I had a great experience buying, and can now say that the service department is FANTASTIC! The service person went above and beyond to get me back on the road (a minor issue that was my fault, not the fault of the vehicle) - now a customer for life.

Everyone from the sales consultant, finance manager and general manager were professional and made the deal go smooth. I was waiting for my Chevy Trax to land at another store they got it in and prepped and ready for delivery before I went out of town the next day.

Drove 2 hrs to get a vehicle i asked about it rust wise nope good to go zero rust get up there and sure enough filled with it tried to deal with them nope were in business to make money (darrell) the salesmans exact words. I would not reccomend going here

The sales person didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about the options I was looking at. I would rate the follow up poor. I have a new truck ordered at Bob Johnson in Leroy, NY. It's been on order for five months and is still preliminary. Not happy about that either.

I talked to Tim about our lease ending on our truck he found us another truck my wife and I went there yesterday and filled all the PaperWorks out and he was very professional kind and John he helped us out on the finance part of it and he was very nice also soon as we walked in the show room everybody was very professional and kind.this was our first time we leas a vehicle from Bob Johnson Leroy we went to another Chevy dealer for 30 years and we’re happy that we made the change. Also for the extra stuff we have put on the truck they are going to have it ready for us on Saturday. So that being said thank you very much from my wife and I

I took in my 2023 GMC 3500 for a front end clunking issue and not only did they not help me whatsoever but shortly after I realized a small dent in my driver door. The truck has 700 miles on it, scumbags.

Absolutely horrible customer service in the maintenance department. Dan in maintenance wouldn't call the Fidelity Warranty telephone number to check that we had a tire package. I called and got all the information in less that 10 minutes and only needed the VIN plate information. I'm assuming Dan in maintenance just wanted everything handed to him so he didn't have to do the work. He stated "when we look up these companies we dont know which one to call" I asked if he bothered to call either of the numbers I had provided to which he replied "yes both". While speaking with Fidelity they stated they hadnt received a call from Le Roy NY recently. If I could have given this dealship maintenance area a zero I would have.

Edited to add:
After several weeks they called us to let us know they ordered the tire for my truck and we could schedule ANOTHER appointment. We did so and the day came again to finally have the tire replaced. The truck was brought to the shop and dropped off at 2pm. By 430 nothing had been done. When I inquired about the service being done they stated "nobody ever gave us the 800 number to call for the warranty" (please see above where they said they called already). I informed Ken I had given 2 numbers to Dan to call which they denied. Ken then stated that they couldn't do the service because they "had to order the tire" again see above about them calling us because they ordered the tire and to make a new appt. During all of this I spoke with another person on the phone who stated to me and I quote "maam it's 430 I don't have time to deal with this" Poorest customer service I've dealt with in a very long time.

Tim Hodge is the best, we looked at ordering a vehicle the test drove 2 different ones on the lot. He took his time with me and I never felt rushed or pushed into something I didn’t want. I purchased a beautiful Sierra 1500. Thank you

My 2021 Silverado continues t have transmission issues. I have brought to the dealership twice and both times they claim the engine is the issue. The first trip the said the engine was misfiring and needed a new spark plug and coil. I don’t know if this is true, I believe the issues are coming from the transmission slipping. The second time the service tech, Aaron, stated they engine light was was on because of “old codes”. This does not make sense considering they truck was in less than week ago. How old could the codes be? Furthermore, the transmission is still slipping and the truck shakes often while driving especially when shifting gears. If the chalking persists placing the vehicle into neutral stops the shaking. Bob Johnson continues to be useless with their “assistance”.

I'm very disappointed in the customer services at this location and with Tim. My grandmother was referred to Tim by a very good friend, we called him for a week straight left voicemails with no return call. He called back finally and apologized, proceeded to tell my grandmother he would run her information and get back to her. Come to find out he didn't gather any information from her, that he would need to run. My grandmother waited for days for a call back for a car he spoke with her about, STILL to this day no call back! DO NOT WORRY TIM AND BOB JOHNSON, she went somewhere else and had great service, I know we are nothing but a number, but have some dignity!

Shane Hogan was absolutely great when purchasing my 2022 Colorado. He was extremely good at explaining everything and very patient with my questions. Alex Lipinski the finance manager was wonderful and very helpful. Kevin O'Brien the new sales manager is awesome and easy to talk to. I highly recommend this dealership!

Our sales representative (Tim Hodgins) was genuinely courteous, professional throughout. He worked to get us a reservation in May 2022 on a 2022 Chevy Equinox and maintained constant communications to update status. Our family patiently waited roughly 2.5 months and eventually took delivery of our new vehicle in August 2022 and the delivery process was smooth/efficient. We have been a loyal customer of Bob Johnson's in Leroy NY and will continue for years to come. Please extend our thanks to Tim and his staff - Keep up the great work!

