Costco Wholesale

Parking lot is tight. Feels very crowded. Costco does not take AMEX. Hours seem short compared to other wholesale stores.

Edit 2023:
IDK what's going on lately but this store isn't being ran the same way as it use to be. I don't know if it's the management or just the employees have lost their motivation but seriously needs to get with the program. I have been a member since 2010 and this new work ethic and experiences I have witnessed this past year or so make me question my membership and business with Costco in this area.

Place is usually always busy definitely for good reason. It is after all Costco

Pros
- Great deals usually with decent prices
- Gas is probably the best price for the quality of gas
-Union store: always a plus when you have a known union store. Honest days pay for a honest days work.
- Depending on who is on the job good customer service
- Good food at food court at Great prices

Cons
- Being it is usually packed I do think they could make a second deck for parking and update this store as it has been some years since renovation
- Also like I said as a pro there are definitely some that are unfit to be inside this establishment
- Food court line usually moves slower then average
- ALMOST ALWAYS moving or taken items. This creates probably the main reason I cant give 5 stars as much as I truly support this company. I feel like I am on super market sweep any time I am going here looking for items

Very comfortable place to enjoy with family to go shopping. The point is that this Costco store is very different from the rest. It is also very clean and organized of the rest ones.

I do instacart and like a decent human being i wait in the park in front of the store, but there are asian people who wait with their 10 phones RIGHT OUTSIDE of the store so they can get Costco wi-fi and all the batches, it makes it hard for people who are working fairly and i have never seen nobody telling them anything for that, meanwhile in other Costco instacart workers are not even allowed to wait in their car at the parking lot.

I'm so happy there's a Costco on Staten Island! I've been coming here since it opened. Great for party needs and group functions. A little too much when you have a small family. But there's always their $1.50 hot dog and drink for a deal!

I think Costco is one of the best run stores in the country always interesting great meat and bakery

Great produce, great prices. They have new products fit for the holidays. Inflation a little high but still great prices

But if you call the Costco corporate office to get help with something, the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing

Love the clothes as well as the foods. A nice variety of items. Some of their prices are very reasonable.

Not a big fan of Costco's anymore like I used to be I only go there now because my wife wants to go there from time to time. Prices too high especially the meat so I really don't find anything that I need any more at Costco. Even the chicken roll that I used to get at the food court doesn't taste the same

Tire department. Went to for balancing, being fist in morning been waiting 2 1/2 hour none called. When went to check how they doing, they said they tried to call me and left message, not true. Waste extra 1 1/2 hour. Very disappointed. To call them also would take a fortune.

I always enjoy going to Costco. The only problem I have is they do not accept American Express. So unless my friend goes shopping (she's a member), I cannot. You should at least except AmEx to become a member.

Horrible shelves empty workers have boxes in middle of aisle very congested lack of product. Bayonne so much better

Good place for grocery with good prices
and always crowded hopefully they open another one somewhere in Brooklyn

Not my #1 choice, but thankful that I am able to join this club. Selectios are few here, I find BJ's has more.

Wouldn't let me complete my purchase. We can vote with no ID. However a family member running an errand for their family is not allowed apparently.

Great location. Clean. This locations gets busy but the lines move fast. I have always been able to find parking whenever I come.

We were trying to refund a gift and the workers took me and told me that the recite is fake and that we could no return it, It was a unpleasant experience

Each Costco is different so it took awhile to find everything we needed (and then some). As always lines are super long no matter how many people are cashiering but it’s par for the course. Our cashier was super friendly and hilarious!

One of those days when you stop by just for eggs. Lol
The customer service was great. I stopped at the membership desk, the gentleman was very helpful and patient. At the register there were two members who quickly scanned all of my stuff and packed my shopping cart within a minute.

Never disappoint, go in without a cart, just for milk and walk out with a laptop saved $400. & the Spot Light Ring saved $40. But love Costco mostly because they helped the Urban Ferries with items the community is in need of. Shout out to Costco for their generosity

Absolutely terrible management. This costco ATM machine did not give me $200 bucks. Transaction went through it said “preparing your cash” then nothing came out. So, I came up to this manager and told him that the ATM did not give me $200 and what to do. This guy was like: “So? ! ” and looked at me blankly (crickets). Horrible customer care. They don’t give a.about you.

