The Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Lightscape is like stepping into a fairytale. It's so amazing, you'll feel like a kid again!

Every step is a surprise, with lights, sounds, and nature all working together to make magic.

I loved the waterfall of lights on the hill, the tunnel that looked like you're walking through space and projections on the trees. It's fun for everyone, whether you're little or grown-up.

The lights are super energy-friendly, and you get to walk through the beautiful garden at night.

So, if you want a special holiday adventure, skip the usual stuff and come to Lightscape. It's not just lights, it's a whole other world.

You can get a hot drink and yummy treats on the way. It's the perfect way to end your magical journey!

Best park in the city. Come alone with a book and blanket for the afternoon or visit with family.

Nice place and we're able to see quite few flowers in spite of the weather. Their bonsai tree collection is beautiful as well as their orchids.

It was nice that this place has free community tickets that they have for those of us with limited funds. You just have to get them online from their website. There's not really much going on here. At least this time of year. So I wouldn't really recommend people to go right now. Waiting til the winter light show starts or just wait til spring. But the indoor garden like the desert and the tropical area were still cool to see.

An oasis in the heart of Brooklyn. Come for the flowers but stay for that out of city feeling. Perfect place to spend an afternoon when NYC's concrete jungle is starting to give those claustrophobic vibes and you need a breath of fresh air without the full escape of travel.

It’s such a beautiful place! It’s really big so you likely won’t see all there is to see in one day. Great place for pictures too.

Beautiful as always. They keep it so well manicured. It's very COVID-19 safe. I have no complaints will definitely go a few more times before winter begins.

The conservatory was the best place to see things in winter. I would love to come back in the spring to see the gardens and cherry blossoms in bloom.

July 2001 A lovely place to visit in Brooklyn. We last visited in the winter so it was nice to return and see things in bloom. Conservatory was closed this time. Lots of shade was welcome on a hot sunny day. Definitely worth a visit.

Our recent visit here did not disappoint. Beautiful as ever. A Saturday in August 2021, during COVID. Was good to see that masks were still recommended, and required in high traffic areas. Spent the most time in the Japanese Garden and Herb Garde. Each was exquisite. Everyone should make sure they visit hereat least once in their lives!

This place is absolutely gorgeous with so many varieties of trees, bushes, shrubs, and flowers. You will really appreciate nature and the beautiful flowers once you feast your eyes on this gem.

Please try and avoid excessively hot days as I had to leave earlier than I would have liked to due to it being 95° the day I went. If you can't avoid going on a hot day, you can always bring an umbrella to block out some of those deadly sun rays. The gardens do provide water fountains throughout the park if you forgot to bring water.

Such a beautiful place! Huge garden and so clean and taken care of! This is a place to always go back and see different parts of it! They have good kid's exhibits, they interact with teachers and learn new things!

Pros: Very nice place to visit, have a picnic, BBQ, celebrate an activity like a birthday, bike ride, or a simple walk in the park.

Cons: Parking is stiff, the lake if full of algae, or look green, and not a good place to fish.

I love it, highly recomended! Come early to be able to visit every single part of the garden. I was truly amazed of the beauty and pure air you can breath here.

Great place. You can’t use a blanket to sit on the grass, unfortunately. Only you can seat on the bench

Lovely gardens and beautifully tended. 3 hours was not enough! I went on a very hot day but the shade and woodland gardens provided a great respite from the heat.

So peaceful. Packed a lunch and took my 3 and 4 year toddlers. They loved it. They were able to run around the grass and get their energy out. And they loved the herb and vegetable garden.

Lovely.even on a 90+ degree day. It's not a place to visit in one shot due to 50+ acres of lush green space. The Japanese garden lake is a sight. The Herb and Rock Gardens are delightful. Will definitely be back to see the other side of garden.

A beautiful place that is well worth a visit even with many exhibits closed due to the pandemic.

Grounds are extremely well kept and staff is very friendly. Even with about 30% of the grounds closed there is still ample to see and do. Great for families, solo or with a group. I visited during the peak of summer and the grounds were alive with countless flowers, trees and plants.

Beware on hot days as many of the areas are in the open and a bringing water and an umbrella is highly recommended, as exhaustion can set in rather quickly.

Gift shop/ plant store has many unique items that is way above average for a gift shop.

Cafe was closed so this may lead to cutting your visit shorter if you were planning on eating while there. This may be temporary due to the pandemic/ various factors.

Went on a weekday, was very empty. Park is very beautiful and has a beautiful koi pond. Prices weren’t too bad you can get a discount if you are a nyc resident. There is also free tickets that are limited known as community tickets.
