The farmacy at 338 east 23rd street has the rudest people working there. Although I should not generalize that every employee there is bad, the bad apple, Sang Kim makes even the other people working there look bad. She is so rude, aggressive, mouthy, unkind, a real nasty person. I am transferring my script because I'm truly terrified of her having access to it.
If she can call someone names, like she has called me, not fearing repercussion, I don't know what else she might be capable of. I know the cameras don't capture sound, but I wish someone in corporate would take a look at her aggressive behavior. Even without a sound someone could see her body language. She throws things, people's medication, is ALWAYS in a sower mood, and doesn't seem to me that someone like this should be interacting with the public, especially PHARMACY customers. I have called a couple of times, as this, unfortunately, is not the first time I have had this type of aggression geared towards me from her, but I guess corporate is not interested in their customers feeling safe at their stores/ pharmacy. I see, based on some other reviews here, that I am not the only person who has had this treatment from her. I think I should not have to fear for my safety, both physical and with my medication. How many times do people need to complain about this person for a real red flag to be raised?

I was very disappointed with the service of this pharmacy. I came to collect my medication and they behaved in a very rude and disrespectful manner. Pharmacy is there to supply medicine that is critical to patients’ wellbeing, not to diminish their human dignity. CVS should make sure that its personnel provides the care people deserve.

I took my infant here for an emergency passport photo. Everyone was so kind and worked so well with my baby. If you need a passport photo for your kids, this is a great option!

CVS Workers are really helpful when I step into the store. Very attentive when I asked for anyhelp. Respectful staff members.

Awful experience.
The pharmacist kept telling me that my prescription would be ready the next day. So I came to this CVS four times in five days, and I still can’t get my prescription……

My doctor sent prescription over at 830am. I arrived at 930am and they tell me it just came in and give them 15min. While waiting I get a call from the pharmacist stating she doesn't have it and doesn't know when. I asked if there is another cvs that does. She said no and she can't transfer it. So i have to find a pharmacy that does on my own then call my doctor to send it the cvs. When did this become service at CVS. Horrible when you have a broken bone.

Don’t go to this cvs if you’re Asian because my girlfriend has been followed, harassed and falsely accused of stealing by the security guards that don’t deny that it’s because of her ethnicity. She’s been shopping at this location for at least 10 years and spends 30-50$ every time she goes and I was present both times and when we asked for a manager it was even worse because they don’t care what happens under their watch I’m truly disgusted with their behavior and don’t want anyone else to go through the humiliation and anger of this experience

BEWARE! DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION! I don’t usually write reviews but this is necessary. I came into this location on August 7th and was told by the manager, GINA SANTOS, that I should sign up for the care pass in order to receive $10 off that day. I came in wearing scrubs and a school lanyard so she pointed out that I am a student and would likely want to save money. I said yes I would like to, however is this care pass going to cost me extra? She said “No, I can show you now that I am not charging your card anything (and proceeded to show me her screen). You will only pay $8 for this item after the $10 discount. From now on you will receive $10 off on the 7th of every month and 20% off any other day. ” She FAILED to mention i would be charged MONTHLY for this pass. I said okay i will sign up, keep in mind I do not work and live fully on student loans so if she had mentioned i would be charged monthly I would never think twice and would not sign up to begin with! On September 7th i noticed i was charged $5 so I called the customer service to have it cancelled and my money refunded as I was not informed about this unauthorized charge. The rep stated she could not refund the amount, however, I have until October 7th to use the $10 benefit. I went in to try to use it and of course to no surprise they said they could not honor that discount even though i paid for that month. I tried calling the 1-800 number and they told me they could not refund me and to just sign up for the care pass again for a month free trial and use the $10 then cancel it (AS IF ILL TRUST THEM NOT TO CHARGE WITHOUT MY CONEST AGAIN) the loans I have are for groceries and rent, I am astonished that this general manager GINA SANTOS would take advantage of me and my financial situation. It is sad and EXTREMELY INCONSIDERATE to STEAL from a customer, especially since this is money that is LOAN money and used to PUT FOOD ON MY PLATE. Such an AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I will NEVER come to this CVS ever again. There is a location at 253 1st AVENUE. I will be going there from now on!

There's a lot of negative reviews that are likely posted by the same person. In reality this CVS is staffed by some of the nicest employees I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I've been coming to this store several times a week for many years. I go out of my way to come to this store. And that's because of the wonderful employees.

Terrible location rude obnoxious and racist staff security guards think they’re allowed to follow customers creepy close and I saw the falsely accuse an Asian female customer of stealing after she confronted them about being followed and when manager was called she was even worse I feel so bad for that woman for being humiliated in font of everyone in the store and didn’t even get an apology after showing them her bag was empty truly dispicable

Worst customer service at pharmacy, did not offer any help with finding another CVS that may have drugs in stock, rude and unprofessional behavior, 7-30-22 morning pharmacy woman should be ashamed of herself.

HORRIBLE! NEGATIVE STARS. DO NOT use this Pharmacy. The head Pharmacist Sang is Disgustingly RUDE, UNKIND & UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least! & that is truly an understatement!

I have Never experienced such a Nasty Human in customer service, her behavior was UNBELIEVABLE. So much so I question the safety of prescription in her hands.

She was Throwing things behind her station, Yelling at Customers, Giving me literally An Evil Stare Down. She was Visibly a Miserable Person, who does Not Enjoy her Job in general. She refused to give me the other half of my prescription in an unnecessarily rude attack. I had to go back for it.

Sang, should most certainly find another profession, it was crystal clear she can NOT handle the high traffic area she was put in. Sang had Absolutely ZERO customer service skills. It was almost as if she was Hissing behind the counter under her breath that she had to even work.

Sang should work in a suburb where she barely has to interact with other humans. I honestly don’t even trust my medicine is safe after her belligerent outburst.

I actually feel bad for the pharmacist assistant's that have to work around such negative energy with such Crude Miserable Human.

She should be FIRED & Replaced with someone who has some Common decency for clientele.

Their entire business model is charging you 3 or 4x as much as anywhere else, by having a monopoly on drug stores in the city. Shelf prices don't match with what you get charged either.
