I don't eat seafood but overall the food here is of good quality. The service can be a little off at times but overall this is a great place to dine.

Deliciousness! My fiancé went there for our 2 yr anniversary and it was outstanding. The drinks were in point. Yummy & strong! The food was scrumptious! Even though we got there when the kitchen was closing we they took our order. There was soooo much variety to choose from we kept it simple for that night… complements to the chef bc it was amazing…We will be back again!

Atmosphere was great, ambiance was great, service was great all the staff was wonderful but the food did not deliver.

I contacted Manny 2 days before on such short notice however he gave me the best prefix menu deal with a custom menus.
Yesterday we were celebrating my daughter’s 17th birthday! From the time we arrived the staff was so helpful and kind. The food, drinks and customer service was awesome. Thank you again to all the staff they did an outstanding job. Ohhh also it’s FREE PARKING

Food and drinks were really good and filling. Service and atmosphere were also great. Would definitely recommend to eat especially if you are in a group. The music is lively as well.

We waited for 3 hours to be served. The waitress had a nasty attitude and the lobsters were raw, we had to send it back and it took too long to bring it back. They had good music tho.

Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Dig through the reviews and you'll notice common complaints which most of us ignore unfortunately. Yes, prices have gone up everywhere but extra credit card fee that is normally the cost of doing business gets tacked on to your check and the attitude is literally "tough shats" pay cash if you don't like it.
The music is LOUD.loud loud. That's great if you're in the mood to hit a club atmosphere where you need to have shout out basically everything. If you're in a group like we were and are looking forward to enjoying a meal all the while having fun, normal volume level conversations, that's not happening here.

Food was good but service was terrible. Food took forever to come out and server was inattentive. The drinks are extremely watered down and overpriced. They also charge a 'non-cash fee' for using a card that's not disclosed up front and the tip is automatically included in the bill, this wouldn't be an issue if the service was actually good. Would not return because of the terrible service and lack of transparency.

Visited Casa del Mar for the 1st time on a Friday night alongside my fiancée. Full transparency. Based on the reviews I was quite skeptical but decided to make that decision for myself. I am glad I did! Upon entering the establishment, we received a warm welcome by the evenings hostess which was a pleasant start to our evening.

We were immediately seated and had a preference of seating within the hookah lounge, private dining area, near the bar, or the general dining area. Our server was very pleasant, attentive, and patient as it took us some time to decide from the copious dishes on the menu. I subsequently decided to order the Seafood Paella, with the option for a 1 person $45 or a 2 person dish at $65. My fiancée ordered the Rib eye steak with vegetables. The wait time was a little over 30 minutes, which was expected with the dishes we chose to order. During the wait time we did order drinks. I will agree with most of the reviews that the drinks could be better. Our meal however, we're delicious. The seafood paella was fresh and nicely presented. The best I've had so far! My fiancée steak was ample size and cooked to perfection. During our entire time at Casa del Mar, our servers checked in on us continously throughout the night, tidied our table, replenished our water, and asked if we if they could be of further service to us. Never once did we felt rushed. The staff were nothing but courteous and professional during our evening.

I would be remissed, if I didn't mention the aesthetics of this establishment which was pretty impressive and trendy for the Bronx (a hidden gem). It definitely added to the ambience of this establishment and eminated fine dining in the Bx. Which is a rare find. Additionally, there was a live dj, that kept the atmosphere lit but still classy.with the exception of the abnociously rowdy and distasteful crowd seated next to us who I assume aren't familiar with the act of demonstrating decorum in a fine dining establishment.

Overall, I am very pleased that I disregarded the reviews and took the time to visit Casa del Mar. It definitely was a great conclusion to a week of celebrating my birthday. Thank you for an exceptional evening. Consider us new patrons to Casa del Mar.

I went when it was extremely empty and the service still wasn’t the best. There were only two other parties dining and they couldn’t do something as simple as take the tomato out like I asked. The mini mofongos weren’t completely hot, whatever it was garnished with wasn’t hot. I asked for the burger to be medium well but it was tough like it hadn’t been completely thawed. Then they charged 15% tip but the amount wasn’t even 15% of our bill so it made it extremely confusing. The 3% charge on credit cards was ridiculous as well. I can’t speak for the night time atmosphere but it’s very unlikely that we’d dine here again during the day.

