Came to NYC with my daughter for the weekend from Atlanta to find a mother of the bride dress. After spending two days looking for a dress with no luck we found Dress Me up New York. Danny and his assistant were very helpful and I found my perfect dress! I highly recommend going to this store. They have a great selection and I can be assured no one will show up in the same dress as me.

HIGHLY recommend! Seriously the most stress-free and rewarding dress shopping experience - definitely will be coming here for all future formal wear! I came in looking for a gown for a black tie wedding and was a bit nervous as I had been feeling a bit insecure about my recent weight gain. Thought a full skirt dress would be the most flattering but Danny evaluated my figure &, within a few minutes, pulled 5 dresses he thought would fit my build & complexion. I normally wouldn’t go for these style of dresses because I didn’t think I could pull them off but I trusted his vision & boy am I glad I did! He has years of experience and it definitely shows. Not only did they all look amazing, but they also made me feel beautiful and excited to dress up again.

It only took me trying on 2 dresses to find the one & it was certainly a showstopper. Thank you Danny & team! You killed it!

This store has nice dresses but the hospitality is ugly. I walked in the store and I was greeted with attitude but i let it slide. Then when we asked about a certain dress the store employee got annoyed and had a argument about his money status such as rent. Like that is not my concern and he was rushing my friend and i when we just wanted to try the dresses on, also when we spoke to him he didn’t even let us speak, he cut us off and walked away.i cannot shop in peace with that attitude and it’s annoying. His hospitality was upsetting and I will never go there again.most of the dresses at the store are for older people and they aren’t plus size friendly.the owner is rude.

DressMeUpNY and its proprietor Daniel are dishonest and not trustworthy. I ordered and paid for $50 of extra material and not only was it not delivered in the promised time which was 2 months -it has been over 9 months and is no longer needed-, but Daniel will not respond to my numerous emails or phone calls asking for my refund. Never dealing with such an dishonest person again.

Dress arrived and looks stunning for a glamourous formal event and store owner was very helpful. Great quality and prices. There were some tech glitches with ordering correct dress color but that was not the managers fault and seemed to be an issue with the dress manufacturer. Manager at Dress me up was great in resolving those issues. I would shop here again.

Bought a $1100 dress, paid 2day fed ex, got the dress poorly packaged 11 days later! Dress is confirmed defective by two professional seamstresses. I called them the day I got it. Was told they would email me a return label, never recd one. Tried calling several times, sent email with photos and never get a response! Worse company EVER and if I could give them a negative rating here I would. Now I am stuck with a dress and out $1100! Planning on personally returning or just calling my lawyer.

Went in today looking for a prom dress. Immediately saw a sparkly metallic blue dress that caught my eye and it ended up fitting perfectly. Danny was very helpful and kind during the process. Would highly recommend this store to anyone in need of a dress for a special occasion. Excited to wear my new beautiful dress to prom.

I bought a beautiful gown from here back in February, the pricing was reasonable and the fit was perfect! I’m leaving a late review as I unfortunately didn’t get to wear it, since I didn’t make it to the wedding (life) However, I still want to express my gratitude for this piece, it sits beautifully in my closet. Went today for a prom dress for my daughter, we were so happy with her dress the fit was perfect and dress was beautiful price was great as well, the young lady helping us was so great and patient with us, everything went smooth, the owner was great as well both very attentive I am so pleased

The owner was wonderful. My daughter just had to tell him what she wanted in her prom dress and he knew her size and picked several dresses that fit her criteria. They were all beautiful and fit her perfectly. After visiting numerous stores she was happy with all of the dresses here. We will definitely come here again for other events.

I was really nervous about ordering on line. Danny called the next day after our order was placed to make sure we would have it on time and was so helpful. The dress arrived a week earlier than expected and was exactly what my daughter wanted.

Excellent customer service! I needed my dress to arrive within a business day. The website had a lot of options for shipping so I was bit confused, so I called the store. Sohiel was very helpful and my dress arrived on time! The dress was exactly how it appears on the site, and they had multiple options for sizes. Would definitely order from them again if I need another evening gown!

My sister and I decided to go to this boutique because we needed some Coachella dress for tomorrow's event. Luckily, we were able to find these dresses immediately, and we're glad because we acquired it at a very affordable price. I love this dress! It’s hard to find formal wear as a plus size woman. Not only was the dress perfect but the customer service was impeccable! I was able to purchase a last minute dress for my wedding reception! Please go to them for all your formal wear needs!

Danny was so helpful and knows so much about the industry. I was in need of a certain dress for a wedding in FL, all of the bridesmaid were getting theirs from the same place and i decided to try and find mine in the city.turns out it was QUICKER and CHEAPER than what they were charging in florida. 15/10 would recommend.

Did not have any of the dresses shown on the website and said all the dresses i was interested in were from their website were from prom collection 2 years ago. Small place with 2 sizes tops of each dress makes it difficult to get the dress you want on the size you need. Offered to order my dress in my size by paying it full price, not refundable, but whats the point if i couldnt try or see it before hand? Its like going to the store to have someone order it online, I can do that myself. I was not impressed. Dresses do not have prices on them, so i guess it depends on the customer and what you hint off that you are willing to pay? ! I left very disappointed, went across the street and found the perfect dress in my size in less than 5 minutes and for 45 dollares. I was willing to pay $200 at dress me up if they actually carried what they advertised. “A smart person” would not advertise dresses from 2 years ago that you can no longer even order. “Smart person” way to go on your customer service.

The man who helped us, Danny, was very kind and patient. He recommended many good dresses for the occasion and helped narrow down my gown search to two perfect dresses. The dresses are well made and unique. The shop has a wide variety but not overwhelming. I will be coming back the next time I need a cocktail dress or gown.
