Thursday was my first time there, I went with a friend, it was very clean and people friendly, Johnny did my hair, I was very impressed with the outcome. I give this place an A+, I will be going back.

Tina is a great barber! My husband loves going there and I am always happy with the haircut he comes home with

Irina was amazing. Helped me immensely! Not only did she do a perfect haircut, exactly how I imagined and described, it also helped me to pick my new beard style and it is awesome!

Not my go-to barber shop, but I went because it was the closest to my doc and I didn't want to take the trip. Also saw the positive reviews and thought, why not? I asked for a high-skin fade with eye brow shape up and they did a really good job! The waiting time was short and the cut was maybe 30 mins. I recommend!

Although this shop says they can cut women hair, please note that it is false advertisement. I am very disheartened and wish that someone had given me the warning that I am about to provide. The lady that had worked with me had no regard for the guidelines I provided to her. I told her to trim 2 inches and she ended up cutting 5 INCHES. The cut is also amateur, not properly shaping my face and uneven. Do not come here if you’re a woman with long hair.

Zoya gave me the best haircut I have ever had in Brooklyn. Some places charge a lot and don’t deliver, but this place has reasonable prices and great staff.

Would have given this barber shop a better review 3 years ago… the last three times I’ve gotten My undercut shaved the barber lady made the line completely uneven and ended up shaving off two huge chunks of my long hair that I wasn’t asking her to cut… would say I would go back again but I’d rather just visit the store on montague for better service.

One of my all time best haircuts. Precise, consistent and complementary to my face and head. A must visit if you want an exceptional haircut.

Nice people but due to a language barrier, my hair was not cut in the way I asked it to be. We generally had a hard time communicating throughout. In the end, it was still a good haircut, just a bit shorter than intended.

Friendly guy but super distracted during my (simple) haircut, giving me about 10% of his attention and using the rest of it for a in-depth conversation with his coworker in Russian. Consequently the cut is messy as hell and uneven and stray hairs everywhere.

I came here two times and had Zoya both times. She gave me exactly what I was looking for and the service was great. I’ll be coming back!

Great barber shop! After moving to Brooklyn in 2015, I tried a number of other places, but once I found this place I realized I didn’t have to look anymore. The staff is very well-skilled, cordial, and professional.

Terrible. Went in for a very basic mid-fade cut with specific instructions on what I wanted…. & got the sides buzzed right off with a 1 guard. The sides looks completely lopsided & no blend at all whatsoever. I looked like a skinhead when I walked out. COMPLETELY dissatisfied & will never ever be going there again. Don’t do it!

Clinton Street Barber Shop is the best - we all enjoy each visit. Zoya does a great job cutting my hair and both my sons’ hair - though we’ve had our hair cut at some point by almost everyone who works there and we are always please.

I have been twice, and Tina did a great job both times! Good price, good location for me, and they have a few bottles of alcohol for customers if you want a little bonus with your cut.

I have been coming to Clinton Street for almost two years. It is a great service, product and quality price point. Ask for Isaac! Would highly recommend for quality barber in Brooklyn. I will be getting my hair cut here before my wedding too!

Place used to be good. Now it’s a dump. 2 days before Christmas I asked for a trim on my long hair. I walked out with a buzz cut. Looking like I’m off to the marine corps. Not only is a trim not a high and tight, it’s also patchy and uneven. It’s absolutely terrible and I am embarrassed. Thanks for ruining my holiday. I have never in my life left a review of anything, shows you how bad this really is. How on earth can you mess up a trim! She was probably drunk on the booze they had out on the table. I’d post a photo but I’m too embarrassed. Stay away at all costs!

This is actually hard for me to post, as I have been coming here for a while and have always had great haircuts from Clinton Street Barber shop. I went today for a haircut and there was a loud patron during the duration of my visit getting his hair cut without a mask on the entire time. This is completely against city guidelines and should not be tolerated. Further, workers of the shop were coming in and out without masks on. For the duration of COVID-19, do not go here if you do not want to be put at risk, and I suggest the owners of this establishment clean up their act or they are going to lose a lot of business.

Friend recommended, first cut since December 19. Nice staff and left with a great cut in less than 20 minutes!

Isaac is an artist, a master craftsman and a cool, funny guy. If he leaves Clinton St I will follow.

I have been coming here for the last couple of months. Initially recommended by a friend, I decided to try them out and I love it. I travel from bed-stuy just to get my hair cut from them. Friendly, kind and great service all round.

Isaac was great, my hair can be a little tricky as I have bald spots under my sideburns. He listened carefully and was sure to get my sideburn length perfect and blended it in with the sides really well. I’d recommend him to anyone.

Absolutely amazing barbershop. These barbers are masters of their craft. They know my hair better than I do. They’ll give you an A+ haircut and some brandy too. I only wish my hair grew faster so I could come here more often.

