Had a great experience here. Most importantly the wax was very legit. Used good quality products & she has the magic touch—it really didn’t hurt bad. Also FAST! Staff was super friendly & accommodating (I asked last minute appointment near closing time, but they were happy to take me. Made me feel comfortable on the table & provided positive & distracting conversation during the wax.) Please do patronize this small business!

Reviews said "Most painless wax" and I had to test it out for myself. YEP they were right. Christina is the owner and is very invested in her business (best ingredients, products, cleanliness). This really was the most painless wax I've experienced. There was very little pain only 2-3 times but everything else was smooth sailing. I'll be back VERY soon!

It was easy to find the spot. The girls in the front desk are very knowledgeable and polite. The soprano ice platinum laser hair removal doesn't hurt at all - it has an ice cold feature that makes the treatment painless. Cristina was great!

I normally don’t post reviews but I’m genuinely compelled in this case. I’ve walked past this place a ton and have always contemplated going there for a wax. After reading other reviews about how painless their Brazilian waxes were, I booked an appointment with Christina (although I remained skeptical… how could it be pain free?)
I went last night and OMG… this was the least painful Brazilian I have EVER had! I was shocked to my core when the areas that normally hurt the most felt like nothing. I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised.
It wasn’t 100% without some level of pain, but the “painful” bits were few and far in between and so so manageable.
The tea tree oil they apply afterwards is also heavenly:)

I’ve been coming to this wax center for about a year now.i would consider myself a loyal customer and also that I tip pretty high. I never had a problem but today they truly disappointed me. My appointment was at 5: 45pm and I got there a bit early with my son of 8 years old. The receptionist saw I got there early and said well there’s two people ahead of you that haven’t showed up and I said okay thats fine. I waited a bit and saw the two people coming so, I said I’ ll be back the receptionist stated make sure you are back by 5: 45pm. I come back at 5: 45pm and the first person was still not done and the second person was still waiting outside. I continue to sit outside with my son when another lady showed up and went in no problem, the receptionist told her come back in 10min okay. So I am still waiting and 15 min pass the second person is inside already. The lady after me comes back and Im here 6: 20 still waiting with my son. The receptionist comes out and says well one more person is going to go before you so it was two and now is three. I found this very disturbing on how she lied to my face. Yet I was waiting over and hour and had an appointment plus was with my son who was getting restless. I don’t understand how people book appointments, Is the dumbest thing I’ve seen people booking appointments knowing that 1 appointment apparently does not take 10-15 min. I liked Christina as a waxer but this was a sign to go elsewhere where I am respected as a client. I was not offer an apology or a discount so my thing was she asked me to be rescheduled and I said no I will be going elsewhere so its time for me to move on and explore other great wax businesses in Astoria. Unfortunately they lost me as a client!

I left an appointment at 2.30pm and Christina told me she needed another 10 min to finish with the previous client but i ended up waiting for 40 min and she hadn’t finished yet when I left! She at least could have called and cancelled my appointment or at least just let me know to go later!

Christina was excellent! She did my wax and it was truly painless. I thought this was less painful then regular waxing and sugaring. The quality of their wax is different then traditional spots and the tea tree smells and feels so nice. The woman at the front desk is also really nice and it’s clean and inviting. I would highly recommend coming here!

Went for a 1st time wax and it was perfect! Results were GREAT and super long lasting! The staff are wonderful- i recommend to all my friends who are scared of wax because this is the most comfortable and least painful wax i’ve ever had.thank you ladies!

Rocio was so amazing! She is very gentle, very kind and easy to talk to. I love her technique & Rocio makes you feel so at ease! Weather it’s your first time or you aren’t used to the pain no matter the times, you’ll be taken care of!

Rocio was amazing! I don’t know how but her strategy made it the least painful Brazilian I’ve ever received! She is super sweet and professional, highly recommend!

This place has never let me down! I had my waxing done by Rocio for the first time and she made it as painless as possible. She made me feel at ease and kept me engaged with pleasant conversation. Total sweetheart. Already booked my next appointment with her.

This is my second time visiting this location. Anais does a very good job. My Brazilian wax are painless, clean, and I never get ingrown hairs. I believe it’s because she takes her time with me. I love the tea tree smell in there too.

Christina is the best, after going to her once I haven’t been anywhere else. Not sure what technique she uses but I promise it is extremely less painful than other places I have been to. Also! The Brazilian coffee scrub is a must get

Absolutely love this place! I saw Rocio for my wax and it was the best experience I had with hardly any pain at all! It was my first time seeing her and she was so sweet we spoke about Netflix shows and just had a great time chatting together! Felt super comfortable and Would definitely come back and see Rocio again!:)

Worst wax EVER! It was my first time here & my LAST! First off they didn’t even tell me the person I booked the wax with wasn’t there & someone else would be filling in. I didn’t know what the person I booked looked like since it was my first time here, I just assumed it was her. I only knew it wasn’t because I overheard her and the receptionist talking saying how the original waxer wasn’t there. Literally nobody told me. The wax was way too hot & I told her over and over, she just kept saying the hotter the better it takes off the hair. She even blew on the wax? Like that was gonna help when it’s already on my lady parts? ! She wasn’t removing the wax completely with each rip so it was pulling hard on my skin, basically getting stuck so she had to pull again. Going over the same spot a million times. I was irritated and felt raw for weeks after. Just a horrible experience overall. I’m Pretty sure she was just doing it all wrong. 0/10 would not RECCOMEND!

I have been coming here for years. Christina is the best and always so personable. Super clean and the least painful of all my waxing experiences.

Elastic Wax Center provides an excellent service in a warm, comfortable and hygienic environment by highly skilled estheticians who know what they are doing. They take the pain and awkwardness out of this service. Cristina knows a great deal about how to maintain healthy skin and is a useful and knowledgeable resource. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I have gone to their location on 29th Street and 29th Avenue and will definitely return.

I moved to NJ so unfortunately this location is too far from me but Christina is amazing and I highly recommend her. Such a shame I live too far now.
