Awesome campgrounds. Plenty of activities on the weekends for children. The pool is heated and was still open in the middle of September when we visited. Staff was super friendly and our cabin was clean. Only thing that could have been better would be a coffee machine vs a kuerig in the cabin. Other than that everything was perfect.

This is such a nice campground and a great experience! The kids loved the gem mining and train rides! We enjoyed the water view and the staff was so nice to us! On our favorites list for sure!
23 September 2023 0:38
Husband and I took a trip with all 3 pups and I couldn't even tell you who had more fun! The doggos and husband loved being able to walk the beautiful trail in the cooler weather, especially the husky. And being a fan of gems, I definitely bought an embarrassing amount of dirt for the gem mining (Got some good finds, so worth it!) Views were amazing and so was the staff, we will absolutely be back!
19 September 2023 11:54
Stayed in a cabin while I was in the area for a business conference. I was very happy with the cost and how comfortable it was. The Adirondacks are calling and you must go!
18 September 2023 15:19
What a beautiful campground and easy to get to. We camped along the river and had the best time. The pedal bikes were super fun and the staff was amazing and helpful. We will be back!
18 September 2023 4:12
Our site close to the cabins, pavilion and pool was perfect! The team was amazing and even helped us get to our site! Great campground to bring the whole family to with activities for all ages!
13 September 2023 8:30
This is such a great campground. It feels so private, the trees are tall, the staff is amazing, I love camping here.
02 September 2023 14:36
The cabins were well equipped and pretty clean. The campground had a lot to do, swimming pool, game room, movie night, train rides for the kids. They even had a mining sluice box you can buy a bag of gems and try your luck. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. If you had any issues they wanted to know right away. I had one issue with our bunk so they came and fixed it quickly. The camp store has everything you could need for camping. They even had food you could order. The place had a laundry room and a bathhouse for showers. My family definitely had fun and we will be back again. Did I also mention they are a pet friendly campground.
30 August 2023 7:34
I had a good experience when coming here. The last time I was here it was known as Tin Box. It has changed, there are less ceramics and there are no weekday activities. You have to wait till the weekend to do fun activities.
28 August 2023 2:22
It was nice the WiFi was fast enough.the camp sites are tight.but still would go back.the staff was helpful.nice weekend get away
25 December 2022 15:48
Very clean and well kept facilities. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this Camp ground looking forward to visiting there other one's.
07 December 2022 4:40
This is a beautiful campground and we had a great spot! The staff was personable and welcoming. Cannot give it 5 stars as the restroom/bathhouses were not cleaned the entire time we were there. Every time we went in the floors were tracked with mud. The washers worked fine, but only one dryer was working and it left black marks on my sheets. It was end of season but that is no excuse for dirty restroom/bathhouse.
28 November 2022 21:13
We went as a group of women for a bachelorette party. We left the cabins that we stayed at and the fire pits that were available. Each cabin was heated. It was beautiful during the seasonWith the leaves changing around us. The campground seems very welcoming. Unfortunately we are not the quietest people but it seems like we didn't bother anyone around us. We will come back again.
14 November 2022 1:59
Made reservations for a particular site and received confirmation email containing a picture of the site. After a 4 hour ride and arriving to site it did not even look close to picture of site we had reserved. Roads do not have signs. Was told there was no site that looks like the picture of the site we reserved. The girl in front office with red hair needs to learn how to deal with people, terrible attitude. After voicing my concerns to manager, he agreed to refund my money, we left for another campground. Site was not clean and was not meant for big rig causing us to pull out and back down road to exit. I would not recommend this campground to anyone!
13 November 2022 17:01
For a last minute getaway for labor day weekend the cabin was a spacious and the bunk beds were comfortable.
13 November 2022 14:43
This was our 4th visit since 2016. There have been some changes and they do have some work to do but we were treated very well.the staff is courteous and went out of their way to interact with the guests in a positive and friendly way. The kids 9 and 11) want to go back next year so I am really looking forward to seeing what progress will have been made.
23 October 2022 2:56
This place is way too noisy. Parents let their kids have the run of the place, screaming all the time. Sites are ridiculously small and stuffed together. Will not come here again.
17 October 2022 23:29
We stayed at Camp Tin Box multiple times last year and this Memorial day weekend, and we were never disappointed. We had a week camping trip booked a few days after the transition over to Spacious Skies, and just returned from another weekend there. I still love the campground, yes there are some changes but nothing major that would ever stop me from returning. You can see they are working all the time to improve the campground, and we were extremely happy to see that some of our favorite workers are still there, especially Megan and Rob. We love the activities during the weekend, especially BINGO! The pool with the slide is definitely a big hit with the kids, and we always try to book a river site with full hook ups. Last year we enjoyed tubing, unfortunately this year with the lack of rain we weren't able to (campground can't control the lack of rain and the river being so low). All the other campers are extremely nice and the kids always find other kids to play with. We will definitely be back, and wish the new owners the best as they work on improving the campground.
