This is absolutely a MUST for a trip to NYC! It's definitely an iconic site and well worth paying for both decks. We did not take a specialty tour, just walked around ourselves to observe it's majesty, architecture, views and learn the history behind it. The only problem I had was trying to buy tickets on line. Don't. I kept getting error messages and then my card was charged and credited. I found out at ESB that it was better just to get tickets at a kiosk which is what we did with absolutely no wait time or difficulty.

Was superb didn't know what to expect. You had everything in the history of the building and how it was constructed through a timeline of how the building changed through the decades. I'm scared of heights and got to the 89th floor. I didn't get 5 close to the window or outside but loved the experience non the less.

The view from the Empire State Building over the whole of New York is of course spectacular.

Incredible experience of seeing NY from above, at night it is more amazing to see everything illuminated

Everything went very quickly at the entrance, even inside the building. First you go through the museum, then you go to the 80th floor, from there to the 86th. If you have the 102nd ticket, you of course continue again. Everyone is raving about the new skyscrapers, I've been on all of them, but the ESB was the beginning of them all and for me personally it's the most beautiful building.

What can you say, gigantic, mega, simply wow. The pictures say it all. A must for every visitor to New York.

A myth. Despite the years and fierce competition (the Edge, WTC etc.) it still has its charm. Then it is also the only one that has descriptions in Italian as well as English.

As always is amazing everytime visiting the Big City. But it was my first time visiting 102nd floor with My mother. Not to crowded and not lines I was just perfect. And the lady working on the floor or elevator was nice and welcoming

A must see for all visitors. Quickest, quietest elevators I’ve ever been in. Views of New York are priceless. So much history.

My husband and I have been here before, but this was our first time at night! We had our grandson with us, and it was his very first time. We all loved it!
I definitely recommend going up at night. The city is gorgeous!

I haven’t done that visit for several years and I was surprised to see how much it has improved! Before even getting to the elevators, you have now to go through a very nice, exciting and entertaining display about the building history, its construction.kids loved that as much as being outside on the top floor

Decision to visit ESB was taken spontaneously during breakfast and an hour later, at 9: 30, we were already in. It was a Friday morning in late October. We made a reservation via New York Pass which let us entrance to the observation deck on the 86.floor (there is also the 102.floor which costs extra) and an interactive exhibition on the history of the building. You can take a picture with King Kong and some construction workers taking a break from building the ESB:) the number of people inside and on the deck was just right, there was only a short line to take a picture with fall decorations. Fun facts: the ESB has its own zip code 10118 and couples can get married on the top of the building but only on Valentine’s Day:)

Pre-booking needed to minimize wait time for the observatory. 102nd floor offers a unique 360 experience but they charge >$40 for access. Would pick edge @ hudson observatory over this though!

Would be 5 starts except some of the staff was not very friendly. Views were great of course, and since we got the tickets through the City Pass, we were able to go back at night, which was AMAZING!

Beautiful and a must see. Didn't go all the way to the top, but the views were still remarkable.

This building was really nice and insightful. It has changed tremendously from the last time I was there over 30 years ago. It is worth the price.

Nice experience. Got the king Kong saving me picture.
When you first arrive in the building you are asked to stand on green background and take a picture.
Give it your best pose you would love the background but it's pricey. I had no idea what the picture was for and looked bleh and I wasn't going back for another.
You don't get to use the binoculars because of Covid-19 but it's still a nice.
If you are visiting at night come with a Jacket or sweater, gets chilly up there. Have fun!

First entering the choridor to the iconic art deco elevators and their impressive design, brings one back to a time, when style was placed into every block of mortar supported by steel was the form. Our ride to the top gave the feeling of the height for its reach. We made our way out onto the observation deck and took in the view worth the waiting for and enjoyed the new peace we felt for the skyline we all wanted to see. It was our first time there. My name is Roger Browning and am a writer and a rancher from north Texas. This is not just a building but a monument to what Americans can do and be. My name is Roger Browning and my book is 'The Reckoning of Rance. '
