Pancakes were good but not great 7/10, the other food I had was part of my breakfast too I think it’s called the French omelette it was not tasty all. I really expected better, overrated as hell. You can find much better places to spend your money and eat.
The pancakes are really to die for, the best I've eaten. Just like the chicken sandwich we had which was very good, as well as the milkshake. Even the hot chocolate was good and that in the US is far from won.
Booked a month in advance. We had to wait outside in the cold at least 10 minutes to be seated. It was a bit chaotic given the amount of people waiting. They need a better system. Once seated, it was cold in the restaurant because the people waiting outside kept holding the door open. Our party included an elderly person. We had to wait another 15 minutes before someone came to take our order. Once the waiter did come, he was fantastic. Still, food was just okay not worth the hype or the entire reservation to waiting to being served process.
Our visit to this restaurant was a major disappointment. Despite our patience during an hour and a half of waiting, well beyond the promised maximum wait time of one hour, the situation took an unacceptable turn. The staff member, who initially apologized for the delay, later exhibited unprofessional behavior. She seemed stressed and repeatedly walked away to avoid facing us.
As our patience reached its limit, a table for four became available, and we approached it. To our shock, the same staff member, accompanied by another colleague, told us it was not our table. When my mom, understandably frustrated, began to voice her concerns in front of the entire restaurant, the situation escalated. The staff member raised her voice, shouting, "GET OUT, I'm not going to give you a table! "
This incident was not only embarrassing but deeply unsettling. Such a lack of professionalism and respect for customers is inexcusable. Our visit left us with a bitter taste, overshadowing any potential positives in terms of the food or ambiance. I've never encountered such a disturbing display of poor customer service in a hospitality establishment. This incident seriously calls into question the hiring and training practices of this restaurant. I would strongly caution against dining here until significant improvements are made.
Famous pancake restaurant for tourists as well. It was very crowded but you don’t have to wait in the restaurant. They will tell you what time we should come back.
Blueberry pancakes were excellent! Our server was really nice. Rating lower on atmosphere based on tables are very close together so feels a little cramped when busy.
Finally got to try the wonderful Bluberry Pancakes from the Time Out Market New York location. They were everything I imagined they would be. I would definitely recommend a visit to the Brooklyn location for the food as well as the venue!
Excellent breakfast in NY. We ordered the “blueberry pancakes” and the “farmer’s plate”. Both very good. A special highlight is the “maple butter” that accompanies the pancakes, which is exceptional.
Very nice place and atmosphere. The food was amazing. I was there with a group of friends to have lunch. The place was full, we had to wait for around 40 minutes to get a table, but the wait was worth it. Highly recommended. If you are splitting the check the only take to credit cards per table so just be aware.
I wanted to have a classic pancake. This is the right place! Maple butter syrup was astonishing. Both pancakes with blueberry compote and banana walnut were brownish well-baked. Next time I will try other menus.
I just walked in and waited for twenty minutes. They have a convenient message-alert system.
Clinton Street Bakery is undeniably one of the premier brunch destinations in the city. Personally, I have been a loyal customer for quite some time now, and I can confidently say that I have never had a negative experience here. The quality of their offerings is consistently exceptional, with everything being served fresh. It's worth noting that the popularity of this place often results in a waiting time of at least 45 minutes. However, if you're lucky and dining alone, you might be able to secure a seat at the bar. Trust me, when you finally get your order, the pancakes are an absolute delight, practically melting in your mouth.
We went to Clinton St for brunch on a recommendation! On a weekday also they are busy so make your way down there a bit handy to avoid the peak brunch hour! Luckily we only had to wait 10 - 15 min to be seated!
We ordered the fried chicken waffle, green salad and sausages!
The flavour in the waffle was really good, would have liked some crunch on the fried chicken, overall the dish worked with the warm maple butter served on the side!
The green salad added a good freshness!
The flavour and texture of the sausages was hugely disappointing!
We tried their pancakes at a different location - time out market (Dumbo, Brooklyn) and hands down these were the best blueberry pancakes we’ve ever had! They are popular for their pancakes and they live up to that expectation! So fresh, soft melt in the mouth, perfect with the blueberry sauce and warm maple butter! Every bite sings in your mouth! Definitely recommend!
Overall a good place for brunch with an American diner vibe!
An okay experience. Got served water first but it had debris in it so i had to ask for bottled water. The pancakes and maple butter was amazing as expected but everything else was not that great. My friend who had been here before said the quality has gone down. Not sure if it was a bad day for them or the influx of people coming and going has wore them out
It's just not that good. It really isn't. The pancakes are so dry no amount of butter and syrup can help them. This is my second visit and it was as bad as the first. I'm home now and feel like a ton of lead is in my stomach. Maybe there is something that tastes good on the menu but it's certainly not pancakes.
Amazing brunch in SoHo! The atmosphere, the smells and the portions are exactly what your imagination expect for an iconic sunday morning. The poached eggs are sublime!
Really good breakfast food.the pancakes ere light and fluffy.the maple butter syrup that comes with taste like werthers or toffee candy.however it is quite loud inside the restaurant so it is hard to hear conversation.also expect around an hour wait if you arrive without a reservation.for another place with similarly good pancakes but no long wait i’d recommend penelopes.
There was about a 45 minute wait on a weekday for brunch. Put your name down and they will text you when your table is ready. This place is not too big, but the hostesses and servers seem to keep it moving efficiently. Food took another 45-60 minutes to come out. Everything was delicious and presented well. $12 Mimosas were tasty. Prices per plate are between $18-$25.
