If you want to go to a good blink fitness franchise, please choose any gym other than this. This gym is consistently packed but barely has any good equipment. A good portion of their equipment tends to be broken a lot. And I don't understand why they try to cut corners when it's obviously the only gym people use in this neighborhood. They haven't had disinfected wipes for almost 2 years. They used to have a unlabeled spray that people would clean the equipment with. But now we're using grout and tile cleaner. And this makes me wonder; will I get a rash at some point? Does this even kill major viruses? (Meningitis, strep, Corona, even MRSA) This isn't even a disinfectant spray. Is their bottom line hurting this much that they need to cut corners like this. I begrudgingly come here occasionally because it's the closest gym from my job. But it isn't worth the cost and the effort to come here if you don't live walking distance. The staff is cool and they clean regularly. But even in spite of this the gym still is sometimes dirty or in disarray with weights everywhere. There was a point in time when I used a shower at the gym, but for a while there was insanely low water pressure and no hot water whatsoever. This gym is waaaaay too busy and waaaaay too packed to justify the way they basically try to skimp everything to save money. At least give us proper disinfectant wipes, It's been way too long for us to just be using spray bottles after almost 2 years if not more. Don't come here unless you have no other options

I am currently at the gym ive been waiting for 30 mine from 5am to 5: 30am and theres no employee available to open the gym even though its supposed to be open at 5am theres a line of people waiting and the gym is not open.

Not a great gym experience the machines are always broken with no warning not kept clean dirty tissues will be left around the place and the staff keeps calling to set up personnel training sessions when I explained multiple times I was not interested I would definitely try another place this gym isn’t it

The staff is friendly and helpful, but the gym is showing wear and tear. It wasn't as busy as i remember it to be before. Still good.

Echoing the sentiments of other reviewers, this gym is undeniably a place to steer clear of. Its numerous issues and glaring lack of maintenance create an environment that is far from conducive to a positive fitness journey.

It's genuinely disheartening to witness a consistent cycle of broken equipment week after week. The treadmill debacle, as highlighted by others, is nothing short of exasperating. Over three-quarters of the treadmills are in a state of disrepair. The incline do not even work, some of them are literally on life support and sound like they are literally about to fall apart with every step, for some of them the speed is inaccurate. One leg equipment has been literally out of service for months. There isn't even enough bars for adding plates. Every since one of them has been taken out from the deadlift section, people take the bar from the bench to do deadlifts. So now if you decide to do bench you will find a bench with no bars. The list of complaints for the condition of the equipment's is endless.

The list of grievances regarding the condition of the equipment feels never-ending. The gym boasts a considerable customer base, making it perplexing as to why the upkeep of the equipment remains so egregiously poor. It's especially frustrating given the exorbitant annual fees we are required to pay.

If anyone is thinking of signing up to this place, you will be better off signing up to other gyms. I already know Blink is gonna respond to this review just like the other ones with regards to the poor condition of this facility with "thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Blink Ozone Park! We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve! "

All I can say is they will likely take another few months to fix one equipment at a time considering they send out one technician once in a blue moon. If they had some common sense they could easily close the gym for one week and service all the equipment's with the yearly maintenance fees.

If it's possible I would give this location a zero star. The staff is excellent and are always helpful. As for the condition of the gym equipments its deplorable. Numerous equipments are out of order literally every week. When I went today half the treadmills were broken and out of order a sharp increase from the past months. Out of the few that worked some of them are literally on life support, because when you start running on them they start making loud banging noise, some don't even go up to the set speed or incline. Which leaves maybe 4-5 fully functioning treadmill for the whole gym. With the rearrangement they made at the gym they can afford to buy and fit more strength training equipments. The wait time is horrendous since the gym is always packed. Out of all the Blink location this is by far the worst place in nyc. With the condition of the equipment's the wait time is much longer since people wait for the functioning ones. We pay a yearly maintenance fee, I wonder where this money goes if the condition of the equipments are subpar.

As for bathrooms it is much cleaner than earlier months. But I swear how hard is it to keep the soaps refilled. In the mens bathroom only one of the two dispensers work and only two of the three sinks work. I wonder if I have to start bringing in soap from home smh.

I just want to reiterate aside from the staff, the condition of this gym went down the toilet. The membership fee is no longer justifiable.