16 October 2022 5:23
Recently stayed in a Yurt at Spacious Skies Campground. What a wonderful experience! Friendly associates, clean facilities, plenty to do for kids and adults alike. Two pools, rec room, weekend activities, mini golf; bike and golf cart rental. Cabins available as well if not staying in your RV or tent.
06 October 2022 15:53
My family and I absolute love this campground, we have made it a yearly trip. Plenty of activities for the kids and the staff is super friendly. Especially Meghan…. We just love her; you can tell she loves her job! Friday night was karaoke night and Saturday night was bingo…lots of fun! First time we’ve been back since it has switched over to Spacious Skies and it didn’t disappoint. The cabin we stayed in (100) was much bigger than we thought; comfortable and had basic necessities. We’ll be back next season! Can’t wait to see what the new owners add to this gem.
06 October 2022 15:10
Our family had a blast tent camping here. We checked in late, and they were very helpful in leaving us a detailed map with directions so we could find our camp location. The site is clean and beautiful. There is a beautiful shallow river, which made for a great hike. We also enjoyed their two pools. Lastly, we especially loved this place because there were no mosquitos.:)
04 October 2022 0:10
Think twice about going here. $30.00 if you want to "secure" an exact site. It is basically a trailer park full of seasonal campers. Not well set up for transient campers. Sites are small and right on top of each other. Campground map is totally inaccurate and there are virtually no signs anywhere. Access points to the water are not marked and neither are the paths. None of the roads or loops are marked and the direction to travel is unclear. Campground roads are pitch black and unlit at night. It is very easy to drive right into somebody's else site. We encountered unsupervised, very young children riding their bikes on the roads in the pitch black. Several sites are literally on gravel roads or on the side to cram in as many sites as possible. On the plus side, you can order pizza from the store and have it delivered to your site! The employees were pleasant. Although in need of updating the restrooms were well stocked and fairly clean.
28 August 2022 22:26
First time visiting this past weekend and definately won't come back. Traffic noise from the interstate drowns out everything. Kids up well past midnight running and screaming and no parents in sight. The RV spots are small and crammed together like sardines in oil. There were no signs marking any roads through the campground and the map is not even close to being to scale. Once in our site we had several choices for power and water hookups because nothing was marked. The bathrooms were disgusting and not well stocked. My wife mentioned this to an employee and was told "guess you'll have to walk over to the other one". And the golf carts.why do so many golf carts have to be driving around all the time? It's not a big campground; did people forget how to walk? A few of the golf carts should be sent to the scrap yard since their engines were worn out 10 years ago. They were belching out a trail of blue smoke that made it unbearable to sit outside. Hopefully the new owners will fix some of these things but I'm not holding my breath.
20 August 2022 13:31
Nice what the new owners are doing with the place. They have been very helpful and nice to the Fire Department. They invited us to take a look around the camp and get a feel about everything before the camping season had begun. (This was Tin Box)
05 August 2022 5:53
It's a beautiful place they have lots of things to do on the weekend the cabins are neat and clean and the people are friendly
18 March 2022 13:19
Nice what the new owners are doing with the place. They have been very helpful and nice to the Fire Department. They invited us to take a look around the camp and get a feel about everything before the camping season had begun.
03 January 2022 1:11
Not a bad trip, a lot of things were out of order or service.or they didnt have staff to cover it.the balloon popped, the kayaks were out of service.the cabins were superr crowded tbh like they jammed the most odd sized beds ive ever seen.they also have no idea of height understanding.some of the beds had 3 ft some had a half a foot, some beds were a square, enough for 2 people, some were. 5 and not large enough for one, i dont get why they didnt just split it and make it even LOL u can tell they cheaply tried to cram people in and for that 3 stars absolute max.
30 December 2021 13:01
My wife and I were looking for a campground near Indian Head Vista hike and found Camp Tin Box. We stayed in one of their couples yurts! It was an amazing experience. The yurt was clean and had all necessary amenities. Check-in/checkout was so easy and bathroom/shower facility was clean.
02 December 2021 10:53
Staff are very friendly. Sites are clean and well kept. Would have given 5 stars but when you say you have cable, one should be able to get more than 4 channels (same as an antenna). Lots of activities for young children.
14 October 2021 19:20
We spent 3 nights in one of the yurts at Camp Tin Box. The bed in the yurt was very comfortable, and the campground itself was quiet and conveniently off of Route 87. We slept soundly all 3 nights.

