Best academy in Long Island, I’m so glad I choose this one to get my cosmetology license! Now I’m a salon owner and I hope I can help lot of new artists.

I am currently an esthetician student at Brittany and I am proud to say I’m a student there. As an educator myself, I am very particular about what I consider to be effective teaching. Miss Olivia has gone above and beyond to make sure her students understand the content and experience hands on learning. Her kindness and personality make learning fun! I highly recommend Brittany to anyone looking to enter into the beauty industry. I’m excited to see what awaits me as I continue the second half of my journey here with Miss Veronica. She has already taken the initiative to show our class demonstrations on what’s to come! My experience has exceeded my expectations and I look forward to learning everything they have to offer me to become successful and fulfill my dream of becoming an esthetician.

This school is the best! I took the nail tech class with Miss Bernadette and the makeup class with Miss Priscilla. They are both amazing and I learned so much from both of them and made some good friends as well. Also you can’t beat the location, nice big parking lot and lots of places to eat lunch before or after classes. Highly recommended!

My experience at Brittany Beauty Academy has been full of enjoyable learning and growth. All of the teachers and staff here are wonderful and welcoming and really add there own spice into sharing there knowledge with us. I enrolled in the makeup artistry course. I went in a beginner to makeup techniques, practice, and theory and emerged a competent artist in the trade. The teachers, staff and other students were all so nice and welcoming during my time learning. I highly recommend this program and this institution.

Thankful for Ms. P not only was she helpful during class she never failed to be helpful outside of class or even after graduating from Brittany. It’s clear she has a passion for this

School is horrible don’t waste your time or money I’m about to get a lawyer my daughter goes here im very unsatisfied period

Please, please, please. Do not waste your money going to this school. The instructors are unprofessional, the equipment barely works, and the building is falling apart. I can only speak to the esthetic instructors. They talk about each other and the students constantly. While in theory the teacher reads the the text book word for word, teaches nothing and then spends the rest of the day talking about herself, political opinions and the other instructors and students. I don't know how the building is up to code. The electric in the senior room is completely rigged. There's one outlet that works, and extention cords taped up everywhere. If more then one steamer is going at a time, then the fuse blows and everything goes out. They supply you with nothing! Be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars more on top of your tuition. You have to buy every single thing, and probably multiple times, because no one knows what's going on and everyone tells you to buy something different. The senior teachers are more competent and knowledgeable. But be prepared to relearn everything, because everything you learn in theory is wrong. I could go on and on.
Please look Into other schools before considering going here. It's a lot of money you will be spending, you want to make sure you get the best possible education you can.

I graduated from this school two years ago, and had an amazing experience. I had an great relationship with my teachers, peers and got to watch demos every week from successful salon owners. I am still in contact with the staff, who still reach out to me and keep me posted about new job opportunities. Highly recommended!

I've been going to Brittany Beauty School for many years. The teachers, students and staff are very professional and friendly. The owner Gary and office staff are wonderful too. I always receive compliments on what they have done, color, cut, wash and blow out. I highly recommend this place.

If I could give this place zero stars I truly will. Everyone should RUN not walk away from this school. Where do I even begin. The school lacks professionalism staff members openly talking about other staff members to students, none of the equipment works, we are told not to use the sheets the school provides instead we bring our own sheets or won’t get credit for the day. All Donna Marie and Gary care about are money. I’ve never met more money hungry people in my entire life. It’s all a scam. If you don’t closely watch your hours they screw your over and try to make you pay out of pocket. If you apply for student loans or financial aid they ask for more then what the tuition is and then try to keep the rest of the money. They don’t care about your education you literally don’t learn a single thing. This school is disgrace. Unsanitary. The bathrooms are constantly dirty never cleaned. The roof looks like it’s falling apart. Steamers burn clients. We are suppose to be a dermalogica partnered school and literally only once has a dermalogica rep come by and to get the student code is mission impossible. Not a single staff member knows a single thing. This school should be shut down. No reason enrollment is at its lowest. It’s a legit free for all. If you actually want to learn DONT GO HERE.it’s shameful how poorly ran this building is. I wish I never went there and I will let everyone that wants to go to beauty school know to take their money somewhere else. WHAT A DISGRACE!

My experience at Brittany Beauty Academy’s Esthetics program was amazing because of the dedication from my teachers Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Eirene, Ms. Natesha and Ms. Anna! They truly care about every student preparing us for our state boards and our future careers.