In Earlier times this gym use to be really good. The staffs are great but the facility is horrible now. More than half the treadmills don't work. The few that's working is holding on for dear life. It almost feels like while you're walking or running the machine will fall apart. The incline and speed on the machine isn't accurate and it remains at the same speed all the time.
Because there's just a few machine that's working, there is always a line of people waiting behind you to use the machine. That should not be the case. This location makes alot of money. Many many many people are going there and everyone is paying a fee to maintain the facility but it's far from being maintained. The hand sanitizer and soaps are empty. It is just not what it used to be. The more people joined, the more you'd think they would care for the facility. Horrible!

Been going to this gym for a little over a year now, the staff are always nice and helpful, but the biggest flaw this gym has is how often the equipment is broken. Honestly for such a small gym they can’t really afford to have anything down for long periods of time. I don’t mind paying an increase in membership for “maintenance”, however I do have an issue when the maintenance itself has gotten worse as the prices increase that’s just bad business.

If I could give a 0 or a negative star rating, I would. My 16 year old son signed up for a membership without parental consent and Blink never verified his age and I called to try to cancel it when I realized he did. Now they refuse to close his account that I am being held responsible for, WITHOUT MY CONSENT. When I called the branch, the manager was very rude and stated it wasn't their problem and was now mine and if I wanted to cancel his account, I would have to pay a cancelation fee. When I advised that he is a minor and that they have no consent on record and according to all of their online legal requirements, it is their liability to verify an adults age before allowing membership to be taken, the manager said, Well I'm very happy for you but he signed up and it's not my problem. Disgusting! I hope no-one ever chooses to use Blink and parents BEWARE if your kid is a kid and tries to do something dumb.they'll NEVER own up to their mistakes even if it is proven.

Needs new management and service the machines and benches. One day someone came in with crocs on to workout and the manager told the guy he can’t workout with that but he have other people and his employees working out barefoot

Decent & cheap gym. Usually always packed, a machine or two is usually down and never fixed for months, some people come here to hangout and hog a machine instead of working out, no sanitary/antibacterial wipes (have to manually spray towel and wipe down machine each time), etc.

It could be better since it's take a extra 25 dollars out in December.they should have move equipments to use in the like the long v bar.

This Blink needs to be bigger for the amount of people that go here. If you’re going in during normal human hours it’ll be a struggle. But it’s relatively clean.

Blink has become like planet fitness and the rest of gyms.it use to be a stand out gym but its standards have deteriorated tremendously.

Worst gym I’ve ever been to. Its always packed. There’s literally only one of each machine which is always in use or broken. Most of the locker handles are broken or bent so they’re not even usable. You can barely even workout because theres no space. Can’t think of one positive except that I can walk there. Truly terrible

Nice gym the staff are great the only complain is the members some of them would take a few sets of dumbbells and barbell hold it next to them when you ask are you using this one the answer yes in a little bit and my god some of the members need to take a shower before they come to the gym and they know who they are

Edit: a few weeks later and still HOT AS HELL in the upstairs weight area! Disappointing! Please fix!

Decent gym. Mediocre in cleanliness and machine availability. Half the treadmills are broken at any given time. Showers are sometimes skimpy on cold water.
One star because the heat seems to be on in the summer (upper level) and definitely no AC. I try to step outside for air and consistently notice that the inside air temp is exactly the same as outside! Please fix ASAP! Hard to breath in here!

Great place. A little crowded in the evening. Got a free personal training session. Tyson is great! Clean and plenty of equipment.

Gym is alright. Peak hours are a little rough. Employees are hit or miss with their attitude and helpfulness. I was frustrated recently after an employee told me I wouldn’t have to pay their annual maintenance fee this year after upgrading my membership in October. Long behold I was charged, and I was even charged a month earlier than last year. When I asked the same employee what had happened, we were pretty much chasing our tails as she couldn’t explain to me neither why she had told me they wouldn’t charge me this fee when they did, and why they had charged me a month earlier. I’m here until a more convenient gym crosses my path.

Please bring back the old staff. There is a young Hispanic looking girl she has highlights in her hair she is very rude at 11: 40 pm every night she start yelling gym will be close in 5 min, 5 min later she will turn the lights off. I hardly see this woman even see this woman help pack the weights there is one guy there actually doing all the work why is blink paying her is it to yell gym will be close in 5min by 11: 50 lights are off and she will keep on yelling go home gym has close.

Great gym, amazing people lift here! However the only flaw I see is the people who take a machine and sit there on the phone for mad long. Also people who just have really long conversations on the machine between sets. Just get it done so others can get in their workouts. Great staff and friendly atmosphere only negative is the one I stated above.