When we got into the yurt the surfaces had a bit of dirt on them, but, like, you're in the woods. If you were regular tent camping, you'd have WAY MORE dirt on everything. I'd just recommend wiping stuff down with a paper towel or sanitizing wipe.

2 of the 4 showers were out of order, but the 2 that worked were nice and warm with good pressure!

It's clear that the folks who took over this once Jellystone park are putting love and care into this place as they slowly make it their own. Camp Tin Box is worth a stay if you find yourself in the area!
08 October 2021 2:21
Very kid oriented. Our 10 year old loved it! Best Halloween that we ever had! (Even if it was in August!)
We stayed in a "yurt". Air conditioned, very clean, refrigerator, comfortable.
Would have given 5 stars but, the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned over the 2 days that we were there. It still beats no shower and going in the woods! After all, it is camping!
07 October 2021 5:30
It's so awsome and very welcoming. There is so many things for kids and adults to do alike. Everyday there is something fun to do. There is a bounce pillow, mini-golf, playgrounds and more. Incase you are camping and don't have a shower/bathroom, there are public bathrooms with showers! They are actually in very good condition, they get cleaned everyday. (if you can't tell I am a writer hahaha) I highly suggest you visit Camp Tin Box for a fun camping trip. And if camping isn't for you but still want to do something fun with kids for the weekend, then rent a Cabin! (or have an RV that's good too.) They are a little pricey but they are nice. DEFINITELY WORTH GOING BACK
05 October 2021 23:18
Nice campground for family camping, tent spots are tight but cabins are nice and full hookup for RV. Staff was very friendly and helpful, lent me a propane tank when I ran out while cooking dinner. Minus 1 star because it's close to the highway and there is car noise at night.
05 October 2021 23:07
I have been going here annually for at least 5 years every summer my family and I go up for the 4th of July and recently checked out there Halloween themed weekend, the campsite overall is amazing and has great friendly staff! It's always exciting and a pleasure to return each year!
01 October 2021 8:03
This campground was the best I've seen in years! The staff is super friendly and the activities and things to do were awesome! Camp Tin Box has a new fan and we will return many times in the future. The affordability is convenient for families looking for a fabulous camping adventure. They have tent sites, camper sites, RV pull through sites, yurts and full glamping cabins.
17 September 2021 0:02
The cabin is cozy and clean. Grandkids had a blast in the pools. Wifi needs improving as we couldn't connect to it, but that's not what camping is about.
12 September 2021 10:19
The camp had a lot of great activities! Many friends were made! My girls did not want to leave! Very clean everywhere!
21 August 2021 12:03
Super kid friendly. Many things to do! We had so much fun in the pool, mining for treasures, cupcake decorating and so much more. Very much recommend this family oriented campground. And the staff were so nice and helpful!
19 August 2021 6:17
This is our second time camping here. We enjoy staying here. The location is great, 40 minutes to lake George and 40 minutes to lake Placid. The sites are large, especially down next to the Schroon river, which is a nice lazy river for inner tubes during the dry season. The 2 swimming pools are also great. I recommend checking them out.
13 August 2021 15:33
Great for kids and we all loved staying in a yurt! Jumping pillow, heated pool with slide, lots of playgrounds, organized activities and close to cool ADK activities (including a brewery for the adults).
12 August 2021 3:36
Camped for 3 night July 4th weekend and they were very understaffed. We had a few tent sites for our 3 families and they catered to RV campers more as very little attention was paid to the bathrooms and showers. There are only 2 buildings that house restrooms and showers and they were disgusting. I saw the staff cleaning once but they did not do a thorough job and rather than replace toilet paper, they left a giant roll on the muddy counter. By the end of the weekend most bathrooms were unusable with no toilet paper, toilets running and full. We had sites on a loop and the sites were great but our neighbors were up until 2am yelling and screaming obscenities. The next night the site next to us was so full of people at least one person slept in a running car which kept us up all night No one patroled to enforce the rules so anybody was allowed to do anything. People had more than three vehicles per site so we were blocked in when we went to leave as people just parked in the middle of the road.
It did seem like a major understaffing issue as we only saw the same 4 people every day working there.
With that being said they did come around and collect garbage which was nice. They also brought wood to your site if you bought any from the store. There were lots of activities for the kids which were free The stop was very friendly that we saw and he seems to be happy. When I checked out, somebody was complaining to the staff about these issues and they said they can't be everywhere and admitted it was a staffing issue.
Considering all they have to offer, we would camp there again and just hope by next year the new owners work out the kinks and hire more staffing
16 July 2021 22:35
This was a great spot just north of lake George. We had a great time and the kids loved it. Lots of activities and the pool was heated. We will be back!
15 July 2021 0:57
Nice little RV park in the woods. Lots of stuff for the kids to do, some of the amenities are a little worse for wear but the staff were all very friendly and good with the kids.
30 May 2021 12:18
This park has a huge walk that covers at least 1 mile one way!

