The staff at this location is very kind and also considerate. I had shown up an hour early to my appointment and the receptionist was kind enough to have fit me into an earlier slot since one of the clients missed her grace period. Being that it was my first wax ever, I didn’t know what to expect but Michelle had made this experience worth it! Gentle, took her time, and also had a welcoming personality, I kinda forgot I was even getting waxed lol. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a clean and welcoming wax center! I love coming to this location. I have been coming for a year or so now and never had a bad experience. The receptionist Kim is so SWEET! Ashley was my aesthetician and she was AMAZING! Last time I came she helped a newer employee with my wax and executed! Such a great, friendly and very helpful environment. I don’t go anywhere else. My sister comes here too, definitely recommend for first timers!

My first wax was supposed to be free however, I was told 50% off when I was finished but told something else when I booked appointment. Also, that what's advertised. My eyebrows were horrible. The customer service was good, but my results weren't.

Got my first ever Brazilian wax done today here at Riverdale EWC! My wax specialist, Sangira, was absolutely amazing! I told her it was my first time and she made me feel so comfortable, constantly talking to me, giving me upkeep tips, making jokes, etc. She took her time (was finished in about 20-25 minutes) and I absolutely love my results!

Would highly recommend Sangira and will deff be seeing her again next month!?

Been coming to this location for a few years seeing different waxers with mixed levels of skill. Being an extra hairy girl I need to make sure I have a wax attendant who is meticulous and detailed. Today I had one of my best waxes from ASHLEY, super kind and respectful waxer who really is amazing and approaches waxing like an art form. She made me feel very comfortable the whole time and listened.

First time going to this location and was provided the best waxing experience. Vanessa helped me book a last minute appointment and was super helpful and informative. My esthetician Ashley went above and beyond in making me feel comfortable! Her level of professionalism shows in the steps, care and knowledge she provides when she’s taking care of you. I’ve been going to Stephanie for all my waxes for a while now. I recommend going to her because she has helped me clear up my skin and makes the waxing process a more comfortable experience. Overall, everyone is super friendly and I also enjoy using their products such as the body polishing scrub.

The EWC in Riverdale is clean and organized with friendly and inviting staff. Stephanie is a true delight as she helps to provide education while making your wax experience as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend visiting soon!

If you're coming to this location to get a wax, I would a million percent recommend booking your service with Ashley. I have been getting waxes at this location for years now. Overall, I have had good experiences with all the specialists and the receptionists who have seen me.
Unfortunately, there has been a change recently. As other reviews have stated, I have had to change specialists many times in the last year or so. I have seen 3 different people because the first two left unexpectedly, one of them after only having seen them once. As you can imagine, it is getting quite frustrating especially because not every specialist's technique works for me due to my hair texture, etc.and also with such a delicate service, once I find someone who I trust and connect with, I like to stick with them and support them.
I had almost completely given up on coming to this location altogether. I was planning on finding an alternative after using up my wax pass. HOWEVER, the experience that I had this past weekend has made me strongly reconsider. I saw Ashley for a Brazilian and she instantly made me feel comfortable and confident that she would do a great job. She was careful and quick, yet thorough. Kind and friendly while maintaining a high level of professionalism. She was everything one would look for in an aesthetician. Truly a pro at what she does, and you can tell she is genuinely passionate about providing an excellent service and helping clients feel confident. She presented me with many options for aftercare and recommended EWC products to me that no one had previously which I plan to purchase soon. She made it so that getting hair ripped out of my skin from the root was nearly a pleasant experience haha. Right after my wax I could literally feel the difference in my skin AND I felt no major sensitivity afterwards either which I have every other time someone has waxed me. I'm truly grateful to Ashley for the service she provided me with and I look forward to seeing her again. I really hope she sticks around otherwise I will be finding an alternative. This is my first time ever leaving a review for anything but the ones on here have helped me find a new specialist many times so I figured I'd pay it forward. Hope it is helpful!

I usually get my waxing done by Ana María who’s great. I wasn’t able to schedule an appointment with her and I was hesitant to have someone else do it but I had to schedule it this day. I got Ashley and I’m so glad I did! She used to be the friendly voice at the desk and she was such a joy as my esthetician! So sweet and caring. I hope European Wax center starts caring for their employees and paying them well because they can’t afford to lose people like her the way they’ve been losing others. Go to Ashley, she did her thing!

First everything was fine to the point that I even bought a wax depilation package because I am a person with a lot of hair on my body, until the girl who attended me left and treated another girl who gave me a burn in my armpits that I am still treating for the dark mark that the burn left me and what has me most disappointed is that I called to talk about what happened and that I had some remaining services that I wanted a refund for the burn caused that I never wanted to go back there again and they told me no it was possible to give me a refund so that when it was ready I would come back because the person who caused me the burn was not working there anyway, it's been 3 months since that and I still don't plan on going back because I have a very ugly mark on my armpits and it reminds me of what what happened disappointing terrible after paying so much money for a service package.

I’ve been coming to this center for about 3 years now and have always had Ana Maria taking care of me! She’s absolutely great and makes the whole experience completely pain free and totally relaxed. She offers great advice on products that will help my wax last longer and get the best result between waxes! The Centre is also so clean and socially distanced. I feel so safe coming here during this pandemic.

After trying many different waxers, Ilyana is the only person I trust enough to go back to time and time again! She’s neat, quick, efficient at her job:) I’ve never had any issues such an ingrown hairs since I’ve been going to her.

