Totally disappointed, the things are super small, expensive and not at all delicious, a strawberry cheesecake for 14 dollars, the price doesn't matter if it's delicious but there's nothing special about it and it's not even delicious, I think there are better ones. I don't recommend it at all.
Got two cookies. Chocolate chip and peanut butter. Chocolate chip was ok, not a lot of chips in it. Peanut butter was very dry and bland with no peanut butter taste.
Very few places. Very expensive for a disappointing result. The coffees were not good, too much water, no taste. Very expensive pastries and too chemically sweetened, no taste, bad textures too. Only positive thing, the salty food was good
It's definitely a very touristy place but the location just outside central station is convenient for a quick snack. We had a savory & a sweet each and they were all tasty!
A place to take a photo and live the experience of going to Carlos' pastry shop but nothing more, tasteless coffee, the bread's quality was very low and almost 10 dollars for a ham and egg croissant, for those prices there are much better places
Came in 2019 and it was delicious. This time around my vanilla cupcake was really dry. I was a huge fan of the show growing up. I still think the cakes are decorated beautifully, but the desserts weren't as good on my last visit.
This place is B. VALASTRO's bakery.from the show Cake Boss, really very good, the cannolis, oreo dessert, they are really very delicious, it's not just the show. It is worth going to the pastry shop.
The wife’s a fan of the show so imagine her delight at finding this place. My only thought and interest was in getting a coffee and a cannoli. Sadly very disappointing. Coffee in a paper cup, although to be fair, everywhere in New York serves coffee in a paper cup even when eating in. The staff were uninterested and pretty miserable. As for the cannoli - soft and stale. Of all the places you’d think could pull off a crunchy cannoli. Wouldn’t bother again.
I stopped here for morning tea. The service was extremely fast and were very hospitable. The eating area however was dirty, so made finding a clean spot to eat hard. There is also no bathroom here. Overall I enjoyed the flavours and food and it was a nice experience.
Being a fan of the show Cake Boss, I decided to visit this bakery fully aware that it might be a tourist trap. However, even with my expectations set low, I found myself quite disappointed. I ordered a chocolate tart, a fruit tart with vanilla custard, and a slice of tiramisu, only to be shocked by the hefty price tag of $35. Needless to say, I was taken aback. To add to my disappointment, the staff was unhelpful and seemed indifferent, there was no air conditioning or public restrooms, and seating was scarce. I couldn't help but regret paying such a high price for this experience. Despite my initial disappointment, I still held out hope that the desserts would surpass my expectations in terms of quality. Unfortunately, they fell short. The tarts lacked flavor and the tiramisu tasted like it was store-bought and overly saturated. While I still adore the show, I can confidently say that there are much better bakeries to visit in Manhattan.
Overrated. For that price you can find better everywhere, even in a very simple Mc Donald's the desserts are better. Worth trying for those who are passionate about sweets but it certainly doesn't deserve the popularity it has (unfortunately it disappointed me greatly)
Total disappointment. Little variety in cupcakes, the one I tried, the New York, dry, tasteless and the frosting was too sweet. The cannoli, to forget, I left half of it and they almost had to inject me with insulin. The place went through better times. Too much fame for so little. In Spain any pastry shop gives it a thousand thoughts.
The cannoli is not really good. Tasted not fresh. The coffee is horrible. The service forces you to pay tip eve though you get no service at all, by taking it to go, but okay, this is USA. But. The red velvet cake is really good. Really good. So I was inclined to give less stars, but the cake saved the day once again!
As a massive fan of Cake Boss, I was very excited about coming here from England and had planned our trip around it. I was very disappointed. The cakes were amazing, and I was able to try the fabulous cannoli, which was delicious. However, the shop lacked any atmosphere. There is not enough seating or a restroom. Staff appeared to be fed up and not want to be there. No friendly greeting or smile. They just kept their heads down and rang in the till. The prices were expensive, but if you spent over $40, you got a 'free' cake boss apron, which the staff didn't offer me. I had to go back and ask for it. Like I say, I couldn't complain about the customer service because there simply wasn't any, and the experience left me feeling I wish that we hadn't bothered.
