Cleanliness and lack of responsibility to check dog owners for proper paperwork. I wonder when the Health Department will shut them down. Within 10 minutes, 3 dogs were paraded through the store. 11/4/2019 another dog incident. 3/1/2020 another dog. 5/8/2021 with two more dogs 4/4/23 another dog 5/7/23 another dog 6/3 another dog 6/10 another dog 7/10 two dogs in one visit 8/2 two dogs in one visit 8/30 one dog in the 2 minutes I was there 10/15 another dog. And 2 more while waiting. 12/23 there were 3 dogs in 7 minutes

The absolute worst pharmacy in the city. I have been going only because it’s the only one in the neighborhood. The lines to pick up scripts are always wrapped and weaved around the aisles. The staff is unprofessional and incompetent. Such a terrible experience every single time

Terrible service and should be Zero stars! I called to speak to the pharmacist on the provider line and never got anyone to answer the phone in 15 miutes of holding. I guess that I will have the patient select a new pharmacy.

Truly awful pharmacist. Came from ER to fill an RX phoned in by MD. Pharmacist said they did not have it in stock. Refused to check other CVS availability. Very sick, I stumbled across Broadway to Apthorp, which has the medication in stock. They said CVS had to transfer the RX. So I stumbled back across Bway, coughing my lungs out, then the CVS pharmacist refused to transfer the RX. Then he and a young male register worker started very loudly berating me, saying the RX (Sudafed) was a "CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. " As if I were a drug addict. In fact, I had a severe lung infection as a result of exposure to hazardous pollution, and needed the Sudafed (per the ER MD) to breathe. These two young men have no business working as medical professionals. They are rude, disrespectful, and treat sick patients with astounding violations of privacy and lack of any medical ethics whatsoever. Take your business elsewhere.

The pharmacy department at this location is incompetent at best. I get my prescription mail ordered to this location as it is close to my job. I'm never home for deliveries so this is the best option for me. Every time I go to pick it up, they can never find it. Today was no exception: I can only assume an inexperienced technician was told by the pharmacist to put mail order prescriptions away. They stored my prescription in their refrigerator (!) when it should be stored at room temperature. Because of their error, the medication is no longer good and I would need to wait until tomorrow as they need to mail it again.

There was 0 customer service shown to me. I told them that this is the store's error and they need to do their very best to rectify this situation. I am completely out of the medication and need it ASAP. The pharmacist states they are out of said medication and there is nothing that can be done. I used to work as a pharmacy technician for 4 years: I KNOW that they can call another pharmacy to see if they have it in stock and do their very best to satisfy the customer's needs. He decided to do neither until I told him this. I wasted my 1 hour lunch break dealing with this situation with no resolution.

Needless to say, after today, I will NEVER get my prescription mailed to this location and I will NEVER fill another prescription with them.

Store is good but the pharmacy and the pharmacist kim, are doing a horrible job. Instead of giving 250 mg pills she gave me 125 mg and she has bad attitude not speaking to the customers. Check your medicine twice before you walk away from the counter

Same experience as other customers with specific pharmaceutist here. I asked for a consult for an antidepressantant id just been prescribed. Never taken one before, and had questions about what to expect, interaction with other meds etc. In response to her colleague asking for a consult, she shouts across the pharmacy what's your question. Never looking up or leaving her station 6 feet away. There are customers around and a few other workers there. I shouted back to her I'd prefer to not shout out my questions about my antidepressant and my mental health. She looked genuinely confused and put off and mumbled, fine, in a minute. I felt so embarrassed at our across the pharmacy exchange, and already so vulnerable about starting this medication I couldn't imagine asking her anything. I just said never mind I'll look it up online and left. I wanted to just crawl under a rock. I've been coming here for year's because I'm local and my other scripts are in their system, so it's easy. But I would love to go someplace that felt more uh, professional. The other people in the pharmacy besides that pharmacist, class acts. On the ball. The guy who was trying to help me get the consult that day looked low key mortified and sympathetic. It's just that one pharmacist. She knows who she is.

