Camping World of Kingston

Recently purchased a 2016 jayco bungalow. The salesman Joseph was very informational had exactly what we were looking for. Financing was great as well. Very easy. Quick approval. We decided to have the trailer delivered to our site. Fortunately had a bit of a problem with the transporter not being able to complete delivery and thankfully camping world reimbursed us for some of the transport cost. Thank you camping world for doing the right thing. We will definitely be back for another camper soon

Update 11/22/2023
3 months! This is how long our RV was sitting in service at Camping World, we left it exactly on 8/22/2023, and it's only ready now for pickup. Just to mention, it's a new unit we bought there at 2022, and there was no significant damage, only small fixes that we want them to solve under warranty.
In the 12 month we've had this Keystone travel trailer, about 30% of the time it was sitting in service, in the time we had it going we suffered ongoing issues (not-working refrigerator for example).
The level of support from both Camping World and Keystone is the worst, by far, that I ever experienced as a consumer.
You can ignore their comment below, it's optics only, nothing good came out of it.
If you'd like to sell your RV with them (and you shouldn't) - avoid Jessica, she is very unpleasant to work with.

Don't don't don't do business with them. Just don't.
All the horror stories you read online about Camping World are true.
The sale process is nice, and this is the catch, once you get the RV it's all downhill - if you have any issues with the RV- good luck with that. Prepare to fight for any warranty claims, and save money for out-of-pocket expanses.
Repairs times are so long, sometimes in the months.
If you want to sell them back the unit, expect about 15% of your initial cost. (yes, 15%, 85% less of what you paid a year before).
The communication with them is hard, not responsive to email, the channels between them and the manufacture (Keystone in our case) is broken.
If you expect to get any service from other Camping World branches as you travel- forget about it as well.

Don't do any business with them. Do yourself a favor.

Scott was great in explaining the trailer. However, the final tour left much to be desired. We will research the manual ourselves

Travis D.made the process easy. We were in and out so quick. He had a lot or patience working with us when we had a million and one questions almost daily.

Kevin Grieger (Sales) was absolutely terrific and the inventory selection was great.

George Becker was our point person on a battery problem we had. We got the battery replaced, but George went out to personally check it out and found that it was not working properly. He had his tech trouble shoot the issue until it was corrected. The tech indeed found a separated wire connection. It might have been missed if not for George. Thanks George

We have a lemon with no door! No one will help us. Not from them, coleman, or camperworld. We bought it 8/8/22 it’s now 8/16/22. We have to now search alternatives for legal representation.

Richard Wysong was extremely kind and provided excellent customer service. My husband and I came in just to look and get some information as we are just starting our search. We weren’t going to buy anything and made sure we let him know that as we didn’t want to waste his time. He never pressures us but did a great job educating us! When we are ready we will definitely reach back out to him!

The service Tech Nick was great. He kept me informed and that means a lot to me. Unfortunately the service folks left the batteries turned on and they were dead when I picked up the RV. Why is it so hard to have the service folks turn a switch to keep the batteries working. Oh, and I just had a new battery installed too.

This is my third camper purchased at Camping World - my husband was here to help me purchase the first two and help with decisions and choice of campers and all the technical issues. He passed away in 2020 and I never thought I would purchase another camper. I am going from a Class C to a Class A gas motorhome and without him to be there to assure me this was okay it was scary but Camping World of Kingston staff were ever so kind and courteous throughout the showing, the dealing and the buying process and I have to say I was comfortable making the decision - I know he was watching over me - but I now own an appropriate size Class A thanks to the help of the staff at Kingston. I especially want to thank John Poll who took me for a test drive, Julia Borey, salesperson, Joe in Finance and I believe it was Dave, not sure if I have that right, who did a fantastic job with the walkthrough - he was awesome and wonderful in explaining everything to me. Thank you all again - cant wait to become a more confident driver and go camping.

Although I did not end up buying from Ben as I found a trailer locally, he was very good with keeping in touch, alerting me to what was new coming in and being a wealth of information regarding rvs.

