Highlight of my trip the hamptons.incredible view, great seafood.bit pricey but hey i didnt pay lol

It's a great place by the water. It's clean. The view is excellent and it's calm enough to have a conversation during your meal. They do have an unusual pay method that requires you to pay first and then they serve you. The food portions are generous (they're advertised for 2-3ppl). I only give 3 stars due to the overly expensive charges. Tap water is $2 per person! And 3 entrees +2 soups and tip came up to about $300, Ludicrous.

If you can afford it, it’s amazing. Lobster salad is out of this world, and all the seafood is fresh. Love everything. Good wine, great views and beautiful

Not the Lobster Deck I knew and loved. Wondering what happened to my other lobster claw, somehow it was removed and replaced with a smaller claw? No bib, no buckets for shells, somehow I get the impression this is not truly a place to enjoy lobster?

Gorgeous spot on the water, fresh seafood dishes, beautiful people and a little bit of a Hamptons scene. Yes, the food is overpriced, but so is every restaurant in the Hamptons - this is no exception. So know going in that you will be spending a good amount of money for your meal. Another important thing to keep in mind: They are not considered a “full service restaurant”, but a “fish market” sort of business - therefore you will have to go and order/pay for your food at the booth, and then they will bring the food to your table. Don’t expect fine dining service because that is NOT what they are about (even though the prices might make you think otherwise LOL). As long as you go in with these expectations, I guarantee you’ll have a great experience. Lastly, if you are a fan of lobster, their Lobster Cobb Salad is a MUST!

The most rude host & hostess with attitudes. Outdoor dining but they would not allow my service dog in. She’s 4 pounds and in a bag with her tag. Possibly illegal? I have dined there with her in years past. Felt like we were being profiled. This pup has been by my side in the finest 5 star restaurants throughout the world. If you like dogs stay clear and go to The Surf Lodge for the same gorgeous sunsets!

Food was great but pricing is over the top. We suspected that as they bring uncorked wine bottles to the table that they were filled with box wine. You are forced to give a tip although they don’t wait the table. You fill out a form with a pencil, take the form to a cashier and pay a tip before being served. A very strange take on a fine dining experience. Beautiful space

Everything was fresh and delicious. Seated quickly. Helpful staff. It was early in the day, but everyone seemed happy to be there. Fantastic seafood and even the bread was great. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed lunch there. This place has a strong Ibiza vibe. The food was great and perfect for sharing. The lobster roll was outstanding with a generous serving of lobster meat and I couldn’t stop eating the home made sweet potato chips that came with it. It is supposed to be a great spot for sunset but it is usually very packed at that time.

Rude staff and $97 salad with some lobster on top. After we ordered we were told we had to pay for our tab before the food can be served. Terrible experience

So disappointed! Look forward to eating here every trip to Montauk - this year, $2 charge per person for water, even though we all ordered drinks, charge for paying by credit card or cash. Lobster portions significantly smaller - especially when ordering $90 lobster Cobb salad. Had to order extra lobster. Dishes piled up as service was nonexistent - brought out one of our dinners with appetizers- had to really push to get staff to return with entree.
Bill was close to $400
Duryeas please do better- you’re one of our most favorite restaurants.

Didn’t love it. Very cold waiter, hardly greeting you. Food came fast and we were seated pretty fast. We got a sunny spot no shade in the middle of summer day. You pay per tap water $2 pp…. And water wasn’t even cold a little. Not going there again

Nice setting on the water — literally! Our table was on the dock. Very casual but fun. You fill out a form with your order, take it up to the window to turn it in and pay. The cashier will call you “darling” and compliment your choices. Go ahead and tip 20% — the service is good.

The markup on wine is startling, but it’s nice wine. The fries are excellent, but only get the large fries if you’re eating little else — our party of 5 barely made a dent in them. The Cobb salad to share ($97!) served all 5 of us.could have been better; the lettuce had been washed but not dried, the cheese was a flavorless cheddar, and the bacon was microscopic bits. The lettuce wasn’t cut, so diners had to chopped it on their plates. There was a reasonable amount of lobster on it, though.