Worst pharmacy ever. Asked to speak to the pharmacist to ask a question about my medication- and she refused. Refused. Kept telling me to replay my question, which is my PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION to the interns up front because she couldn’t walk 3 feet to have a 2 min conversation with me. So I left with medication I still have a question about. Not only is the dangerous, but it’s quite frankly disgusting and disturbing. Why are you a pharmacist if you hate humans, Hinge? 2nd time with major issues at this pharmacy. Calling corporate. From the looks of it there are multiple complaints about this particular pharmacist. Why is she allowed to continue to work there? You should all be fired. Period.

I was very impressed by the help I got from a simple question as to how to find something. I got incredible attention from two people. They were both extremely personable and attentive to my needs.

This is a terrible CVS in comparison to the others, seems very small and is lacking stock wise!

We only used it once and decided not to return, seems very overpriced in comparison to other local shops!

The store also looks pretty run down and in need of a bit of TLC.

Went here to stock up on cold and flu meds that are unavailable in Europe before flying home from NY. Wilson was very extreme helpful to me. Very nice staff.

THIS LOCATION IS GREAT. ALL OF THE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL COURTEOUS & PHENOMENAL. THEY ARE ALWAYS WORKING & WILLING TO GO BEYOND FOR THE CUSTOMERS, THEY GET THE JOB DONE. WITHOUT THEM IT WOULDN'T BE POSSIBLE FOR ALL OF US (CUSTOMERS) TO GET OUR MEDICINE. RECOGNIZE THIS PEOPLE. I SUGGEST ALL OF THEM GET A RAISE IMMEDIATELY.

I went there on a Saturday night (9pm exactly), and after picking up a few items, got to the register, and to my amusement the cashier told me to use the self check out, and that the registers were closed? ! This is a store that's open 24 hours, correct?
Then. As i comply, not happily, i proceeded to the self check out, only to have the machine break down on me, Thanks to the young girl at the door for being so helpful thought.

This CVS pharmacy is one of the best in Manhattan Honestly! They have the best pharmacy staff especially Heejin and Keana, they are always pleasant and caring towards customers:) and the store is always stocked with the items I need:) to be honest the ppl who wrote these past reviews are complaining sound very privileged and impolite, which is sadly common in the neighborhood. Truthfully YOU CANNOT FIND BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYWHERE ESLE! This pharmacy has superb exceptional customer service, they go above and beyond to help out patients:) i would recommend to everyone I know and keep up the great work guys!

Awful customer service from the pharmacy department. Male staff member displeased when I asked him to unlock a cabinet on the shop floor so I could buy it. The lady behind the pharmacy counter could not do anything (couldn’t advise, couldn’t take payment - what is the point of her being there) and rude female pharmacist couldn’t even be bothered to walk over, instead shouting so everyone could hear. Made you feel like you were an inconvenience throughout.

I have to say most of the people who come here are so privileged where even if you come in after they close, they expect to be serviced which isn’t the case. How about you actually come in during the time they are open because every pharmacy staff is so helpful and kind managed by the best staff. Before you come here to complain, you should think about how you treat the staff.

My experience with the pharmacy and its pharmacists is horrible, I am a patient with epilepsy and I had multiple seizures several times because I take substance controlled drug for my medical condition, so I always have only 30 days supply if I don’t get my pills before the end of the month I will end up intubated, this pharmacy made my life and condition as hell, I don’t use it anymore my neurologist made that drug to be delivered to me from the government to my house directly because my condition was declining because I had to go through multiple approvals every month and unnecessary calls and stress although I told the pharmacist I will die if you don’t give it to me one laughed and the other one didn’t seem to care, if you have a serious medical condition please stay away from this pharmacy’s branch

Rude female, and no help. The place advertises walk in no wait flu shots on the site, the windows, on the pre phone recording to be turned away at this location. Reminder of why I prefer a mom and pop style pharmacy.

Awful pharmacy customer service and total lack of organization. I’ve had to have my providers send in prescriptions multiple times because they don’t pick up their phones or check their voicemail. Then when you speak with the staff, if you ever get through, they’re extremely rude and make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them for asking them to simply do their job.

I love this cvs! The staff is amazing! But the pharmacist is the worst! In person and over the phone! The oriental pharmacist is very short tempered and quick with an attitude I don’t see how you can be helpful and nasty at the same time.