Our sales associate Jeremy Smith was outstanding. Knowledgeable, professional, no hassle or high pressure sale. He listened and offered solutions. The finance manager Joe as top rate too. No high pressure just talk and discuss. If you want an excellent experience see Jeremy

Excellent parts department, extremely high RV prices, I'd definitely recommend going elsewhere if looking to buy a new or used RV!

Cameron D’Souza is something different. He knew we were not trying to buy anything but still was persistent enough to show us exactly everything we wanted! Unfortunately, we do not have the financial means to go forward but I’ll be damned if I go to anyone but him! Cameron thank you again for all your help! Hope to see you in the near future!

I have brought my RV in fur repair a few times since I have owned it. David Yegelwell has been the service person. I have dealt with. He good at his job. Makes you feel comfortable even with dumb questions. He keep me informed on how my repairs were going. And when I had question about the RV he showed me the answers. I would recommend anybody to see him

We were looking to purchase an RV. Richard showed us around, and he was super helpful and patient. We had a really wonderful experience here!

We had a great experience buying our first travel trailer at camping world. Our salesperson, Joe, was very knowledgeable and was very helpful through the whole process.

David Day was our sales person. Her really helped with the process of choosing and purchasing. He always returned my phone calls and did what he said he would do.

Kevin greeted me gratuitously and began asking questions on what brought me in. I felt welcomed and as he began to understand my need after getting all my critical info we began to narrow down what fit my need. After only a few minutes Kevin had some options for me. He continued to make me feel seen and heard. We had some small talk as walked out to see the tow behind trailers I was in the market to buy. We looked at three separate trailers. He explained the differences in each and each of the unique features.
My time was limited but Kevin had provided me clear solutions as to my wants and need. He emailed
Links to the units we looked at and followed up with me. It was really great working with Kevin as hope to make a purchase in near future.

My fiancé and I have been looking for new ways to vacation during these crazy times. We thought we would check out RVs and boy did we come to the right spot. We have been work with Sam, whose not just wealth of knowledge, but incredible kind and patient. He continues to deal with our indecisiveness and is always keep us in mind when something new comes in, he thinks we would like. I highly recommend working with Sam if your interested in purchasing an RV in the future.

Stopped in for a shower faucet. Help was great.
I inquired about a drain problem and was directed to John.
This guy is amazing. Not only did he have an idea what was wrong he came out to the RV and looked at the plumbing. He explained exactly what I needed to do. He said they usually don't carry the part I needed yet he still went in back to check. They didn't have it but he gave suggestions.
I asked about satellite TV and the information that he gave me was great.
I am looking for a portable one and there were 3 different ones.
He explained about the position of the satellites and best way to set up.
I didn't buy but only because of the prices. I felt they were a little high. I am hoping that a sale comes up soon.
But if you're on the NY STATE Thruway passing exit 19 Kingston, get off.it is right next to Thruway. Big place, plenty of parking and a very large store.

Dont waste your time. Shady business practices all up in here. When we were running numbers, they were way off from mine, telling me my calculator app was wrong, meanwhile my wife used a different calculator app and came up with the same as mine to the penny!

I am only disappointed that I can not leave more than 5 stars. Our salesman Chuck went above and beyond, and exceeded my expectations, and I am not an easy customer. The salesman, Ryan Decker, was knowledgeable, pleasant, and straightforward. He wasn't pushy and I felt comfortable with him. I flopped back and forth between two TT and he was patient with me. I ended up having to cancel the deal a few days later (unforseen family issues) and he was understanding and cared enough to call me later to check on me (I was a mess). So when I am ready again I will definitely be going back to deal with Ryan Decker to purchase my dream trailer. Thanks Ryan for going that extra step to check on me.

My salesman Chick was very helpful in showing me many different campers. Chick has a tremendous knowledge of each of the campers. I would definitely buy from camping world again because of workers like Chuck.

I'm working with Nick P.in the Service Department on some warranty work, as well as some upgrades for my Travel Trailer. I've worked with a number of dealerships in the past, and I can say that Nick has been thee most attentive & responsive individual that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I've had some difficult questions regarding my electrical upgrades. The thing I appreciate most is that when Nick doesn't know the answer, he doesn't try to make one up, he discusses the situation with installers and other professionals in the industry to give me insight into my decision. I'll be purchasing my next RV from this location simply because of the customer service offered by the service department.

