Dollar General

I love Dollar General on main Street in Poughkeepsie. Tara and Gerald keep the store running. They try as hard as they can to make sure those products hit the shelves. I'm always greeted with a smile and I love my people there. So many great finds. Also it's one stop shopping and you can also get gifts as well.

Worst dollar general ever. They have the worst managers and employees I ever deal with. They never pick up the phone and they are lazy. They let people steal and employees see them and don’t stop them or call the managers or the police.

My 14 year old child was profiled in this store. You cannot be blue eyed pale skin working in a minority populated area and profile a brown child who.also happens to suffer.from sensory processing disorder. I have always found this store to be unorganized but also, in this case you must be able to adapt to ur community. The manager who profiled my child name is Eric. Absolutely unacceptable!

This store is very clean and organized. Forget the other dollar stores. DG is the best one around. 4 stars because you can always improve.

This place is a dump, they have all kinds of drug users in front of the store. The place smelled like death inside and it was very unkept

This store is a mess most times I go there. I gave it a 3 because the staff is always friendly and the prices are great

Easy access.walking distance for most inner city consumers. Community oriented.friendly staff also affordable quality merchandise.only concern I have Is the overall look and condition of the inner store appearance.disorganized and cluttered very easy for shoplifters to walk away with merchandise. Appears that there is significant shrinkage by damaged goods

Most dirty and disorganized DG i have ever been to. There are always big product carts in the way making shopping in certain areas next to impossible and with the current pandemic, knowing how dirty this store is does not make me feel safe to shop there.

An average discount store. Prices aren't bad & nice selection of products. Like that they sell more refrigerated & frozen groceries. Convenient store that sells almost everything you need

Absolutely awful. Boxes upon boxes piled in the aisles, some couldn't even walk down. Dangerous to customers & probably against fire regulations. Meanwhile, shelves are bare of merchandise. Didn't see one person sticking shelves.

The girl Annie in the store assistant manager helped open boxes with me for the Christmas items I greatly appreciated her help

I love going into DG, it's always a great experience! With great prices, great staff and great customers to "buddy up" with on line or in aisles it just makes shopping a pleasure! I would've given another star but a lot of things people were looking for were still in boxes. I totally understand, so that's really the only reason. Yet I give them a 1/2 star for the last one. Just " meh " as an overall experience.
Off street parking is nice, it's on main Street in Poughkeepsie.
Crowded for a Sunday afternoon I thought.
Register went quick since it wasn't getting rung in at all.
Like I said barely a " meh" for a review.
Would drive farther to route nine to grab a soda or planned better next time.
Probably a skip in the future.

Created Halloween decorations with additional items in another store would cost 7 times more. And customer and employers are very friendly. Register will open if they see more than 4 on line~