After scheduling a COVID booster, they turned me away saying my insurance doesn’t cover it. Not only is that false, but also you don’t need insurance for a COVID vaccine. Staff are not interested in helping you, and seemingly not interested in public safety. Tried to call CVS support twice and got passed around and disconnected. Would not recommend them for any of your pharmacy or vaccine needs.

Prescriptions for simple antibiotics are taking over 36 hours being to be filled. This is compromising treatment for a serious condition. I and surrounded by 8 people in a similar situation. I’ve never experienced anything like this.

Horrible pharmacy. Go to a different cvs location. Never answer their phones. Manager is so rude. Every time I go there is an issue. Other customers are also upset when I’m there. Never had an issue with CVS pharmacy except this location.

Ridiculously rude pharmacist - said her name is Heejin. Sold me a vaccine but refused to give a needle to dispense it with, claiming it's illegal to do so and verbally abusing me. Pointed out that it is legal, per city of NYC, then she claimed there was a "covid shortage of needles. " Went to another pharmacy that gave me the needle and alcohol pad for free. Returned to get spelling of her name to complain to CVS and she started throwing around F-bombs. Bizarre experience - won't return to this pharmacy. Terrible service.

The worst customer service in the CVS pharmacy department. They put you on hold for 15 minutes and then hang up on you. When I finally got a hold of them after many calls, they told me that they were going to be closing soon and could not help me. Find a different pharmacy.

Pharmacy staff is rude and difficult to work with, they consistently hang up the phone when you’re on hold. It is not easy to get your medication at this location.

Tried to use the automatic system for prescriptions. I am disabled and need my prescription delivered. I called a full week ago, no delivery yet. When I tried to call, at 3: 30 pm I was put on hold to speak with someone. No one picked up, thirty minutes, each time. I kept trying, even spoke with the store, but still no pharmacy to talk to. I have insurance, yet their recording said my prescription would be $910. Same thing happened last time when I filled a vitamin B prescription that they said was going to be $60.
The pharmacy is now closed for the day. I called last week when I had more than a week supply left.
Unfortunately, my insurance company requires that I use CVS. If I had a choice, I’d go somewhere else. They are the worst and have no real management at the pharmacy. Not the first time I have had problems there. When I was using Duane Reade before the change to Cvs, never had a problem.

The pharmacy phone system is constantly down. It drops calls, places you on hold indefinitely so that you have to give up, when transfered to voicemail it drops the call.

This is unacceptable as a healthcare provider.

Doesn't anyone think that if the phone isn't ringing that the system might be having a problem?

Complete incompetence.

Terrible customer service in the pharmacy. On hold for 30 plus minutes multiple times before they answer. Then major attitude. When i asked for my prescription to be don’t in an hour that it was an emergency.the technician just said NO. 6 pm! This was 9 am. No flexibility. When i asked to speak to a pharmacist she hung up on me!

I've been a convert to CVS at B'way and 77 for at least the past 2 years. Heejin and Darnell in the pharmacy.are super friendly and total pros! I've never had anything other than a positive experience at this location.

The pharmacists here are unbelievably rude and so inefficient. You wait for 40 minutes to talk to them on the phone, and then they are so curt when you finally get through. Run away! I am going to change pharmacies.

Darnell is quite simply, the tops. I’ve never had a bad experience here with the people that work there, so not sure what other people are talking about. Everyone is respectful and says hi and one kid working the register wished me a belated happy birthday after he had to check my license for cold medicine.

The customer service at the pharmacy is terrible. Every time I visit or call they make it clear I’m inconveniencing them & they’re eager to get me out of the way. Customer service is literally your job. Do it better.

I’ve switched to the Amsterdam location and they have already proven to be much better.

Just had an encounter with one of the rudest people, she’s a greeter and she made it clear she resented my asking her a question about where something was. She told me maybe they she didn’t know if they carried it, but if they did it would be in aisle 15. I looked but it wasn’t there so I asked her again. This time she said it was in a different aisle. I have mobility issues (arthritis) and and she loudly said “excuse me! “ as if to order me to step out of her way when there was 6 feet of open space for her to walk. Guess her highness needs customers to clear a path for her. When I could not do as she ordered she sarcastically said “Or not! ”

Why does CVS hire someone who clearly dislikes people to be in a customer service position? This has happened before in CVS and I have avoided the store, probably gone in once in the last six months. Now I’m out for good.