Great service from Don and team! As we know, it is challenging to find a suitable camper now-a-days. One call to our salesperson, Don M, and he was on it. We knew exactly what we wanted, so that helped. Don was able to find a unit and have it transferred to the Kingston location. We completed the deal about 2 weeks ago.
Pickup was equally as pleasant. We had Eric show us through the camper and demonstrate the features. Unfortunately, we missed checking a few features (solar panel being fully connected and outdoor speakers) and, of course, those 2 things are not working properly. We now have a service appointment to get those fixed. I wish we could have caught those prior to me bringing the unit home (1.5 hours away) but its a learning experience for next time. Overall, satisfied with the sales and delivery teams!

This was our very first time looking at RV's, and I am so glad that Cameron was the person we were dealing with. I first wanted to see a Class B RV, but that size was quickly rules out. He answered all of the questions we had, and gave us a ton of information regarding Class C RV's. He seemed to know exactly what we were looking for in the short time we were there.

He told me that I should call if I have any questions, and I truly appreciate the fact that he was sincere about that!

I worked with Julia Borey to get our Jayco 174BH camper and I can't praise this dealership enough. I had some troubles with my tow vehicle the day of pickup and they helped me troubleshoot the issue and got me running and I was still able to go home with my unit that day as planned.lets just say that they saved the day for my kids who were very excited about our new toy! I will continue to refer friends and family to Camping World and I will definitely be working with them again at some point down the road. So excited to use our new camper!

George and his staff where excellent at taking care of all problem we unfortunately brought the camper from Statesville NC and it had a bad door! George took great care of so at the end of the day we are Happy Campers.

I recently had warranty service done. As we all know during the past year supplies and parts have been behind. Nick Pendell did an excellent job keeping me updating on the eta of my parts. Being that camping season has started I was worried about the repair being done in time. My repair was not any sort of an emergency. He did tell me that If it got too close to the time of my trip that I could take my camper and then bring it back after my trip if the parts didn’t come in time. Every week I got an update from Nick, the parts happened to come and the repair was done before my first trip. Thanks again Nick, we are all quick to get mad at the messenger and I just want to say real customer service is keeping the customer informed when things are out of your hands!

Purchased a camper a couple years back not a great experience, if it wasn't for the sales man I would have went elsewhere.

Now trying to get something replaced on my camper is a nightmare. No one ever calls you back! They say send emails they are better and still days letter no reply. Took me 3 days to finally talk to someone just to find out the have no open availability in there service department!

Had a great experience bringing my Jayco travel trailer in for Warranty work. I worked with Nick who was very easy to communicate with, reviewed and set expectations in a timely matter and they were able to get all the work finished before I needed it back before my first trip of the season.

Work was all performed as asked, but I left without receiving my NYS Inspection sticker. Jessica followed up with the work and offered to mail it to me, which saves me a trip back out. Greatly appreciated!

While in the store I witnessed other customers having some very unrealistic expectations on dropping their trailer off a week before Memorial Day for service. The members of the service department handled these customers professionally and explained the reasons behind the anticipated wait times.

Nice store with a wide selection but, crowded with a long line at check out also difficult to get help. I did go on Sunday morning so maybe I just happened to be there at a busy time or maybe COVID caused them to not be able to get enough employees. I was not able to find what I needed and had to go somewhere else.

I purchased a camper in 2018. Just recently sold it to a lovely couple. I never had to use the heat in the camper so I recommended they contact Camping World of Kingston, only to hear that they already called and the Camping World representative was not helpful or polite in any way. I'm so disappointed! They only needed some instruction on how to turn on the heat.

THIS experience with salesman Cameron was very different and a pleasant one also Thank you. To now onto the service Tech Eric G. This guy was AMAZING beyond AMAZING we have bought several campers from this place and have NEVER had this service. He went above and beyond on everything TRULY AMAZING Thank You!

I talked to Sam about the different styles of campers and was blown away by how little I actually knew about the subject. I highly recommend going to him if you are even slightly interested in purchasing one.

After purchasing my first camper from Camping world in Kingston. I am more than happy with the experience I received.
