Most of the times, Times Square Restaurants over charge for average food, not with Gallaghers.

30 dollar lunch menu, 32 with dessert, amazing price for the location and quality of food and service you get here.

Clam chowder was delicious, tomato based which is a nice change from the cream based chowders. The 10oz filet which is a 18 dollar surcharge is very worth it in my opinion. The sliced steak is great but the 10oz filet is amazing. Beautiful sear on the steak, cooked to my liking and is just delicious, creamed spinach lives up to its fame. Smooth and creamy mashed potatoes. The salmon was really good as well. The NY cheesecake is one of the best I’ve had in NYC.

The service is great, attention to details are amazing. There was always someone there when we needed them.

The atmosphere is classy, old fashioned but still comfortable.

Totally love the meat here, the atmosphere is so relaxing and their food is really delicious too. They have an excellent menu selection and their prices are one of a kind.

Definitely one of the top steakhouses in NYC! Everything was incredible, as was the service! I would recommend the steak tartare for an appetizer and anything that involves their blue cheese!

Food was good, convenient location, service elements could be better but definitely wasn't bad. Our NY sirloin steak meals were prepped with attention to details and the house sauce was a great pairing. Would be up for trying again.on a less busy night.

The business hours are set at 10 o'clock, but I'm not sure if that's correct.

Sat down after a show at the bar for a snack and some drinks. Fantastic bar, great vibe. Great conversation with those sitting around us and the bartenders.

Good welcome. Excellent meat. Expect around 130 Dollars/person for meat, a side dish and a glass of wine, tips not included.

This is the classic American steakhouse. Not the modern and stylish restaurants. There is a noble and special atmosphere at Gallaghers.

I had an outstanding lunch at Gallaghers Steakhouse today. While I've been here once before a long time ago, after lunch today, I am wondering to myself why it's been so long since I've come back. The whole experience from the food, the service, and the atmosphere at the bar was fantastic. I absolutely loved the steak sauce, too. While it's not as sweet as the sauce at Wolfgang's or Peter Luger's, it has a great unique taste that I absolutely loved. After today, I now have a new lunch spot to frequent in Midtown!

Too expensive for the quality of the food. Very noisy. The meat accompaniment (green beans), very tough. It's not worth what they say.

Excellent steakhouse. We stopped for lunch during a day out in the city. We did not have a reservation but, thankfully, we were able to get a table. Old school steakhouse vibe with classic offerings.
Our appetizers consisted of fried calamari, crab cake and Caesar salad. The calamari was lighted breaded, crispy and tender. The crab cake was very flavorful and the side cucumber salad was a pleasant addition.
Enjoyed the NY strip steak as well as the filet mignon. Their steak sauce complimented the steak with added sweetness, although the steak held its own flavor. The baked potato and asparagus sides were typical.
Too full for dessert, but what we saw come out to other tables looked great.
The service was excellent, our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. He addressed allergy concerns and made sure we were safe with ordering. We will definitely be back!

Our dining experience here was absolutely wonderful!
We were in town to see the Eagles concert at MSG and decided to try a different steakhouse instead of our usual. We weren’t disappointed trying somewhere new.
HIGHLY recommend making reservations or you’ll be out of luck trying to get in.
The Host was professional and courteous.
Seated us accordingly to our reservation.
Walking through was an experience of all the wonderful memories this restaurant had.
Beautifully decorated with pictures of the past and richly colored with old world charm.
The bar room was centered well to accommodate more guests.
Our dining table was towards the back where we had a nice view of the open concept kitchen.
The booth was very comfortable.
Seating seemed to be a bit crowded during peak dinner hours. We had a lot of room at 4: 30pm when we arrived. At 5pm is when more guests started arriving and we had guests fill up all along the wrapped booth. It was enough to eat comfortably but to close to get out from the booth comfortably with disturbing the table.
Staff was also absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable of their menu.
Menu had quite a bit of deliciousness to chose from.
Prices were very reasonable for this upscale steakhouse.
Drink menu had a great selection of wine, champagne, cocktails and beers. Also reasonable prices.
Service was on par for timing of drinks, appetizers to entrees.
Did not order dessert since we’re not dessert people.
Since the restaurant became busier, our waiter was a bit slower to getting our check. We were on a tight schedule to get to the concert so we had to flag our waiter to move things along. It’s understandable not a big deal.
Ambiance was so relaxing and quiet soothing despite the hustle of a busy kitchen.
Overall, we had such an exquisite meal and wonderful conversations about this place. Love it! Thank you Gallaghers.

Beautiful! This is the best steakhouse in town! Had the lunch special and it is an absolute steal! The staff are funny and the service is fast. The steak was so tender and the mac and cheese was tasty! The NY Cheesecake had a strong amount of cinnamon but actually worked really well. I wish I visited earlier. I really would eat here everyday!

Especially, Lunch menu is gorgeous. It costs 32$ per person, excluding tax and tip, but was worth way beyond the price.

The staff are not very friendly, 6 they were not welcoming to us both times we were there.
Their food is amazing. Our server was superb. Everyone else, from my perspective, treated us like they were doung us a favor to get us a seat.
I went there a second time assuming the first visit was an outlier. But the same treatment from the front of the house staff. Managers don't even check on you as I am used to in a high-end steakhouse.

Lovely restaurant with friendly staff, excellent food and a proper New York atmosphere. The 3 course lunch menu is great value. Highly recommended.