The clam bake with a lobster ($120) was excellent, though there were far more mussels (which are cheap) than clams. The shrimp and calamari in it were good, as was the chorizo. Lobster was good, but small. Get bread to dip in the sauce. (A bottomless bread basket would be nice, at these prices.) A bowl for empty shells would have been appreciated.

The lobster roll was good. Sweet potato chips that came with the rolls tasted somewhat burned, and the people eating the rolls would have preferred fries.

Had an incredible birthday lunch with my husband. Perfect view, incredible food & wine, and a beautiful vibe. It felt like a little slice of the Mediterranean in my own extended backyard here on Long Island. Loved everything about it! Thank you!

Definatley at pricier end of the spectrum but is worth it once factor in the quality, setting and broader experience. Clam bake was certainly a highlight.

Minus one for lack of cocktails and desserts.

A lot of hype! 1 hour wait overcrowded and they will not even allow a service animal in which is against a the law

Beautiful restaurant, good food! But all the plates are made to share! It comes with a lot of food.

A great place to relax and have good food. Its a little isolated but still not far from the center of town. Great views and fresh food.

Is it a great place to have dinner? Absolutely! You see the sunset, the ocean breeze (if it gets chilly, you could ask for a blanket) and the sound of waves while you dine. Great selection of wines and the staff are all (in our experience) friendly and competent. My family had a pleasant experience.

I honestly say that the food is expensive but for what you are getting, it was worth the money. And I wouls also like to say they have generous serving so its not like fine dinning where you have just the presentation but I would honestly say an order of steak would be good for 2 individuals, even 3. Even the kids meal has a generous amount of serving, and paired with their delicious fries would satisfy even a hungry adult.

But one of the main reason you go here s the ambience, they get really packed and wait time can go up to an hour but its not bad because you can just grab a wine and enjoy the place and view while you wait.

Traditional lobster roll, amazing sunsets, long dock to walk out on.
No reservations - show up, put your name on the list, get a drink and walk out on the dock.
When you get your seat, you write down your order, take it to the window and pay up front. Wait staff is great.
Normally busy, but they are very good at being able to serve everyone. Just be ready for a wait for a table.

Extremely rude staff. They also have a sign out front That says we love dogs but In fine print no dogs allowed it says. My wife asked can we order with you she said no you have to come to me inside to order. In a very cocky way. Like that’s the style? I mean if your going to pay those prices there should be some sort of level of professional service. It’s too bad because it’s a gorgeous location. I haven’t here before but it just seems completely different service wise now. I normally wouldn’t leave a negative review ever but this place called for it. There was no avoiding it.

Don't Waste your Money

This place could have been a gem because it has a spectacular location. The only problem is the food is way overpriced and not classy at all. When you are seated, a paper menu is given to you. You must check off your selections and bring it to the cashier like you are at a cafeteria. We were seated not far from this register. We had to listen to an employee shout out each item that was ordered to the kitchen. A waitress appeared and asked if we needed anything. I asked for another drink. "Oh no, I can't get that you have to fill out another checklist and bring it back to the cashier". Oh and they actually charge you $4.00 for water. Don't go here. You will feel completely ripped off and very annoyed that your money was wasted here!

Terrible customer service. When rain approached before our main course arrived, we were given a doggy bag and told tough luck. Food is not worth the $$$$.

Stylish, yet easy going place with sitting area on the dock surrounded by the water, fresh seafood, clam chowder was amazing, lobster roll and tuna sandwich were delicious.

Great atmosphere and view. 5 stars there, however, there are several notable cons. Number 1 is the price. I am from the SF Bay Area, where I am used to expensive gourmet seafood, however the prices at Duryea’s blows that out of the water. $100 for a salad is beyond ridiculous, especially for the minuscule amount of lobster provided. Try Harvest instead.