I came to Brittany Beauty Academy for their Waxing program. If I could give an honest review I would say 9/10. The organization is wonderful and cleanliness. The teacher Miss Natesha is a phenomenal instructor in both theory and the hands on portion. If I could do it all over again I would pick this school based off of the amazing experience. I am honestly thinking about taking the esthetics course.

I loved my experience at Brittany Beauty Academy in Levittown NY! Being in the beauty industry for over 20 years I thought I knew all I needed to have a successful career until I started going to Brittany beauty Academy! I learned so much more than I expected and it filled in all the gaps in every area! Just what I needed to bring my career to the next level. I loved my teachers and Mr. Gary and Miss Regina were so understanding and always made me feel so welcomed!
Everyone goes into things with a different attitude and perspective. I know from experience you get what you put it in! If you go in and take your career seriously than you will get the results you desire!

I went there in 2009 and the experience was horrible! Miss jay started spreading rumors about me and she didn't even know anything about me. Miss deb played favorites and would put me down because my hair wasn't in good health and she used me as a demonstration by comparing my hair to some other girl's hair that was in better condition in such a rude way. It was embarrassing. Plus every time a new person came in to her class she'd tell everyone over and over about her deceased son and cry about it. When I first heard about her son, I felt bad for her until I realized that it seemed like she was doing it for attention since she would always tell the story over and over to the new students. I paid to learn about hair.not about my teacher's life and the attention she craves. Even my cousin who went to this place said it was terrible. Waste of my money and time. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody!

I find the staff very accommodating. The room for facials is private with a nice atmosphere.

School was really good great classes and teachers worth every dollar they really make sure you get it! & work with you to make your graduation date!

My experience here at Brittany Beauty Academy has been great. Ms. Kathy and Ms. Cynthia really take their time to explain things thoroughly to all the students. They taught me everything I need to know in order to become a great cosmetologist. The teachers are all nice and friendly to their students. I’ve recently completed my 600hr Esthetics course at BBAs levittown location. I loved my teachers and experience. My teachers Ms. Eirene, Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Ana and Ms. Natesha were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. They’ll work with you until you’re confident with the learning material and they genuinely care about their students!

How are your teachers teaching people to cut someone's whole head with thinning sheers? I went to a new salon in Bellmore and I don't know why I didn't walk out. I was in QBI in Jamaica 1968 and we Never cut hair with thinning sheers. We thinned out the hair, by twisting the hair underneath. But I don't know what these people learn. I will go on cutting my own hair.

I took the esthetics program last may, graduated November 2021. This school was ok. Teachers were hot and cold. Only prepared you for state board. Would have liked to learn more real life stuff then just strictly state board. Defenitly a lot of favoritism between teachers and students which made it uncomfortable for me to come to school everyday. Defenitly over priced.zoom was 3-4 days a week (which is understandable due to covid) but all we did was watch videos from 9: 15-2: 45 very hard to stay focused and interested. Very greatful for my experience there & all the wonderful ladies I met, but this school def needs to work on a lot of things.

10/10 would recommend this school to those who are serious about cosmetology or esthetics as a profession. You get out of this school what you put in! The instructors will ensure you are properly set up for your stateboard exams once you graduate. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn even more hands on techniques that will transfer over into your work. Ms Cynthia, Mr V, Ms Flor, and Ms Kathy genuinely want their students to succeed and I am grateful for all that they’ve taught me!

I graduated Brittany beauty academy a month ago as an esthetician.and I had an amazing experience! My teachers were so helpful, caring, and really nice to everyone. Ms. Eirene, Mrs. Priscilla, and Ms. Anna are phenomenal, caring, understanding, and supportive. They are great teachers that will 100% do everything in their power to make sure you succeed while being caring and supportive. Mr. Gary our principle goes above and beyond to make sure to make sure you have all the tools, extra knowledge, and confidence to succeed when leaving his school principle. This school really helped pave the path to begin my career as a confident esthetician. You’ll have a positive experience while attending this school. If you ever have a situation they will always work with you! Enjoy!

The Cosmetology program is not only an educational experience, it's a lot of fun. The teachers and administration truly want you to succeed and will go to the ends of the earth to make it happen. No matter if your circumstances change, they work with you and truly hold your hand through the entire process. It is a life-changing experience and one that I will cherish forever.

I recently graduated from Brittney and I must say I had a good experience despite Covid. I feel the school prepares you well for state board and also gives so much more. Such as, learning advanced treatments, learning about different professional brands etc. Glad I came to Brittney.