Bought a used 2016 Chevy Silverado from them in November of 2020, cab corners were all dented. Frame started rusting bad, inside doors and wheel wells started rusting as well. Paid $2,500 to have that work done and now my paint is bubbling in the cab corner and frame rust getting worse. I wash the thing religiously and take good care of my vehicles. I’ve literally put 10,000 miles on it since I owned it and barely drive it in snow because I use my work car.

This review specifically refers to our recent dealings with the manager at this dealership. We decided to sell back our 2012 Buick LaCrosse as it no longer fits our entire family. After getting in touch with a sales rep - Dustin (who seems very helpful and on top of things - nothing negative that transpired was his fault), my wife sent over a number of detailed photos of the car and we were offered $7500 for it verbally. Frankly this is less than it’s worth, this car with similar mileage is being sold for about 12 grand at dealers in our area, but there is part of the passenger side that is scraped up and obviously we’re sacrificing some money for what should’ve been the convenience of selling back to the dealer. Today (7/13), we bring in the car to sell back. Mind you we also brought along our four small children. So after taking some time with our car, the manager comes in and tells us he can only give us four grand for it (this is less than what is still owed on the vehicle), that he couldn’t “blow up” the pictures we sent (um what?) and couldn’t tell that there was damage to the car (it was clearly visible in the pictures because we obviously wanted an accurate quote). He tells us that it will require $3500 in body work (definitely not true, I’m getting bodywork done on our other car and it wouldn’t be anywhere near that). Again, this is for a mechanically sound car that is currently selling at dealers in our area for $12,000. So we essentially wasted 2+ hours of our life dragging our kids to a dealership just to be bs’d and lowballed. I try to stay away from dealerships in general, but this was probably the most outrageous attempt at highway robbery I’ve experienced at one.

This is my 3rd lease car and Daryl Griswold is a wonderful Gentlemen he always gets what you want. I would have anyone looking for a car go to Daryl. When decided to retire they are going to lose a wonderful salesmen.

Beware the service department does not do what you paid for. Had oil change and tire rotation done September 2021. Had low tire pressure warning today, Nov 29, for front driver but it was rear driver that was almost totally flat. They did rotation but never re-taught system for new tire location. Makes me wonder if they even changed the oil. You just can’t trust a dealership that charges you but doesn’t do the work. Beware!

Zero stars. After many attepts to fix an oil leak from intake gasket. Heather tries to say manifold is warped. Tech says otherwise.when was taken back to look at parts she couldn't even get the right location of the leak. Took pictures and asked another gm tech at another facility. He says where is the silicone.hmmm gm tech says gm doesnt recommend any more silicone than a minor drop. Not gonna seal.so after i recommend they add more we shall see. Been without vehicle for a better part of 2 weeks. Hopefully it will be sealed according to myself and several other techs and a professional engine builder to add more silicone. Not happy with the shady things they say.

Made oil change appt. For 85 yr. Old moms, 10,000 mile leased vehicle. Proud of mom for remembering appt. And getting it done. Joy turned to anger when seeing the 236 $ invoice, seems they thought she needed a front end alignment (abnormal tire wear?) Mom putts around about 45mph tops and 5k a year, there is either something wrong with Buick or the Buick dealership. Mom will only pay for oil change next time. Guaranteed!

I went to Bob Johnson in LeRoy NY and my experience was phenomenal! I worked with Tim Hodge and he was so great he let me pick the car I wanted he explained everything to me so I understood everything and he made the whole experience very pleasant! Super nice sales staff, 0 pressure, just tossed me the keys and gave me a plate and told me to take the vehicle I wanted to test drive out for as long as I needed. Gave me a figure to take to my credit union, shook my hand and let me go on my way. I wish all dealerships were like this!

Shane Hogan in Leroy made the whole vehicle buying experience super easy and comfortable for me and my wife. He listened to what my wife said she needed in a vehicle, while also listening to what I wanted in features and vehicle capabilities. He was awesome to work with, made the paperwork easy, and got us into the perfect vehicle the same day. Definitely would recommend getting a vehicle here! We actually plan on going back to Shane next year when we get ready to replace our second vehicle.

Bought a 2016 GMC terran and i had to bring it back 2 times with in the first month i'v owned it. The sun roof leaked all in the car and created a bad mold and mildew all over my car. Still waiting for them to fix it.

Had my car one month without giving me any updates. Took one month to decide motor needed replacing (only 7,000 miles on it!). Told me new Moyer would take 2 weeks to arrive. Another dealer said they could have one in 3 to 5 days. They do not return calls. Have trouble trusting their word now.