I’ve been going to Clinton Street Barbershop for eight years, they really gave the best haircuts, even when I left Brooklyn and moved uptown I would still go all the way back to Brooklyn to have my hair cut.
That being said, the last three haircuts I’ve gotten over the last three months have been awful, they were so bad I had to go to another barber to try to fix them but I kept going back thinking it was just a fluke.
I think this is happening because the owner has opened a new shop and doesn’t come around much anymore.

Recently visited for the first time. Walked in and they took me right away. My barber did a great job of working with my hair (which is wavy so it can be difficult). Great first experience!

I live nearby and decided to give this barber a go. Normally my girlfriend makes me go to salons so she was a bit skeptical of me going here at first. Fortunately, Isaac was brilliant and looked after me well. He takes great care when looking after me, and takes the time to make sure my hair cut looks perfect. I keep coming back for Isaac but I know everyone else here does a great job and they are always friendly. I highly recommend this place if you need a trim - hair or beard.

Great place. Isaac is an amazing barber. A lot better than where I was going before. And the warm towel at the end makes it six stars!

The price outside is misleading. It’s much more expensive. On the good side, the barber did a treat job and he got a good tip. However, this place is not honest and they should refund me the difference with the price outside.

Love this barber shop! Eddy is my barber for about a year. I searched all over brooklyn the past 10 years i dread the day i have to find another barber. Friendly and communicative staff.

This is my barber shop. I'm a local and although there's many places to get your hair cut in NYC, this is the only place I'll go. One of the co-owners, Serg, is the face of the shop and greets you with a smile like you're family. Even when he's not there the other barbers are great too. The barber shop is one of those places where men want to go to relax and this place delivers. I always get the cut I asked for, they finish the edges with lather and a straight razor, and then they give you a hot towel for your face. You'll be happy with the cost too. It's very fair, especially when compared to other shops in the area.

Today was there and I'm really upset, they cut my hairs really bad.without ask me if I would want change may cut or how I wanted.
They have only one preoccupation don't cut a lot then you can back in Less time.
Really cheap. I gave more then one chance, my friend go there and I started to go there, but the atmosphere is changed and the professionality is changed.

I'm sorry but have a friend in Italy with hair stylist salon that today smile a lot because told that my hairs looks like if they would be cut from the trainer.
Really upset.
I think that today was the last day there.

Best barber in the Downtown Brooklyn area by far. Always satisfied with the service. This place'll make you wish you could get your hair cut more often.

Partner went here for a haircut due to great reviews. The (old) man who cut his hair treated him very aggressively, hitting his head with a comb. Told me his head hurt the entire day. Today, I just noticed that the back of his head wasn't shaved well. It wasn't straight and one side was higher than the other.the haircut didn't really flatter him either. His previous haircut done at another place was way better. He won't be coming back.

Went here because of the good reviews, but my experience was just ok. While the guys were very friendly with their regulars in the shop, I was more or less ignored the entire time. Not a big deal for me, but could be for some people, so I thought I'd mention it. My main concern is that the barber apparently didn't understand what I wanted and cut it short where I wanted it longer and left it long where I wanted it short. When he tried to check with me on the length most of the way through the cut, I asked if he would thin it out more on the sides and (after translating through one of the other guys since he didn't speak English well) he assured me that he would thin it out later. He only sort of did. The front ended up looking okay but not quite what I wanted, and he didn't show me the back at all, so I didn't realize until later that the back was super long. I probably could have gone back and gotten it adjusted but honestly I was just over it at that point. So, all in all, not a bad cut, per se, but not great and not what I wanted.

While walking through Brooklyn Heights, I was drawn to Clinton Street Barber Shop. I was in dire need of a professional haircut and beard trim to improve my winter's shaggy look. I was greeted warmly by the shop's owner, Serge and escorted to Eddie's chair without wait. I was treated like I was a regular customer in a cool, hip place. Eddie crafted my shaggy hair into a well groomed professional, ready to wear a suit this weekend. I will certainly be back. Thank you Clinton Street Barber Shop!

First time I went, great haircut by Francesco, he was in Italy so went to a noter guy.yesterday. The barber asked how I wanted my hair, I said shorter so I could wear i spikey on top. Well though he used mosty a scissor, I got te shortest haircuts of my 63 years, could have done it myself with an electric trimmer. It is literally no longer than a half inch and back maybe a 1/4 inch! Well, one good thing, now I know what I would look like if BALD.

Got there right at 8: 03am and figured I'd be the only one there. To my surprise, there were 4 barbers there already and by the time I sat down, all were occupied. The place is popular and for good reason. They do great cuts!

Want your hair cut the right way, go here. Doesn't matter who cuts your hair, the whole staff is good. Get the hot towel after your cut.

First time here. Staff was friendly and fast-I was able to walk in and immediately be seated and get a haircut. Price is pretty reasonable too, and I'm reasonably happy with my haircut, though at times it felt like my hairdresser wasn't 100% on the same page as me. Overall, I'd recommend!

Hit or Miss barber shop. Great people who work here but the cuts are inconsistent. They're many devotees of this barbershop.
