The course is well-designed, with picturesque views enhancing the golfing experience. The staff is friendly, and the facilities are clean. Whether you're a seasoned player or a novice, this course provides an enjoyable round in a peaceful setting.
This is a fun short city course. You really have to learn the holes if you want to score. A lot of the holes have a trick to them or a specific way you need to play them. You have to be able to get off the tee accurately as well with all the trees. It can be a beautiful place. The tee boxes are a mess but they are working on them and I'm excited to play the new ones they are working on. Nice guys in the clubhouse. Salt of the earth golfers here. Good public track. The complete opposite type of course is Marine park. Great to play both of them
I really like this city course. They've currently got a couple of the tee boxes roped off as they're doing work, which I view as a good sign. There are some times where you'll go and play some long rounds - particularly on weekends but if you can get out in the morning or early afternoons, it's great time. All in all, i'm glad that i've got this course in my backyard.
Pristine! Well above city course norms! Lots of awesome sight lines that allow for full creativity in your game. Par 3s are fun. Nothing easy, nothing unfair. Definitely will be back
PSA: At least half the tee boxes are under construction, making the course probably play 5500, or less. Greens are VERY SLOW. We waited on every shot, every hole, but because the course is playing so short, managed to finish in 4.5 hours.
I understand the bad reviews as far as the shape of the course but this is not the fault of the crew or the management it's because of lack of funding. Everybody has the same advantage and disadvantage here. If you're a golf lover and you want to get out quickly and hit the ball and swing the club for a while this is a great place but don't expect any Championship style PGA style course in the heart of Queens New York City cuz it just doesn't exist. I'm a very competitive golfer but I also am somebody that believes that the foursome is what makes the day and if you're going out with a bunch of good friends and brothers the course does matter but it doesn't matter as much if you having a great time
Park will not send out notifications or answer calls on canceled days/no out days.
We had a rain date and that's totally fine and fair but making your paying customers show up to notify them is a waste of time. Either send out a notification or answer the phone.
Overall didn't get to play. Course looked decent, looks more like Penninsula then a traditional course. Still very much playable.
We didn't necessarily play golf We took pictures on the beautiful grounds. Sooo, we were headed to Forest Park to take pictures of my little gift from God Adus'Ray's 4th birthday and my friend/brother Andrew Chad Caldwell stopped and took these beautiful pictures for us.
I was in the background telling Adus'Ray what to do because he does not like taking pictures. He was Spiderman, the Hulk and Ironman. He has autism and doesn't like taking pictures. In the end, he loved the superhero shots.
No near by public transportation, but good free parking for own vehicle. Trees lost their color, but beautiful and lot of green in other season. Everybody will like it if they like nature. Park and golf club course, both are pleasant and lovely. Light visitors around. 0laying golf is restricted for all public.
Layout is so unique and awesome. Anyone complaining about conditions is a loser and should go join a country club. Conditions are completely fine and reminder - you’re golfing in queens not the hamptons
Horribly ran course. Ridiculously slow and no cart girl or water jugs for our 6 hour round. And the turn isn't at the clubhouse so no chance to get food or drinks. Tee boxes were destroyed.
The is no break after 9 holes. It is a straight 18 that brings you back to the clubhouse. Was extremely disappointed when I got thru 9 and couldn’t refuel.
Course is in pretty good condition recently. However, the starter is rude, mean, and quite condescending. It has been so bad that I’ve pushed our tee times to other public courses.
It's about what I have come to expect from a city course. Fairways and greens are in good shape. Some T-boxes are pretty beat up especially the ones where the trees prevent the grass growth. The bunkers are terrible no sand, no rakes and rock hard. But overall I had perfect weather and a good pace of play plus I broke 90 which is my target every time out
I will it is the nicest golf course in Queens. Love it. Its big and nice. The only problem is the parking. It doesn't have enough parking for the golf course but it has a large parking lot for the picnic area.
Easy going course. A few people around, gets packed on the back 9 as the courses play next to each other. Only a couple of water hazards, otherwise no real traps. Course has a fair bit of water logging, but only one or two greens are impacted. Great casual course.
I wish I can give 0 star, golf course is really bad shape, tee area is bad, fairways bad, greens are worst to play. Poor management, supervisor or manager has to take better steps to improve the conditions. We are paying bunch of dollars to play, totally waste of money. Will never return to play unless they take care good care of the course.
Takes up the most of the park, i tried to walk to the grave yard to pay my respects today and this must be one of the drained swamps Trump was talking about. I pray one day it will rain enough to put the water back where it belongs. This place is a grave yard of a different type and it breaks my hearts.
Called to see if I could spectate four friends. The pro shop said of course, and that they could set me up with a cart for $10. But after being refused by two employees it turns out to be the case that their phone has been out for two months and redirected to another golf course. The pro shop workers were discourteous and did not make coherent logical statements. Not what one expects from a golf club.