There is water fall in spring and summer and good social distance is being maintained!

The grass is clean and green and dog poop isn’t found but yes duck poop is all around

Suggest you to carry your picnic sheets and bags to chill here
23 November 2020 0:10
This is family friendly camping site. We were facing issue with our neighbor camper but the management was very helpful to solve the issue. Lot of activities for kids.
22 November 2020 0:27
My family and I drove 5hr to get here, once we were checked in, an was escorted to our “cabin” it was horrible. I’ve been staying at JellystonePark for a long time, however, this one was our first. This cabin was dirty, didn’t expected it to be this small, they were rat or mice dropping all over, the dishes was dirty, omg I can go on for days.my son was crying didn’t want to be here. Oh the girl at the front told us she couldn’t refund my money cause it was a holiday weekend. My kids and I were miserable. I just wanted to leave.this is my first and last time coming here.
19 September 2020 0:31
Recently stayed for five days in a camper. Our family have always gone to Java. This was a very small campsite in comparison. It was nice if your going to other places also like Lake George or the other lakes. Just staying on site and camping not that great. Needs to be updated. Not the cleanest. The tubing was misleading.very small area for that. Much more to do at other campsites like canoeing and better activities. On a good note it was nice to have the pools open during COVID. The staff were very nice and accommodating.
15 September 2020 11:59
When we arrived they tried to give us 3 tiny campaites for 18 people they fixed it right away but the second day they closed down the big pool so everyone had to swim in the pool with the water slide the employes at the store are very rude the jumping pad they only had up when they felt like doing it the yogi bear ride was closed 2 days so we didint get a chance to go on it the older man who i belives ownes it is the rudest person in the park will scream at u if u have a visitor the bathrooms are on the other side on the campground if ur in a tent they have porta pottys that they clean once a week and were disgisting the whole time we were there love yogy bear we made the best of it but next year it will.be new Hampshire yogy bear
14 September 2020 14:47
We have camped here twice and the last time was not as expected. We travel as a group of travel trailers. Some of our party needed to check in early, for an extra charge, and were able to while others that tried were told that they were unable even though the sites we were on were not booked before us. Our children were treated poorly by some of the rude staff, in particular the owner- Gina. One member of our party had an issue with the electric not working and all of the members of our party were unable to use the sewer hook ups that we paid for. No type of refund was offered for either of the services that were unavailable. Maintenance staff that came to try to help were wonderful about checking and apologizing about the problems however they don’t really have the power to make this right. We have enjoyed being close together and our sites had great access to the water. Our first experience was so enjoyable that we booked for this year but the most recent trip was not as expected. Very disappointed and probably won’t be returning next season.
13 September 2020 6:00
Great fun for the entire family. Plenty to do with the kids, and different fun filled events each weekend.
I will be returning with the family. And attempt visiting their 80+ locations
