining room and weren’t in the way of any other closing duties they might have needed to perform. I couldn’t help but wonder if we had been more important ($$) people we would have been allowed to stand in the entrance a few minutes longer and wait for our car rather than out in the cold.

I get it—really—we all have places to be and I hate to think I was that one guest who just won’t leave, and 12: 30 is quite late to be in a restaurant that closes at 10: 30 but…was that our fault? Idk

Anyways, Mary Beth, you’re a genius. We will come back just for you. And shout out to the guy who was working the coat check. For such a brief interaction, he made it so sweet.

Overall very nice and memorable experience in the dining room. Arrived a little early and table wasn't ready until 15 minutes past reservation time. The tavern was very crowded, so that wasn't a great start. Graciously offered complimentary glass of sparkling wine when we were seated. We added the wine pairing to dinner. Have to say the first couple of courses were very slow to come out. First dish arrived 45 minutes after being seated. Then it was like 30 minutes for next couple of courses. But our glasses were refreshed when the food arrived. All of the dishes were delicious and unique. The squid ink pasta was our favorite. My partner and I should have ordered differently from each other to try more things. Specifically I wish I tried the Norwich Meadows Squash. I preferred the lamb over the duck, but my partner was the opposite. I don't think you can go wrong no matter what you order! Our server and sommelier were delightful. I fault no one for the slow speed. I think they were just exceptionally busy for the holidays and the tavern being packed.

Would have given five stars for food, but the last course on the tasting menu had ALOT of sodium. We were seated promptly, the hospitality was genuine.

Whether you are going for a snack in the bar or a full tasting menu experience Gramercy Tavern always delivers excellent service. A must if you’re a foodie in New York.

Nothing but amazing things to say about Gramercy Tavern and their tasting menu. They were very accommodating despite a last min addition to our reservation and the menu was accommodating for a friend who was a vegetarian. Highly recommend

Top BCCI officials recently had a marathon meeting with India captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Rahul Dravid and the selection committee to discuss various things about Indian cricket. Among the top agendas was the review of India's ODI World Cup campaign. They ended up as the runners-up after losing the final to Australia. BCCI secretary Jay Shah, vice president Rajeev Shukla, and treasurer Ashish Shelar also wanted to know the roadmap of Indian cricket going ahead, especially considering the fact the T20 World Cup is just six months away. The ODI, T20I and Test squads for the South Africa tour were also picked during the meeting.
Rohit, who joined the meeting held in New Delhi, via a zoom call as he was in London at that time, enjoying quality time with his family after a gruelling few months of non-stop cricket, reportedly asked the top BCCI officials and the selectors if they wanted him to be a part of the upcoming T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA. An official present in the meeting narrated the conversation between Rohit and the others, as reported by Dainik Jagran. Rohit asked the officials present and the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee if they saw him playing in the T20 World Cup. 'If you want to select me for the T20 World Cup then tell me now how to go about it, ' said Rohit in the meeting according to the official, as reported in the Hindi daily.

The officials present, coach Dravid and the selectors reportedly agreed unanimously that Rohit is the right man to lead the team's charge in the T20 World Cup. The report added that the selectors, in fact, wanted Rohit to take charge of the T20I side from the South Africa tour itself but the veteran opener requested a break from the entire white-ball leg.

The selectors agreed to that and decided to continue with Suryakumar Yadav as captain for the three-match ODI series starting December 10. KL Rahul, on the other hand, was handed over the captaincy for the ODI squad.

Notably, Rohit has not played a single T20I since the World Cup held in Australia in 2022. After India lost in the semi-final of that tournament to England, Rohit and Virat Kohli decided to take a break from the shortest format. The captaincy for the India T20I side was given to Hardik Pandya.

It should be mentioned, that the BCCI never announced Pandya as the captain of India's T20I side officially nor was anything mentioned about Rohit and Kohli's future in this format. The dynamic batters decide to skip T20Is for the last year or so to concentrate on the ODI World Cup. Now that it is out of the way, there is no reason to believe they would not be considered for T20I selection.
Pandya's ankle injury which he sustained during an ODI World Cup group-stage match against Bangladesh, is also believed to have played a role in the selectors going back to Rohit. The all-rounder was ruled out of the World Cup, the home series against Australia and the entire South Africa tour. With no timeline for his return and his injury-prone nature, considering him as a long-term captain in any format has become difficult.

A young Indian side led by Suryakumar beat Australia 4-1 in the recently concluded T20I series. Most members of that side have been retained for the South Africa tour. India have only six more T20Is scheduled before the World Cup. Therefore, the form of those in reckoning in the first half of the IPL is likely to play a crucial role in selection.

Went for Thanksgiving dinner as is one of the best rated american cuisine restaurants currently. The menu was very well curated for Thanksgiving and I was completely surprised on the taste the manage to accomplish for the Turkey dish they were offering. The rest of the dishes were very good but no surprises there for a restaurant of this quality. A bit overpriced in my opinion

Great wine list and very good food. Interesting choices. I had the duck meatloaf and was pleased with my choice. It was flavorful and different from any meatloaf I’ve had before. Staff were amazing. Not intrusive, but very attentive. Had the chocolate pudding cake for dessert. It was excellent.

Good food but not so good it should cost that much. I bet the rents are high and all, but the fine dining experience requires really interesting food choices and I wanted something either more interesting or more homely.

Chef Michael Anthony and the team are fantastic. Gramercy Tavern is an oasis of high standards and delicious food, especially the Roasted Delicata of Pumpkin. Thank you. Sincerely,

Utmost professional service and iconic bar. Burger is delicious. Cocktails are wonderful too, but $30 for one drink means it’s reserved for a special occasion.
