I teach at AHS and I had a pair of my student's glasses to repair that I couldn'tdo myself with a glasses kit. They were in a Vision works case, so I brought them to the Central Ave location near Staples and they fixed them free of charge. Note to Moms: you will get value from glasses that can be fixed as long possible! Thank you.

If you want the best mixed bag of poor customer service, ranging eye exams from good to incompetent doctors that only care to rush meetings. Low quality frames, obnoxious office space and unhelpful advice from the faculty then look no further THIS place is your store. They really butchered a once good and extremely professional name with the merge and ever since have been degrading in quality ever since- atleast in the few locations I've been hear and in East Greenbush.

Lori and Amanda were absolutely amazing and patient. My insurance was giving me a hard time and they worked tirelessly to get the situation resolved. They never got upset and really made me feel at ease. I would highly recommend them and this location. They have been a pleasure!

Vision works staff on Central Avenue. Finish in a timely fashion. Staff is very friendly optometrist was very informative and explained everything to my understanding

Amanda was amazing! I had a problem with my glasses and I was able to get a new pair. They are perfect now. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure I had the correct prescription! This place is the best.

GPS sent me to a bjs store couldn't even find a vision works. Nvm found it near the exit as I was trying to leave haha. They were all amazing ladies! Treated me so well and caring. The doctor even doubled checked my eye tests to make sure it was 100% spot on they went above and beyond.

Just don’t bother. The people that “work” there should be embarrassed. I have well over an hour wait for a scheduled appointment. When I attempted to ask for an update as to when I would be seen, because as you know people generally have to take time off work or not go to work to get an appointment, I was dismissed or ignored. With the embarrassing amount of apologies you’re issuing to customer reviews you’d think a change would be made. Obviously you’re only in business to make money and the service you “provide” is clearly at the bottom of your priority list. I’ll be frequenting my online optics retailer from now on.

STAY AWAY if you can. I repeat: do not come here. This place is CONSISTENTLY slow and the employees do not know how to prioritize their time. I feel like I’m always invisible there and have seen multiple people leave without being helped. If you’re there for a an eye exam expect to be there at least an hour. And if you need to pay for something or sit with the optometrist, you may be there longer. Everyone here needs to be trained again it seems. I’ve been dumb enough to believe that maybe it will be better each time I go there. Never is.

The new building is great, but the clerks need full training courses on all of their clerical procedures. I wasn't told what to do once the eye exam was complete, what was paid by my insurance or what I needed to pay. I thought my insurance covered everything else, so I left. I had to make another trip.

They never pick up the phones! The wait is long even with an appointment and the front desk person doesn't always know what they are doing. The staff are generally nice but everything has to be done in person and if you have an appointment clear your schedule for a few hours.

A nice new office with pleasant employees. The diagnostic tests were in person. The refraction test was done virtually with a remote technician controlling the phoropter. The consultation with the optimist was also remote.

Been wearing glasses for 20+ years - best experience ever! Eye-exam was quick & painless. Super-helpful & professional staff focused on my needs & helped me pick 3 awesome frames. Prices are good, quick-turn about time (< 1 week), large selection, convenient location & great staff. Very happy - highly recommend

The eye test was thorough but the checkout process was very long.

The person who "cashed" me out had little knowledge on the process. I had to explain multiple times on how my insurance works.

I Went for a appointment and during my exam they sent me out the room in the middle of my exam to rush someone else in to do there exam.in the middle of if the other person information was saved in my file on the computer and made my prescription worse then what I have! Then while waiting to give associate my glasses I picked out they had me wait 45 mins just to give them the glasses and the more I said something they made me wait longer I was the first person there and the last person to leave. 2 1/2 hours I was there also they are bad with customer service. And phone service is bad! While typing this review I have been on the phone waiting for someone to pick up the phone for 48mins now! I have been coming to this location for several years never experienced anything like this at all!

I chose this location cause they took my insurance and they had the earliest appointments I could find. Slight wait when I arrived but had skeleton crew due to Covid and they pushed me through as soon as they. Store was very busy and staff was working hard. I got my script and picked out my frames, saleswoman said itd be 2 weeks but 4 days later got a notification they were. I made an appointment to pick them up and after a slight mixup with names, i walked out with my new glasses. The doctor, sales staff, and everyone were attentive and made the process easy, felt bad they running around like chickens with no heads on but im very satisfied with the service i received. I have 2 other locations closer to my home but these ladies were most accomodating. Theyre not amswering phones cause of minimal staff and make an appointment online was super easy. Glasses are great and no problems to report.

I don’t know if it’s just the Albany location or all visionworks, but their customer service is terrible. Every time I try to call it’s impossible to get through over the phone, and the options presented essentially try to prevent you from talking to a live person. One time I called and waited half an hour before giving up and waiting for a day when I had more patience. If they didn’t already have my prescription hostage (can’t access mine online), I would never do business with them again.

I don't understand these negative reviews. I went there for an eye appt a couple of days ago and I had NOTHING but good experiences. I was helped promptly, the employees were incredibly kind and helpful, and I was able to get an awesome pair of new glasses! Thank you!

Call me and cancel my appt. I have to put a paper on your window to communicate? Hughes in Delmar is Davis insurance too all other poor reviewers. They answer their telephone and know the answers to your questions.

I've called multiple times and couldn't get through, I even made an appointment online but it doesn't send you a confirmation email like it states it should. I'd this how y'all do business? If so, y'all need to shut down.

This location is horrible. I have waited on hold for 1 hour 45 minutes for assistance and never received any. I contact the customer service number and they sent an email for them to call me and I never received a call back. The one African American lady that works at the desk with an accent is slow and doesn't know how to do her job. When you go there they let the phone ring and never pick it up.

Incredibly disappointing. Got eye exam and had new glasses sent to out of town location because I was moving there soon.

Get glasses, the prescription is off. The other visionworks I go to called this store to confirm a work order; they cannot reach the store (this store doesn't pick up calls from their OWN COMPANY).

I attempt to call, cannot get through. Transferred after 30 minutes on hold to central office who escalates to managerial level. I still hear no news 1 week later. Eventually the store close to me gets ahold of this store, they say they will fax the order.then don't.

Stay away from this store. Poor communication and terrible structure/service. If anything needs to be changed/adjusted, you're on your own. It's possible it's just visionworks as a whole, but I've found the new location to be very accommodating.

Literally the worst business ever. They don’t answer the phones, EVER. Then when you do show up since no one answered, they tell you you should have made an appointment. Never again will we patronize this business.

Extremely rude from the secretary to the doctor themselves! Also extremely pricy. Do not go to this location unless you want a horrible experience and want to be ripped off! STAY AWAY!
