Dropped the car off yesterday for oil change service and needed a new thermostat at 11: 30 AM. Received video inspection of the car a few hours later and all was good. Called service around 2 PM for an update and service provider was at lunch and was told we would receive an update soon. We never received an update and the car ended up being kept overnight without any communication that the car was being kept that long. Called this morning and service provider said he tried calling two times yesterday and didn’t receive a response. We do not have any missed calls from Mazda let alone any voicemail that was left…so lying? Pick the car up today and were told that they needed to keep the car to drive it as valet left yesterday at 4 and was unable to have anyone drive it. Was told they drove the car to and from jones beach to ensure the engine light turned off and all was good. The mileage on the car was the exact same as when we dropped it off…so lying again? Will not be using garden city Mazda service again. Will go to a different service department in the future.

I was a walk in after an unprofessional encounter at Toyota down the block. Angie was my sales point person. She was terrific! Transparent, knowledgeable, professional, not to mention facilitated the successful purchase of my Mazda. Anthony in finance gets a shout out too! I am more than pleased by garden city Mazda and encourage you give them a visit if/when you are in need of a vehicle.

The dealership is beautiful and brand new - worthy of a flagship location. We were helped by Gabriel, who was very knowledgeable, clear, and easy to work with. The rest of the staff was also very professional. Would shop there again!

I had my 2015 Mazda serviced today and the entire process was smooth and stress free. I booked an appointment the night before using the online booking system, dropped my car off and it was ready ahead of schedule and even came with a free car wash voucher. The drop-off area and service department was clean, air conditioned and very comfortable.

Garden city mazda its place of liars and staff and managers over there so rude… i had two bad experience there to buy cars after checking and confirming availability before going there and both times they lied and said that car has been sold even though it was available and they were just trying show different cars on what they can male more money and i was not interested at all… i just wanna suggest you all customers who wanna go there …JUST THINK THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE YOU GO THERE OR I WOULD SUGGEST DO NOT EVEN VISIT THEIR WEBSITE TOO because at the end they will lie or cheat. Sales person Hassan was good. He took me on a brief test drive of a CX-5. Sales person was driving at my request. I asked for the ride to include time on a highway because I needed to know how noisy the cabin was at highway speeds. He did not do that for some reason and I did not bring it up again. The vehicle used for that test drive did not match the engine type that I was interested in anyway, so there is that.
In the end, the buying experience was acceptably good because I purchased the car at pretty much MSRP. This is the primary reason I rated GC Mazda 4-stars. I spent well over 6 hours at the dealership, so it was not an easy buying experience. Thankfully, I received wheel locks and all-weather mats w/o added cost.

PS:
I never buy the extended warranty when I purchase the vehicle, HOWEVER, I was told by the finance person that Mazda ONLY sells the Mazda extended warranties at the time of vehicle sale. I found this extremely odd.
In the past, I always buy the extended warranty when the original factory warranty is about to expire, since by then, I know whether I will be keeping the car longer term. Here, I felt forced to buy the extended warranty, or essentially, Mazda would not sell me a direct factory extended warranty just before the original (3-year) warranty runs out.
I have owned 8 prior cars. All except one was purchased new. This is my first Mazda.

Waited weeks for a car because the title was “lost”, just to feel like I was the “hassle” by asking for updates on what was going on or if I can test drive on the day of pick up. Terrible terrible terrible customer service, and I mean a 6 year old would be more pleasant to deal with. But hey, great cars. And that’s why they act the way they do id imagine.

I had posted the above post maybe 2 weeks ago, throughout this time since I’ve purchased the vehicle august 28th has found to have had “warped rotors” which after a hassle back and forth, was paid for by garden city. To then have vibration issues still, to then find out 2/4 tires need to be replaced. To then call garden city in which I’ve been dealing with ray brown, to then be told the tires were sold with a minimum standard. If they were sold with a minimum standard, they wouldn’t be shaking or need replacement. So just so everyone knows, I put 4,000$ down to then be near 1500$ in repair costs within a month of purchasing the vehicle. I take back the above statement, because these people don’t certify vehicles the correct way let alone if they are at all. I would never do business here again, leaving “certified vehicles” to be repaired by the new owners. Month into driving it, tires and rotors needed, these guys could care less about actually giving someone a taken care of vehicle and obviously corners were cut when it came time to selling

P. S. I think they create fake reviews to make it look good because I know for a fact the people posting didnt not have issues at some point with something that’s how confident I am this place is trouble.

Picked up our car a few days after we decided on the buy and left a down payment. When we arrived to get it there were many new scratches to the front bumper with a really bad touch up job. When we were discussing the sale we were told all scratches would be fixed when the car was being detailed. This was obviously not the case. The used car manager wouldn’t provide us any help or accommodating, just to buy it or leave. The gas tank was also not filled up entirely, it was left at a little less then 2/3s. After making such an expensive purchase it would’ve been nice leaving happy and excited instead of feeling like we got a bad deal.

This was definitely the most positive vehicle purchase experience that I could have hoped for.