Absolutely love this school. I am so glad that, I made a choice to take a chance to change my life. The teachers Ms. Cynthia, Mrs. Doll, Mrs Deb and Mr. Vee were highly exceptional, I learned so much from being there. I took the state test once and passed. Thank you to the owner Mr. Gary for giving entrepreneurs and dreamers a place to enhance their skills to become the best version of themselves.

My journey at Brittany beauty has by far been the most amazing challenge! The dedication of both instructors & directer is beyond, not only do they make sure we are completely ready for state board but also for the real salon industry. I graduated from Brittany beauty school in December and just passed both tests. The teachers prepared me very well for the practical and written exams. Gary and his team will assist you with everything from starting school to graduating and finding a job. This was also a second career for me and being older, I was made to feel very comfortable. I am thankful to everyone there for my experience.

After attending a BOCES program for two years and obtaining my 1,000 hours, I was interested in taking the "refresher course" at Brittany due to their raving reviews. Upon speaking with Gary on the phone, I was told payment was cash only, and to come in for an evaluation priced at 150$. I was told the person giving the evaluation was Mr. Vincent. This evaluation consisted of me coming in at 10 AM, being put in a corner away from all of the students, and given a total of 3 minutes with Mr. Vincent at most. He came over to my station one time, and disappeared for the rest of the day. I was there until 1 pm with little to no attention given to me, and made the executive decision to pack my things up and leave, because of the extreme unprofessionalism. When I notified an instructor I was leaving she told me "i would need to come back for an evaluation and have someone stand over me to watch". Now I thought that is what I came in to do on this day? I went home and told my mother the situation, and as she was the one who payed for it, she wanted to call for a refund. She calls Gary and he immediately begins yelling at her and talking over her. Long story short he agrees to the refund. Overall I was so disappointed in this experience, and I urge anyone thinking about taking their refresher course to not do so. I have never seen such unprofessionalism and complete disregard for someone paying money for a service.

So I’m not sure of my review posted so I just have to write another and express how grateful I am for going to the school it has taught me so much and it gave me a chance to pursue my education in cosmetology the teachers are also understanding and motivated to help and educate their students and set them up for a successful future. With graduating in a month I feel confident in passing my state board exam. The director is amazing and works with his student to complete a comfortable schedule. Highly recommend Brittany Beauty Academy!

they offer you a duffel bag of dermologica products upcharged from ($300 online) to $700.teachers are hit or miss, some a great, some lack people skills all together.when you leave and "graduate" you walk out with nothing.no instructions on how to get ur license until almost 3 weeks after.theres a special FEE for every little thing, the school isnt worth it.over 10k, 6 months, 600 hours, nothing to show for it

If I Could Give A 0 I Would. Mr Gary is Money Hunger And cheap the up keep of the school is very poor there have been several outbreaks and the school is only closed when complaints are put in. The teachers don’t care to teach anything other than state board and fight and bickering not only amongst themselves but with the students. The ethics of this place is a joke and they need to be closed down.

I am so glad I chose to attend Brittnay Beauty Academy. The Staff is great and the people are so much fun. Im having a great learning experience and am glad I am taking my profession and future career to the next level here.

My experience through the esthetics program has been great. Even through the pandemic the teachers and staff at BBA have been nothing but exceptional. Ms Eirene and Ms P- AMAZING teachers. They really work with students on a personal and academic level. I appreciate all the help and knowledge in this field. They really went out of their way to make sure every student understands the intricacies of esthetics.

As a student who attends Brittany I can say that this school is disgusting. There was a covid outbreak last week in esthetics and no one was told about it until, putting us all at risk. Though we may not be in the same classroom as them, we do share lots of things in the building making it very possible to catch covid from them. There was another outbreak in the cosmo department yesterday making us all leave, except for the students working on clients. They didn't even tell the clients what was going on, leaving them at risk and risk spreading it to more people. There are teachers who only wear face shields, no mask. They do not properly clean the place and we are not socially distanced. As a person who lives with people who cannot get vaccinated, it's very scary. I could have spread it to the young children in my family and elderly grandmother. Mr. Gary will not let us make up hours on zoom which I find to be very unfair, this will then force us to pay him more money for overtime.which I'm sure is exactly what he wants us to do. He also lets his wife walk around the place without a mask, and only recently started to wear one. This school is disgusting for not informing us about these covid related cases. They not only put us at risk but also put every client at risk. Lots of our clients are elderly people who can not get vaccinated for health reasons. Please do not come to Brittany for an education or to get your hair done because they simply don't care about the students or clients.