I can honestly say each visit gets better and better. No complaints, rarely a wait-time to be called in, and always efficient! Aside from Darlene’s wonderful services, this location is always welcoming and clean. They have a great mechanism with the way they handle the clients from checkin to check out. They practice social distancing and have sanitizers everywhere which is a plus! With that being said y’all ladies go pay a visit to Darlene, you won’t regret it! Promise!

European Wax Center at Riverdale is always a good visit. The waxers are friendly, professional, and know what they are doing. In the midst of the current health crisis, they are following the rules to the T in a friendly and professional manner. The front desk girls are really great as well. My personal waxer, Ileny, perfect! Since not going for a while, for obvious reasons, she was very gentle on my restart of services after months (from the tempature of the wax to pressure when removing). Michelle, the GSA at the front desk, hilarious and helpful. All the GSA's are pitch perfect - I would list them all but am forgetting their names. If this is your first time or 876th time, they'll treat you beyond well and are very informative. Overall, really good service!

This was my first time here for a free eyebrow wax. Michelle A.was very courteous and professional to us and resolved any issues we had with a great attitude. This is by far the most professional wax center I have been to and I plan on coming again. We were brought here by their free eyebrow wax for first timers and we left with additional discounts. Highly recommended

I have visited many European wax centers, this is by far my favorite location. The staff is very sweet and very nice. Darlene is my specialist, she is by far the best I have ever experienced. My first time waxing was at this location and I refuse to go anywhere else. Been to this location twice and I absolutely love it there. From the receptionists to the wax specialist, it is honestly the best place you can get waxed at. The receptionists, Michelle and Mishaella saw how nervous I was my first time and they calmed me down and assured me I was going to love it. I will never forget that experience and Im so grateful they saw my anxiety and were able to talk me down and make me laugh. Also, they were super genuine and friendly. My wax specialist, Ileany, is literally the best there is. She is super gentle and her energy is so calming and relaxing. Ileany is also super quick and will leave you baby smooth. Coming here is the best part of my month. Its the outstanding customer service for me.

I absolutely love getting waxed at the Johnson ave location. The front desk staff is always so friendly and super helpful. Their COVID procedures are very easy to follow and they take the safety of their clients and themselves very seriously. I have been getting waxed by specialist Darlene for about a year now and she is amazing. She is gentle and offers great conversation during the service, easing the process of getting waxed. I would definitely recommend this location and absolutely recommend Darlene as your specialist.

I’ve been a customer of this location since it opened about 5 years ago. I’ve never had an issue with the front desk or any of the waxing specialist. The suites, bathrooms, and front desk areas were always kept clean before covid-19 and still are now. I love visiting Darlene once a month here. She is the best! I’ve only ever thought about having once service done and since waxing with her I’ve defiantly tried out a few other areas and never had any issues. I’ve sent family/friends to see her and they also have no complaints! Love this location and Darlene!:)

They were quick, i don't remember who i got my Brazilian wax with but she was soooo rough and rushing.she doesn't care to make conversation but she pushes you to buy serum.he left me scabs and some hairs behind.i went to the European wax center on 86th st and they had WAY better attitudes.will be trying out the one on 57th st today hopefully they are better.

I’ve been coming to this location for over a year now. I book my services with Ileany, she’s very friendly and professional. This location has always been great, but with the pandemic they’ve made sure to take special precautions to ensure the safety of their customers and employees alike which I can appreciate as I also work in customer service. Although I’m only coming by once a month, Ileany always remembers our conversations and I genuinely appreciate her ability to connect with me on an individual level in the short time allotted. It’s not just a service she’s providing, she’s making it an experience and that’s what keeps me as a customer.

I purchased a wax pass a while ago and have never had an issue when checking out. Today I waited for 1 hour to check out as they were not able to find the wax pass. Everyone else after me were checked out while I was standing there for an hour. I stood there until the receptionist figured out with the assistant manager over the phone why the pass wasn’t showing up. No apologies, no complimentary service for the inconvenience.nothing was offered even though it was their error. Don’t buy the passes unless you want to stand there for over an hour! Horrible customer service.

An amazing center! The staffs are so kind and welcoming. The place is nothing but clean. The front desk staffs are lovely. Darlene, my specialist, is phenomenal. She makes me feel comfortable and is mindful. I recommend this location to everyone.

I usually never have a problem when trying to contact the Riverdale location to make an appointment but today, Tuesday, November 3rd, I was driving pass the location and wanted to check if they had any availability. I was parked right outside the location and called three times. THREE times. The first time I was put on hold immediately. I waited because I could see the receptionist had a customer. After waiting for 10-15 mins, the receptionist hung up. I called again and saw the receptionist click a button and ignore the call. I waited 3 mins and called again, and I watched the receptionist ignore the call I’m again. Very disappointed with the customer service.

I went here for waxing and was very happy with the results! The products they use are great for my skin because I have sensitive skin. The technician was good. She was very gentle and accommodating. I had no reaction to the wax and the results are long lasting!

I went in yesterday and had Jasmine. She was super rough and rushed it. When I got home I realized I had hairs left. Why? Because she rushed my service. $61 plus tip wasted on nothing. To get a half service done. I will not be back to this location.

I give this place 2 stars because their service was great and my tech was super nice, but the truth is I will never return to any EWC again. I’ve been waxing my legs myself for about 20 years and I’ve never experienced as many ingrowns as I did after going here. I don’t know if it’s the type of wax or the direction which they pull the strips, but whatever it is it’s not good. It’s super disappointing because I was really looking forward to making this my new regular spot.