Costco is my go-to spot for legit any and everything! They have everything I like, plus so much more! I make sure I make my weekly trip no matter what I got going on. Everything is cheap, with so much quantity/quality. You’re not finding a better wholesale store anywhere!

I usually use the cashier serve yourself, the one who stands up to serve the people, unfortunately he treats people with disrespect and this is not the first time he has spoken to us and others so rudely, I like to serve myself in this cashier, due to the Corona conditions, I do not like anyone to touch my things. And they have an employee who is supposed to help people if they need something, but he doesn't help people, he speaks with impoliteness, I used to like the Staten Island branch, but this guy who doesn't respect people and treats them rudely, he made me hate going to Costco, Now I was making a purchase and he talked to me in a rude way, I don't know how a big store like Costco employs people who deal impolitely with people, I've always loved shopping at Costco Staten Island but yesterday I was genuinely annoyed after shopping at this location.the employees Those who stand at the cashier, serve yourself are a rude, I bought a vacuum cleaner and other things and I do not want to buy from the same bank card because I think the amount will be too large for one card. And the employee who is supposed to stand to help the people because they are using the cashier themselves, and spoke to me rudely, and rudely pointed with his hand, go go to the cashier who has an employee, to do the two operations for you. I was surprised why? Why do you speak rudely, Costco does not monitor the behaviour of its employees and makes them learn rudely with customers, I'm very upset and I was disappointed in a place that was my favourite to buy his things from after this rude way and was surprised by the indifference of a large place like Costco that does not monitor the behaviour of its employees and leaves them dealing in an impolite manner with customers

An employe who was unable to scan membership card from my phone by handheld scanner but easy scanned on stationary blamed me for dirty phone

Always well stocked but it's CONSTANTLY packed and gets obnoxious. Not their fault but still doesn't change the fact that it's not the best experience going there simply because it's almost always crowded.

Friendly staff on the floor and registers. This locations gets very crowded at times, and it is impossible to find parking, but I try to go there at odd hours, when there are fewer people.

Absolutely chaotic place. From the parking lot on into the store. People will run you over with their cars in the lot and their carts in the store. I'll stick to New Jersey.

My girlfriend visit Staten Island Costco for the first time today. The gentleman that goes by the name Matt definitely should be spoken to. Matt might not go out much or something. He must of not seen too many Asians in his life. He only asked my girlfriend to show her Costco card. You either card everyone or don’t card at all. With my girlfriend experience she did not see Matt card anyone after her. Didn’t know Costco can be low key racially profiling. Never had a problem in any other Costco.

Everyone is very helpful, some of the prices aren't as good of a value as it appears but for the most part I love Costco's!

The young lady Samantha was very rude to not just me but a few customers ahead of me she seems to be rolling her eyes sucking her teeth a few times as if she didn’t want to be there or to assist customers with their returns she was especially rude to one elderly lady that was in front of me.

Great location. I prefer this one over the one in Brooklyn, even though it is a bit of a drive for us. We get to shop peacefully and can find most things we need in stock.

The woman by the entrance was YELLING hav your cards out. The staff was cranky and not helpful at all. I asked this girl a question she took off her vest and said find a manager the self check out girl with odd name was a miserable non smiling grump big time booo Im going to Jersey they hav less rectums working for them

I needed to change my address and waited 20 min.and got too frustrated to wait after waiting on one line for the associate to tell me to wait at a different counter.they need more experienced help.

It’s Costco, so it’s great, but it’s intensely cramped and the aisles aren’t big enough to accommodate the crowd of people that flood this location. Still, prices and stock are good!

I always like shopping at Costco because of the variety of items and the good prices that one can find at the store and the return policy. I am a sucker for the above and they've got me as long as these terms continues, plus I love the self service payment stations, which makes things so much faster and efficient. They most definitely can improve by having a few more people to help customers along the aisles with Q&As.
