This is my all time favorite salon in NYC. The space is GORGEOUS. The stylists are so kind and incredibly talented. So in love with my hair! Highly recommend.

Robi has been cutting my hair off and on for years and he is just the best. I visited him in his new digs at Bubu last week and I must say it was an excellent cut - a true artist. Great salon and sweet people as well.

Sam is the best, we love Sam, nobody knows Sam like I know Sam. Sam’s fantastic.we’re making many deals together, his hair scissors, my hair, it’s fantastic! I told Sam, cut me like one of your French girls, and boy did he. Great salon, it’s huge and believe me I wrote the art of the salon. Everyone there knows what their doing, I know what their doing. I could do it better, but come on.

I highly recommend bubu nyc to anyone in the city! The stylists are all incredibly talented and friendly, and the salon is super comfortable and clean (they're also very safe and considerate when it comes to COVID). Danielle did a wonderful job with my haircut, and I'll definitely be coming back!

Danielle took me from dark brown to blonde blonde in one sitting, I’m truly amazed! Highly recommend this lovely salon.

Recently visited Bubu in the LES and all I can say is WOW. The space is beautifully put together & super covid safe. Each station is spaced out 6 ft apart, temp checks and hand sanitizer is available all around the salon. Danielle Chiz (owner) did my color & it came out AMAZING! The vibes, the staff, the covid precautions, the overall experience and my end results: 10 out of 10. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Sam Bullen has been doing my hair for years and I will follow him wherever he goes. He’s endlessly talented and makes all my hair dreams come true, every time. Ever since I started going to him- my hair has received volumes of compliments. He cuts in a way that makes even my bed head fall perfectly, and the way he balayages makes my hair look insanely natural. I only color my hair every six- ish months, and my grow out is completely seamless. I need my hair to be the lowest maintenance, and the way Sam cuts / colors my hair makes this possible. I’d trust him with anyone’s hair, in whatever state. He’s fun to be around and makes me feel gorgeous. He understands hair. I can’t recommend him enough. In these photos, you’re looking at a color that is three months old, and a cut that is fresh from today.

I am so thrilled with my experience!

First off, the sanitiser at the door, the disposable mask, and watching Danielle Chiz sanitize everything after her last client made me feel Bubu truly cares about keeping us safe during the trying times of the Covid pandemic.

We took some time to talk about what I wanted. It felt like a mini consultation before my appointment and was very in depth. The atmosphere was welcoming and Danielle is clearly very knowledgeable. This made me feel more comfortable in a hair colorists chair than I ever have. I had confidence that my hair would come out fantastic and it did! I could not be happier with both the color and style.

I feel this cut is going to be a lot more manageable. Even waking up the next morning it looks decent before I even style it, which feels like a miracle. My color is exactly what I wanted. I honestly don't think my past hair stylists have ever done toners or glazes afterwards. I really feel those last two steps helped. It was also nice for her to tell me they can do glazes between color appointments to help revitalize my red.

The atmosphere of the studio is cute and relaxing. I was offered water which was a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend this salon and Danielle. I will definitely be coming back for my next appointment!
