Beautiful park I'm here on a random trip through. Having some me time. Got some sun, a crazy thunder and lightning storm, a sunset and awaiting fireworks! Oh and of course some ice cream lol! Happy 4th of July 2023!
While the rink itself is nice, it was expensive to book a birthday party and they didn’t even have anyone there to host the party with you. I walked in, had no idea what to do, where to go. You should get more for the price. The kids did have fun but no thanks to them.
Best skating rink in Clifton Park! But it's cold on the rink.it's like the floor is a block of ice. Seriously, the staff and instructors have been great.
Great facility to watch or play. My biggest complaint is the funky locker room smell that penetrates the walls into common areas. Bleachers aren't too terribly bad being bleachers and all.
I don't know I was just in the same area but not at the arena. I have never been in the Capital Ice arena. I don't know anything about those 2 buildings. Is there any open skating in either buildings? I mean for the general public?
My young daughter participated in the Learn to Skate program after only having skated a few times and absolutely fell in love with ice skating. She now goes skating every weekend and is able to skate backwards, do spins and skate fast. We also had her birthday party here and all the kids (with different experience levels) had an absolute blast. Kids that had never skated were even able to participate without their parents help because of the skate trainers that were available to help them balance on the ice. Great place for skating year round, highly recommend!
Was a good place but the guy in the front desk charged my credit card twice ($75x2). I called them too many times to refund my money, I was told it will be taken care of. I sent them an email but nothing was done til now. Better to go there pay with cash than any of of your cards
Had to leave one star to leave a review. Went to get a drink out of the vending machine and the machine took my $3 and didn’t give a drink. Went to front desk to let them know of the problem. Guy, that also drives the Zamboni machine basically blew me off. Said he couldn’t give me my money back because they aren’t his machine and I couldn’t prove I put the money in it. I just spent $25 to skate why would I lie about $3. I understand his position but as a reputable business if you have machines in your building you have a responsibility to your customers that pay to skate to address the problem. Totally unprofessional way of handling the situation. Least he could’ve done was hang a sign so people stop loosing money.
Stick and puck is really fun. There is a good mix of skating and stick handling abilities. Advanced players can fine tune their skills while players that haven't played in a long time can shake off the rust. Everyone was friendly and team oriented. The staff was kind as well.
My daughter completed the learn to skate program here with Ms. Dana and everyone was so welcoming and understanding. My daughter had 2left feet, no balance and afraid of ice. The staff is so encouraging and they have helped her to not be afraid. My daughter now loves ice skating and wants to peruse this sport as her hobby. I am so thankful for this facility and all of the wonderful staff.
Free parking but not so ample for public skate sessions on weekends when there is a hockey game prior.needs improvement on their cue-should be a line formed for those needing skate rental and those just paying admission not needing to rent skates coz they own.staff friendly but the public skating monitors should be more attentive to the rowdy-the ones that skate like they are on pot and bang or bump into little kiddos tryna learn how to.
My 1st attempt at ice skating and my 1st time here consequently as well. What makes this experience 5 stars and not just a 4 or even 3 was the people. The workers here and the organization of their program at this facility was systematic and helpful. The workers here were more like teachers and instructors and confidants to aid anyone who wanted to get out there and enjoy some safe fun skating experience. I was brand new and eventhough I learned very quickly they had people there skating in the rink helping others and being among us making this a very welcoming experience and a blessing to see such warmth and kindness. That's what this world needs is people like we have working in this establishment caring helping others to have a good experience.
The crew is doing a great job on the ice. Right thickness, for a concrete floor. Surface fast and hard. On negative note, men's room in the new rink, was out of TP, and of paper towels.
We attended hockey tournament. Nice arena. The arena and the hockey sponsors are losing out huge revenue but not having food services. We have attended functions in many other places that serve breakfast sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, coffee, hot chocolate and more. People don't want to leave and lose parking spaces.
Went New Year’s Day and extremely crowded. Ice was in terrible condition even though the Zamboni just went over it. Two times around was enough for us. Don’t think we’ll be back.