After having multiple horrible experiences at other dealerships, I reluctantly came to this one to get a repair that was under warranty. The service department was extremely professional and I was in and out within 30 minutes. They even fixed a cosmetic issue within the car without me even asking. I will definitely be back. I meet with a sales person who was unwilling to help. I was looking upon deals since I was desperate to get a new car.the representative went over to call someone else who spoke my native of language without even asking me if I needed someone to translate. I end up walking away from the dealership because that was very rude.

The service I asked for was performed. However, it is insane that when I bring up a few minor issues that may or may not be real, I was told that just following up and checking to see if there is anything would cost about $140 per item. If all I needed was the base service and maybe 15 minutes checking and maybe using WD-40 on the seat rail would have cost me about $500! BAD SERVICE and bad attitude. What happened to the automatic checking of the vehicle all around marking tires, brakes etc. I never got that page

Walked into GC Mazda thinking it was going to be quick and easy, considering the dealership is located within 5 minutes of where I live. I was wrong. Ty was the salesperson. Unbelievably unprofessional. Worst experience. Made countless mistakes, too many to list. It's a shame they are building such a beautiful building next door to have such unqualified workers to inhabit it. Lied about prices, mocking customers, etc. Overall an embarrassment to a brand like Mazda because they make a great car, took my business elsewhere to MAZDA WANTAGH and was in and out within an hour, quick and easy. I am from Garden City so it was a bit of a drive but if you are in the market for a Mazda take the extra 25 minutes and make the drive to Wantagh, it will be worth your while.

I leased my CX-5 2021 from Garden City. I was given excellent customer service from Andrew in sales 10/10. He was so helpful and informative. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed. He helped me get a deal that was in my budget. Andrew should definitely be Employee of the Year!
Even after I picked up the car he texted me a few times - to ask if I had any questions and how I liked the car. His help was so genuine. I would rate Andrew 100/100. Ask for Andrew (sales dept) next time you go to Garden City Mazda.

Al was great, when I walked in and bought a car obviously. After that was super responsive for me to give him a good review, texting me everyday to remind me. I love the car. However, as soon as I left the good review, he stopped being responsive and didn’t follow through on a single promise. I came in with a pre approval and specifically said only send my credit report to them, he agreed, and then I got 3 hard inquiries. Said they were going to remove it a month ago, no response or update. I’m still waiting for the copy of the warranty I bought to be emailed, which I was supposed to receive a month ago. Everyone was friendly, but they just want good reviews with no follow through. Keep your paperwork!

Worked with Waled to get the best deal on the car, he answered all my questions and was just amazing. Also worked with Saheer for the financing portion, and he was able to get me that 0% APR. Definitely recommend this dealership than the others ones in the island.

Contacted them about a vehicle I found online and they gave me one price until I started asking about questions then Flabio states that there is an added $1999 to the price. When asked why he said "to condition it. All vehicle have that added. " Why not be honest and put that as the advertising price why deceive people then add 2000 without them knowing. That's so wrong. I didn't even want to go in. They are so shady.

Worst dealership. Negotiated price over the phone. They increased the price of around $4000 after meeting them at dealership even after confirmation over the email. Drove 8 hrs to and fro to reach dealership and they cheated. Unprofessional dealers to work with. Better to avoid in all situations. Not trustworthy people. When mentioned about reviews, manager said they dont care and they have expertise in cheating people already. All the positive reviews are managed by them and are fake. Be careful guys!

Priced out a cx5 today, 8/30, turbo AWD carbon edition. They charge a 1500 market adjustment, just FYI. For those who don't throw their money away I'd skip this dealership.

09/01/2021 - Since the change in ownership, I've been a bit unhappy with the service since records of my prior purchases were lost. So every time, I needed something done that was part of my package, I had to fight tooth and nail to get the charges waived. This latest visit, Mike was SUPER helpful. I hit a pothole and destroyed my tires.again. Mike arranged everything, told me when I will get my car back, Lyft'ed me home, and advised me to bring in my paperwork so he can update my file with my prior purchases. Very next day, got my call to pick up the car and reminder to bring in paperwork. I came in, files got updated, and hopefully no more future confusions. I left the shop a happy camper.the way it should be.

2020 - Bought before from Josh (2018) and once again he treated us with energy and passion! He didn’t push us to buy and spent the time making sure we found what we wanted. In the end, we got a very fair price.

All the staff at Garden City Mazda go above and beyond. When we first came in, a different salesperson greeted us but once they found out that we bought before, he made sure we got to Josh. There wasn’t any stealing commission. It was customer first. He made sure we were coffee’d up and comfortable.

I would say I had an very good experience at Garden City Mazda with Thomas who is a Sale Consultant. I rarely write a review but I have to say that the process was smoothly and I really didn’t expect that I received my favorite car that fast. Definitely recommend this dealer for whom looking for a new vehicle even a Mazda or other brands. Really enjoyed!

I typically detest going to service my car at centers associated with a showroom. I prefer the unassuming nature of smaller garages since I never feel pressured to make expensive and often questionable fixes.

However, my first experience at the Mazda service center in Garden City was one my best. Juan Carlo (I think I got the name right) was the consummate professional, he suggested a fix for something but didn’t ask twice when I refused. The staff were very pleasant to deal with from check-in to cashier. The wait was reasonable and everything seemed to work like clockwork.

Definitely will be taking my car back there when needed.
