A super fun venue and bar but the restaurant and food has repeatedly been a huge disappointment.

Funny thing! I always recommend my out of town customers to check out riverworks, and this was my actual 1st time! I love the atmosphere, all the industrial looking art. It's absolutely wonderful that the history of the industrial era of our city is not destroyed but preserved and repurposed in places like Buffalo riverworks.
We started out with chicken tot- chos. It was so good! It might look like a garbage plate, but the smoke beer queso brings all the flavors together. It's a big plate, too!
I had a fish reuben, good, but i prefer the original sandwich and lindenberry sour. My daughter had a bacon jam burger - one of the tastiest burgers i have ever had. My niece had fish fry - she loved it. My son had his usual-chicken fingers.

Came for a birthday activity and we will definitely be back! Great food, drinks, Jacob was awesome, and had so much fun! Spent just over $100 and it was well worth it!

Called last night she told were open today. Drove down there to check it out nothing opened, employee told me sorry for the wasted trip. Place looks like run down Crack mill

We enjoyed an overnight stay at Buffalo RiverWorks as part of the Harvest Host program. The facility is massive with lots of family activities and a nice patio on the river for dinner. The staff was courteous and the food and beer were good. We had a nice time exploring the grounds.

Love EVERYTHING about this Place. Spacious, the Ferris Wheel, Outside Patio, Service, the Atmosphere. EVERYTHING.
I tried The Bacon Jam Burger today. DELICIOUS

What an unbelievable experience of poor service and food. We cannot recommend this restaurant at all. They completely ignored food orders for guests at our table, plus the food was sub-quality.

Nothing beats a river view while eating and enjoying a beer on a summer afternoon. Nothing.

The bartender refused to make our margaritas, mules and old fashions correctly. The waiter knew they were wrong and brought them anyway saying “she’s too lazy to do them right so sorry this is what you get”. We had to send multiple items back because they were completely wrong. They put items on our food we specifically said to make sure was not there. Such a horrible experience.

Awesome venue but they are really weird about seating. My group of 8 wanted to watch some of the hockey games while we ate and weren't allowed to sit where we wanted. The food is typical buffalo bar food.

Fun place to spend a couple hours with the family. Lots of activities and games. Fun things to do outside like the zip line. Food was ok, just normal bar type food.

Had pizza and beer was good.when they first opened they had dock hands if you came bye boat not this way anymore.

I went here with a group of friends. There is a ton of fun activities to keep you busy.
The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star is because of the food. The pretzels are hard, and the pizza tastes like boxed frozen pizza.
The pepper dip was delicious though.

Attended a class reunion, it changed from last time I was there, they are added some things to attract people, and that is good

Brought visiting relatives (as always) to see this exceptional adaptation of old industrial space. Love the setting and the vibe. But if the kitchen is swamped and you can't get orders served in an hour, TELL PEOPLE THAT UP FRONT, the way you tell them THEY can only stay for a limited time. Not fair to hold customers hostage to poor staff scheduling decisions or whatever. Not fair to wait staff either.

The food was amazing! Being on the water and people watching is fantastic. The only thing that I wish was better is the service. Our waitresses was so busy that she only came to the table once and we had to even flag down another server to get our check.

I am hoping that todays service was just a "fluke" because the place is seriously awesome.

I will never go here again. A few years ago I went and you could sit at the tables by the water and have a few drinks and enjoy watching the boats. Not anymore. If u sit at a table u get kicked out. You have to order food not just drinks. So I said that’s fine I will order food. That’s not good enough, you have to go in the restaurant and have a hostess seat you and order food that way. But you are not guaranteed a table by the water. So 3 other people also got kicked out of the tables. One person ordered food from the bar and was told they could sit there. He came back to the table and a waitress told him and his wife they couldn’t sit there and eat. If you order food from the bar you have to sit in a totally different area. He was not happy. 3 other guys were told they had to move and they went looking for the manager. No one was happy. This is absolutely ridiculous and I will never return. Thing of it is all the tables were empty no one was sitting there. Does not make much sense. I was going to order a gift card as a birthday gift, forget it. Done with this place and it was my birthday and they ruined my day.

This place could be a gold mine if they would have good food. The food is horrible! The best part about this place is location and atmosphere.