12 September 2020 7:15
Good idea for a kids campground. Poorly executed very little organization and communication. Its a little run down which would be forgivable if they made up for it in enthusiasm and organization but they don't. The kids don't notice too much but its obvious they are understaffed and the staff that is present is under trained and/or over loaded.
11 September 2020 20:20
Our grandkids (ages 5 and 7) enjoy this campground and their Haunted Forest spooky trail in August was amazing and very well done a little too scary for our kids bu ut adults loved it. We just wish they would improve their general maintenance of the grounds and buildings.the restroom building near the sites womens room has had seen better days, also do better job of litter pick up around their amenities like mini golf (old trash around) a few times a day and esp a sweep first thing every morning.and please rebuild or repair rotted picnic tables. Their camp store is one of the best we have seen in 15 yrs of Rving. Activity director Meghan was bright, bubbly and warmly engaging. Camp store is Extremely well stocked with parts, rv supplies, repair items as well as all the traditional souvenirs and food staples. Adult pool is nice. Thinking they need bigger kids pool. This was our 2nd visit in 3 yrs, same maintenance issues continue. We have a 30 ft travel trailer.
05 September 2020 23:24
3.8 stars. First, the owners are really nice. It's a friendly place and feeling like you are in the woods is lovely. However, the pool area needs repairs as do the bathrooms on the far side of the camp. They advertise tubing but really don't support it like other camps we have been at. This is our 3rd Jellystone we have stayed at and I understand there are constraints due to covid but it was pricey nonetheless
24 August 2020 16:09
I came here as a kid. Now brought my two children here. We had great time. Excellent staff and a lot of activities for the kids. We will be visiting here regularly.
23 August 2020 18:25
The staff are all friendly and the owner are just amazing people I would recommend this to anyone I'm so glad we stayed longer the kids enjoying their great way
20 August 2020 19:58
During COVID pandemic, we reserved the cabin at site 199. We chose this site to be away from everyone else on the grounds and have space for our children to not have to wear masks during this pandemic camping trip. We received a call the morning before we were suppose to leave stating our cabin we reserved was unavailable and we would have to stay at site 100, same style cabin, just in the middle of the campground and right next to the playground and common grounds of the campground. I had asked to speak with a manager as we were not comfortable with staying at this cabin. The staff had said they would put a message into the manager to call us back. I had called a handful of times trying to get in touch with a manager. The last time I had called I was told the manager/owner had left and they were the only person there and could not assist me. Every time I called I kept getting excuses from the staff as to why the manager was not returning my call or as to why they could not give the message. I called the morning of the day we were suppose to check in just to be told the manager/owner had the day off.

At time of reservation a 50% deposit was required, when paid reservation it was more than 50% of the total. I was told there would be no refund possible as per their 14 day cancellation policy, even though they had broken their reservation policy.