I have tried to keep a positive attitude about this school, but the past 8 months truly have been a poor experience. I think this school needs better structure. There are some teachers that are wonderful and you can see that they are trying their best to teach us as much as possible and help us in any way, but not all teachers at this school seem to be qualified to teach.

Again, the structure and education is poor considering the amount of money that is being paid. Equipment is old, broken and not enough for the amount of students. There is poor communication and direction from the school. I am currently enrolled and supposed to graduate and I can confidently say that I haven't learned anything.

I regret my decision to come here, but had to do it because of the convenience of location and the night hours. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this school to anyone and wish I could transfer elsewhere.

Please do your research on schools THOROUGHLY before you make a decision.

Went in for a cut and color. Came out with my hair uneven and the texture could only be compared to a brillo pad! She had no idea what she was doing and the teacher was too busy to come over and help despite how many times she asked! If you like your hair DO NOT GO HERE!

Currently a student at Brittany Beauty Academy. I have learned so much within the 5 months I been here. Mr. Gary is a really great director, he's helped me and my classmates feel comforable here. The teachers have taught me so much, and taught me new techniques that will help me succeed as a succesful cosmetologist. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone.:)

If you join Brittany Beauty for Esthetics check out Ms Olivia’s night class she is the best! Over 30 years of experience in the field and a state board proctor. She is extremely knowledgeable and went out of her way to educate us on things that weren’t even included in the curriculum.she bought things into class with her own money just to make things more fun and insightful. Best part of my experience at that school was having Ms Olivia. She works very hard to make sure you succeed, pass your practicals and class exams. She genuinely cares for her students. NOW About the school itself. Honestly in my opinion it’s not worth the money you pay for tuition which is Over 10k and that’s due to the curriculum itself and what they include in the esthetics kit which cost $750 bucks. The kit is bad you get about 10 dermalogica products.makeup that kids should play with.straight trash.and a couple esthetics tools for extractions. Every one that has paid for it has complained! Not a soul has been satisfied with that kit. After completing 6 months of theory you become a senior at that point there is absolutely no curriculum.no real substance just study or work on each other and that I didn’t like at all. As advance as the school gets is the one microdermabrasion machine we have. For 10 k this curriculum needs to be better.

First off, 5 stars is NOT enough! I would like to start out by saying that Brittany Beauty Academy has changed my life, and ALL for the better! I am 27 years old and finally gave myself that motivation to go back to school. Knowing that I would be able to start my DREAM career after I graduate, enhanced my excitement and I could not wait for my first day. I was kindly greeted and welcomed by EVERY teacher of BBA, even all of the office staff (which whom helped me emmensely in the application process). I am graduating in about a month and I am almost sad to leave because of the AMAZING EXPERIENCE that I have had here so far. Transferred here from Trinity down the block and soooo glad that I did.if i could do it over i would have started at this school from the beginning.in each unit we learn a part of what is expected when taking the stateboard exam, oppose to learning everything stateboard requires 2 months prior to graduating.we get to watch tons of demos from salon owners and master artists, i truly enjoyed my beauty school experience at BBA! Miss Donna, Miss Flor, and Miss Doll will all hold a special place in my heart, THEY ARE AMAZING!

I graduated from the esthetics progam 2 months ago and overall had the best experience there I was taught by hands down the most inspiring and amazing Ms. Priscilla. She makes leaning fun and educational. She relly loves what she does. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be so far in my career. ️

My experience at Brittany Beauty Academy in Levittown was absolutely horrendous. I went for a basic facial & blow out, I was highly disturbed by the unsanitary and tense atmosphere. As I went to the back room for my facial I over heard an old blonde lady scolding students in front of everyone which to me was unprofessional and distasteful. Once I went in for my facial the sheets were stained, filled with hair, when I asked her another set of sheets they were just as filthy. The girls that did my services were amazing yet I feel bad for those young women. Although they didn't seem very happy. Im a cosmetologist myself, I know what a salon environment should look like and Brittany Beauty Academy isn't that! I hope this school improves. I wouldn't recommend getting a service done until that happens.

Ms Priscilla is a wonderful teacher, persin and is a huge asset to Brittany. The curriculum is good and altogether I had a good experience there.

I just graduated recently from Brittany Beauty, my experience there was amazing due to Miss Oliva. One of the most knowledgeable and personable teachers to work with. School it self I wish would offer more certifications for classes rather then having to go to another school for those extras.however I recommended a few people to take the night class with specifically Mrs Olivia she has been there for every question, concern and need I would have and is has been very patient and fun as a teacher. It was also nice building a proffesional relationship with her as someone I can rely on as she as proven time after time.:)