Went to this establishment in July 2023, I picked a Tue afternoon because I knew it would not be crowded. And my son and niece bought tickets to the zip line experience. ($45 each) my son is only 11 years old, but it seemed like a pretty safe activity. There are four zip lines. On the second zip line when my son was coming in, the team member that was guiding them was talking to another rider and not paying attention to my son. So when my son was supposed to be unhooked from the line, he fell on the floor and severely cut his knee. They continued with the rest of the zip lines. And when they came down, I saw that he was bleeding. Blood was all on his leg and absorbed into his socks.
We went back to the kiosk where we were supposed to pay. I asked them for first aid supplies. They pulled out a box that had very little supplies and none of them were wound cleaning supplies. No gauze. No bandage nothing! It was pretty much an empty box. While waiting for the supplies, the person who was in the group of riders, came up to me and apologized because he said he was the one that was talking to the employee and the employee was not paying attention.
Waited about a good 10 minutes for someone to bring us a Band-Aid. But in the meantime, they gave us brown paper towels I washed off my sons like. And they finally gave us Bandaid.
I asked the attendant that I felt like he was not paying attention to him, and was talking to the other rider, he laughed it off. And said …”Yes I was talking, ” when I went up to the kiosk, I mentioned it again, and their a response to me, was “well we were not up there”
I felt like all the employees couldn’t wait for me to leave and put the incident behind them and act like it never happened. Riverworks management has to get their act together.
Buy a good first aid kit. And teach employees to be a little bit more compassionate.
I would love from someone in management to give me a call, we at least deserve an apology for the negligence!

I can't give them 1 star because the atmosphere and some bartenders are ok, but whoever runs the kitchen has no idea what they are doing. Honestly this place could be amazing, but don't eat here you'll be waiting at least an hour, or 2 hours like we did. It seems like there is absolutely no leadership for the kitchen and bartenders. I pray they fix this otherwise is going to close.

Came here for a reservation for 6pm, got served food at 8 pm. The place
was dead, not busy. At 6pm after sitting for 25 minutes we went to the bar and ordered our own drinks. I would not recommend coming here for reservations. Pop in and leave. Not here for service.definitely looking for the drinking crowds not the dining crowds. Totally waste of time aaaand food was COLD! What I have learned is they can not handle business on a slow night. Too much for the kitchen, I worry what it's like on a busy night.vs. A slower night, slow =serious lag.

Atmosphere only 2 stars as the patio doesn't have garbage cans. Therefore, the bar tops and tables are left with food, empty drinks, and cans. Busser is rarely around, and they have a cart full of trash out in the open. Was a shame to see as when it first opened was not like this. Management needs to tighten up the shift. Bar food is good, though.

The first time we went here, a concert was going on so the restaurant/concert venue was closed to the public. We liked the outside atmosphere of the place and the history surrounding it, so we decided to return the following week. Unfortunately, the restaurant itself turned into a big disappointment. The inside atmosphere is open, vast, and industrial. The bathrooms are damp and littered even though there was no concert going on. The food, however was the biggest disappointment of the day. I ordered a gluten free two-topping pizza and received a floppy, white disk with the ingredients half hazardly thrown on. I paid about $13 for the pizza (small), $4 to make it GF, and $5 for two toppings. I didn't know if I should eat it or not, but I didn't want to make a fuss and I was hungry. I ate half and brought the other part home. When I told a worker how undercooked it was, she said putting it in an air fryer would do wonders. Baking it in an oven did firm it up but geesh why am I cooking a $22 pizza for one at home? I should mention that the GF crust (despite being baked further), was seriously bland. In addition to the mediocre, pricey food, the plastic cup alcohol beverages were expensive and weak and the lack of an itemized bill when cashing out will keep us from coming back here again for a meal. The $3 for a simple carnival ride didn't help the situation either.

Autism-friendly post - I went to dinner at Riverworks with my family to celebrate my son's birthday - the waitress, Kayleigh, was asking him how old he was and when he didn't answer, I advised that he has Autism. After that, Kayleigh repeatedly checked in to ask if it was too loud or if there was anything else we needed and even stored our cake in the cooler and let us occupy the table (which is lost income so I did move my family once we were done eating). We had a great time on the rides and rope course (staff was helpful knowing my son was struggling a bit) and then, at the end of evening while we were enjoying arcade games, Kayleigh brought out our cake, dishes and silverware even though we weren't in the correct station anymore! Just wanted to say that we'll be returning because my kids had a blast, they were welcomed and accepted and Kayleigh went out of her way to be helpful and trust me, that goes so far to mamas with special needs kiddos - amazing experience, thank you Kayleigh!
