I’m in love with the haircut i got here yesterday. It was my first time here and I honestly didn’t have a great idea of what cut would best suit my curls but the owner did such a good job and really took her time with everything. I will 100% be coming back for my next haircut

Excellent experience. Due to bad experiences I had not had my hair cut in over 2 years. The last time I did highlights they completely burned my hair and so I wound up coloring my roots myself. I had been searching for someone who specializes in curly hair and as grace would have it came across Shanina.
Shanina is a master of her craft and a perfectionist. She gave me a phenomenal cut, color and full head highlights and turned the orange mess of a mop on my head into a stylish beautiful, bouncy, golden brown and shiny and healthy head of hair.
After leaving I FaceTimed with my husband, who had no idea I was getting my hair done, and the first thing he said was “Wow! You look amazing I love your hair like that, what did you do? ”
I’m here visiting my family and live in France however, no one other than Shanina will be touching my hair ever again. I come back once or twice per year to visit and will wait to get my hair done then.

I hadn’t had my hair cut in over a year and I’m always very nervous since I have thick curly hair. Samina was absolutely wonderful and listened to my
Concerns and well and took care of my damaged ends. She colored my hair and there was no breakage. Her assistant was also very knowledgeable and took very good care of me as well. It looks healthier than ever and I’ve already recommended this place to my friends. The establishment was beautiful and I felt very comfortable the entire time as she also walked me though the process! I definitely recommend this place!

I've been wearing my hair natural (2C/3A) since May 2019 after 6 years of straightening it, and for the first time ever, I got a cut that I love. Samina made sure the cut would look good with bare minimum styling which is all I've wanted - I just put in the products I have and my hair looks great. Friends and family have noticed and have been complimenting me ever since I went to her. I'm so much more confident with my hair now. She has found herself a forever client!

Samina was great at cutting my curly hair! She knows how to cut and style curls well. She tells you everything she is going to do before she does it, simple things like “i am going to start cutting now” which I appreciated and hadn’t experienced before at other salons.

I recently went here for a haircut and loved the results and the A+ service. The owner is amazing! Gives every customer lots of attention, doesn’t rush and is really skilled! I loved my first experience so much I went back for color and partial highlights. Again I was % satisfied with the job she did. I’ll be going here regularly and exclusively going forward!

I am so happy I found this salon! I always feel self conscious when I have to get a haircut because I struggle with dryness and damage from past hair care mistakes. I felt so comfortable and nurtured as I explained my hair goals and was educated on how I could improve my hair journey even further. I had the best experience with Samina and Darlyn! The service was outstanding and my hair cut was the perfect curly cut! She managed to keep my length and still revive my curls! The brush styling, diffusing, and products tailored to curls was a pleasant surprise as well. I loved singing and laughing with these fun and lovely ladies as well!?

I’ve been searching for a place that can do highlights and cut curly hair! I have thick domincan curly hair and she was so knowledgeable, kind and talented! I will definitely be coming back! I never leave reviews but this was well deserved!

I have had the same hairstylist for many years but just couldn't keep going back to CT every 6 weeks after moving to LI. I hadn't had my haircut for 5 months because I was so nervous about trying a new stylist. After reading reviews online, I finally decided to give this place a try. The owner was extremely patient and took a lot of time with me, looking at pictures of me with both good and bad looks and talked to me about my home care, and daily routine. Then she took her time cutting and even went back to trim the bangs a little shorter at my request.

I booked another appointment with her in 6 weeks! I will probably ask for a few changes next time, but it is a process getting to know someone else's hair. I chose this place because of the 5 star review which is almost unheard of these days. Someone is ALWAYS unhappy! But after meeting her, I can understand why she's so well liked. Glad I finally found my NY stylist!

After getting into the habit of trimming and coloring my own hair during Covid, my curly hair and roots were in questionable shape. Mina did an amazing job- reshaped the curls and got rid of my grays!

She is very honest about what she can and can’t do, and took the time to really understand what my hair needed and what I was looking for with my haircut. I had the absolute best experience with Samina at Cut N Curls Salon! She was diligent, patient, and incredibly attentive to detail. She gave me advice about caring for my hair, the texture of my hair, products that are most compatible, and general upkeep. The entire process was seamless and ended the haircut off with a perfect blowout. Throughout the haircut, she frequently checked in with me to see if I was comfortable with the length or if I wanted more off. I have very curly hair and have always had a hard time finding someone that cuts curly hair well, but Samina did an excellent job. I will definitely be returning for future haircuts and I'm incredibly glad to have come across her salon. The salon is well kept, beautifully decorated, and clean. I highly recommend Samina for all hair types, especially curly hair! She's a very lovely person and you can really tell she values her customer's satisfaction above all else.

I can't recommend this salon and Mina enough. It was the 5-star reviews that brought me here in the first place, and I am adding another. My hair is difficult to work with: naturally curly and graying at the roots, with touch-up required every 4-5 weeks. Mina assessed my color and texture, made recommendations for that appointment, and for maintenance. My hair was overdue for a cut, and Mina was able to provide a necessary cut while I was there. I then scheduled a keratin service for the following week. So after a few services in a short time I can say that Mina is meticulous in her work, takes her time at every point of each process, and is an absolute pleasure to be with. Whether she was discussing goals & what products I use, sectioning hair, applying color, at the sink, blowing out and throughout every step of the keratin process, she was gentle (not a single careless burn with dryer or iron.that's never happened elsewhere!), not rushing, completely focused and totally skilled. I will be back for Mina to provide her expert care to my very needy locks!

Absolutely fantastic! I went to get a haircut to help bring back my curls while still keeping the length; this haircut did exactly that! I also got some face framing layers which really helped. Definitely recommend:)