Me and my date came here and was disappointed and disrespected in a way. We ordered the chofan $55 for rice cheap frozen vegetables and shrimp with dry over cooked chicken in a load of soy sauce. We complained are dislike for are meal and we observed an taking phone calls and going to table to table he came to me and my date table he put his mask on. He ended up being the manager he didn’t want to discount ate meal he tried to take off $8.50 off a $92 meal that we didn’t eat instead gave a paella upgrade. It’s smelled fishy I left it in a parking garage I wouldn’t give that food to the homeless. The restaurant it self played good music that’s the 2 stars for

Casa Del Mar, a nice little gem in this part of The Bronx. I had searched high and low for a new Happy Hour spot for the girls and I to mingle in. The location is something to be desired. Please note to do your best to avoid rush hour traffic if you would like to dine here! Upon entering, we were flabbergasted by how pretty and on theme it was! Everything was a blue hue, to make it seem like we were underwater in clear blue seas. The waiter we had was very questionable and kind of rude. But! The food was good and so were the drinks. It was surprising there weren't more people in there! They also cater to private events, if you're interested in booking for parties or meetings! They also have an outdoor seating area as well. Unless they're super busy, I personally wouldn't recommend it, especially during rush hour due to car fumes. But, the music outside is super loud and inviting for party goers! I would go back again:)

My friend and I arrived around 9: 45pm and ordered right away. After about an hour when plates were cleared our server drops the check. He did not ask us if we would like anything else, did not tell us the kitchen was closing, did not offer us another drink just dropped the check. Our server also did not let us know about their non cash fee for using a card to pay. I found this weird because as a server you should let the guest know and make the aware of the fee. He also added his own gratuity on a 2 people check. I don’t think that was fair because the service received was very cold and unwelcoming.

While the food was good, the customer service was disappointing at best. I was charged a 3% non-cash processing fee. I took issues with the fact the server did not discuss this charge prior to taking payment. She pointed to a small mention on the receipt, which was useless at the time of making payment when I intended to pay using my credit card and could not change my method of payment additionally, I was charged for an item the server did not bring. She refused to refund the money for the item she did not bring out, and instead offered a dessert or another drink (which we did not want or need).

Attention black ppl, this establishment is not for us the service is horrible, the bartender was the waiter & waiter was the bartender who possessed a nasty mochizo attitude, when they realize Americans are their biggest consumer they might be in business till then they can keep their mediocre crowd.

The food is very good, I could say the outdoor ambience is amazing in the summer, music, Drinks and dancing fills the place with Good vibes

Not so good as before. Food was cold. It looks like they re-heated. I ordered mofongo and it was a mangu. My wife and I had a real bad experience today. I used to like this place but never again. Not coming back

I went for a friend's birthday party. I was hungry because I was not about to drink on an empty stomach and drive. Wasn't crazy thrilled about not being able to bring food upstairs. And the wait time was a little long for my food. HOWEVER, the food was REALLY good and affordable. A good spot for a night.

I have been a regular customer at Casa Del Mar, I have always gotten the Red Snapper (whole fish). Today, they sent me the wrong order via Ubereats, I drove all the way back to the restaurant to inform them that they send the wrong oder via Ubereats. Instead they ask that I return the food and complain to Ubereats when my receipt clearly states what my order was. There was no apology, no amends for the mistake made. Instead I drove back with the cold fish and a completely different order than what I originally wanted. The customer service was terrible, the manager was no help. I will not order again. They've lost a customer.

My server was excellent. However, the food was terrible. I ordered the Mac and cheese with panko shrimp. She brought me my food with no shrimp. Then, she brought it back to me with unbreaded shrimp, half cooked. It wasn't her fault she's not a cook, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Drinks and cocktails are nasty.

Vibe is nice decor is nice, the food.its a no for me. I ordered chicken waffles and got frozen eego waffles.didn't appreciate that.my 11 year old daughter could of made the food and I wouldn't have known the difference. Drinks? Eehhh could be stronger.for some place I was excited to eat at, I would have to say I'm disappointed in there brunch menu and hate that I'm wrong this review. BUT the music was good.

I love Franklin (Manager) he’s so hard working and he knows how to handle things. He came back to make sure we’re okay. He’s so sweet and patient. I will definitely recommend this place because of him. He’s the best.

The food was not good at all! I ordered the lobster it was over cooked, no flavor at all. Had to ask for butter, salt, lemon and pepper to give it some flavor. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Would not go back.