Very disappointed with the communication and professionalism of this campground. I would not recommend reserving a site unless you want to get bounced around and given a run around as to why you cannot stay where you reserved and to why you cannot speak with a manger.
18 August 2020 12:57
We stayed for 3 nights at tent site 157. We had a private trail to the river and we were able to walk up and down as we liked without going through other sites. The daily activities were great for kids. Pool area was clean and the hours were great. Faculties were cleaned often and every one was so friendly. I recommend for a nice time with kids. Thank you for your hospitality.
17 August 2020 16:09
Here now and can’t wait to leave. Spaces are way too small. Can’t even open our shades because the people are so close I can touch them. Don’t waste your money
08 August 2020 22:37
Always an amazing family experience!

The Jellystone Park in North Hudson has been run by the same couple for more than a quarter of a century, and the pride of ownership still shows in everything that they do.

From constant expansion and additions to the camp and its amenities, to making sure that there is always something for the kids to do, they are always on spot and hit their target!

I can't recommend this place enough to folks looking to have a TRUE Adirondacks experience. By that I mean that the weather is likely to change on a time, from a beautiful sunny day to thunderstorms; but this is a part of the Adirondacks! If you aren't looking for that, you're better off booking a room in Arizona, where you can at least count on "hot and dry".

Otherwise, give these folks a call.

You won't be disappointed!
07 August 2020 4:44
This place is rundown and over priced for what you get. Most of the activities they post aren’t what they seem. Some of the employees are very friendly while others are rude. They do not enforce any of their rules. At night it can get really loud. We had group of teenagers partying all night near our site and it kept us up. We were really excited when we saw that there was river tubing, but when we got there, the water was really shallow and it was less than a mile long. One day we went to the pool for a while and we left for two minutes to go to the bubble activity they had right next to the pool and once we returned, we were told we could’t go back in to swim and that we had to sign up for a time. There was not a time available until 4 hours later. I understand that they need to modify due to covid-19 but they should at least tell campers about this new sign up sheet for the pool that way they know ahead of time. Also the paintball field was closed along with the arcade, which they do not tell you ahead of time. I feel like the price to camp here is not worth it and you are better off going elsewhere.
01 July 2020 1:40
Kids had a wonderful weekend. The park was a little disappointing. Everything was basically shutdown due to Covid restrictions. Majority of the sites were still not cleaned up from last year. Debris everywhere. It seems like discounts should have been given because of the lack of activities that were offered.
06 November 2019 15:31
My granddaughters and I had a great time there last week! This was my second time camping at this campground this summer. My granddaughters enjoyed all the activities and especially the great milkshakes that Sam made for us. Thank you, Sam! Sam and her sister, Amanda, very cheerfully helped us out and answered any questions we had! You have a great staff! I will be back!
25 October 2019 18:44
What a great place. The owners are pleasant and sure know how to keep campers happy. The park is well kept clean so much fun many things to do. We love this park. We bring our grandchildren always to wake up the bears they enjoy it so much. As I said the owners work hard to keep campers happy and busy breakfast with the bears, singing with tractor rides so much to keep the kids going all day. Yes they do have adult fun as well. They also have a wonderful store that is stocked with all our needs, and staff that is friendly and helpful. Thank you Gina & Mike We will see you next May. Mary & Jim OMarra

My fiance mentioned jellystone park when we were on our way home from the great escape.it was late so we couldnt stop in, but we decided to go the next day.she told me how much fun it was when she went with her gram a few yrs ago and i nor my 4 kids had ever been there so we went.well we only had 4hrs to spend here seeing how we got here very late (its 10$ a person and our 9 month old was free, but no there is no discount from being able to spend the whole day for 10$ a person to only being able to spend 4hrs) but within the 4 hours we had a blast, mainly swam the whole time in the heated pool, and they have a 1 foot deep pool for younger kids thats also heated.but we bought a bucket of sand and random stones that the kids got to sift through to oncover the stones/fossils and played some miniature golf (which was free with our admission) had some jump pads and a jump pillow (kids loved those) you can also camp here prices are alright.we missed the train and hay rides tho which was a bummer.but overall an awesome experience, and made some awesome memories with the kids. (didnt get to see yogi tho they said he was sleeping lol, kids were bummed but look forward to going back and seeing him)
