The Messa Rink at Achilles Center is a great place to enjoy a college hockey game! The arena fits a little over 2,000 people for a game. Most of the seats are wooden benches. Seating is quite cozy and close to the rink, making it feel like you’re right on top of the action. From the bleachers there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. On nights where there is a sell out there are some standing room only seats located on the ends of the rink. Concessions are moderately priced and include the usual stadium foods such as popcorn, pretzels, and soda. There are also vending machines located at the end of the rink. No alcohol is sold. Tickets are available for purchase online. It is best to buy tickets ahead of time online. Parking can be tricky, but there are spots available. Make sure to take in the 2014 NCAA trophy in the lobby on your way into the game!
Super awesome rink! Just what’d you’d expect from a college rink. Benches are very long and there is a lot of space. Stadium is nice but the steps are quite steep. Super clean and awesome locker rooms. Only bad thing is that there is no entrance straight to the rink from some of the locker rooms and you have to take the stairs.
A very nice facility. Had a bleacher seat which was like a high school gym seat. But it was high enough to catch all the action. They did a nice job with cameras and music to keep your attention. All in all a very nice experience.
I love this place! We come for games, rec hockey, and open skate. Everyone who works here goes out of their way to help you enjoy the ice, regardless of the activity.
Messa rink is the greatest hockey venue on earth to watch the Union Dutchmen! Sitting in section M we are close to the action and feel like we are right in the game! It's also fantastic for public skate with the family, and top shelf hockey! Can't wait for covid to be eradicated and Messa get back to normal. Great staff, Brianne, Barry and Shaun, keep it running and in top shape.

Old rink but it has the classic feel of what an old rink should be on campus. It's not like Mullins Center, Conte, Agganis or UMass Lowell which are just these concrete squares with a rink in the middle.