The Gym was clean with visible cleaners in sight. The equipment was old my running machine did its own thing every 15 steps of running ive not encountered before Overall for Blinks incentives it worked for me. Would've been 5 stars but for the old equipments.

It's a gym right. It not even a gym to be honest. It full of people groupies who take there time on the machine and doesn't share at all. On top of that. There people play around the gym and doesnt even taking it seriously. Just taking over mad space on the gym. However, they were a group of teenager taking over the bench press and literally leaving bunch of plates in the floor. There so many dumbells and plates on the floor. It's so messy. Can't they clean up themselves. It so Nasty. I pay my gym membership to work out and use different machine. Seeing alot of people that just hog and joke around the gym and doesn't take it serious no good. I rather go to Brooklyn where people actually take the gym seriously.

This gym is great, we would like a few different machines for example a hack squat machines. Overall the staff are great and gym is clean but we definitely need to work on some new machines!

I’ve been a member for over 3 yrs. The quality has gone down. There’s never any disinfecting wipes to clean the machines. It’s very unhygienic. Will be switching.

This Blink Fitness is way too small for this neighborhood. If you go at any time in the evening, you should expect to wait a very long time for any equipment, especially the racks and benches.

I started the gym in July. I explained to them that my job is very unpredictable and I get a little to short notice when I have to travel. They told me that when I'm ready to cancel it, just give them advance notice and they'll cancel it. Our company does projects all over the country. I'm currently upstate and I went in to the gym location to cancel my membership before I left. They told me that I couldn't enter the facility because I wasn't vaccinated and they told me that I have to do it online. I went online to do it and online said for me to call a number to cancel it. I called that number and they told me that they're not able to cancel it over the phone and for me to go back into the Gym. I went back to the gym and they told me that there's nothing they can do again from me to contact the 800 number. I contacted the 800 number and they told me that I need to send corporate a Cancellation letter.
LIKE REALLY? Why is it so hard to cancel it?
I LITERALLY just contacted the BBB.
After speaking with someone at The BBB, they pulled up the rating and told me that this gym has a reputation of doing this. They also mentioned that they have an " F rating " with the BBB.
I DEFINITELY would NOT Recommend joining this gym OR any BLINK gym, ESPECIALLY with the Cancellation RUN AROUND.

Stinky gym. Guests should shower and use deodorant. I don’t understand how people can be OK with smelling bad, it’s so offensive and nasty, you need an oxygen mask just to be able to work out and not smell the stink

Small gym an at 5am its nearly packed, now try to imagine how full it is during busy times. Gym is fine but would not recommend due to the small size and crazy amount of members.

Over crowded gym. Not enough equipments. The vibe in there isn’t good. I went in and just wanted to head home because of how crowded and messy the place was. The location was not good. It’s sort of in the middle of nowhere. The area around there was not clean and didn’t feel safe.

Dear all members in blink fitness be aware of your membership cancellation. I had my membership cancel about year ago and I just find out the a debt collector needs to collect $350 for not terminating my membership. Very disappointed with the poor service given.please everyone be aware when you guys finish the membership is not only cancel in the gym front desk but over the phone I hope no one has to experience this upsetting situation.

First time after years at a gym and it was taxing. The trainer was ok but I felt like ge pushed me too hard.

The equpiment need to be fixed.it takes time to be fixed.the service and team are very good and cool.i like the place.

This is an excellent gym. Staff is friendly and the overall cleanliness of the gym is great. There are disinfecting wipes throughout and it feels like a safe area to work out at. The other members are polite, keep to themselves and you get the vibe that everyone is there to better themselves and focus on them. Highly recommended!

Hey! My brother is deciding whether going to the why with me, my question is do you guys accept 13 year old girl going to the gym?

The worst customer service, I will never go to this location again, they treat customer like trash, and don't know how to handle situations, they make you feel unwelcome and there understanding level is poor. No customer service at all.

It's not a bad gym for the price, but it gets way too crowded. COVID has changed a lot worldwide, however, they space out the treadmills so there aren't people using 2 treadmills right next to each other because of COVID safety. However, most people come to use the treadmills whereas most people don't use ellipticals/bikes or the other cardio equipment they have. It should be reorganized so all treadmills can be utilized and remove some ellipticals/bikes since nobody uses it. Some people only use the treadmill to walk (something you can do for free outside), it makes no sense for people (who actually want to run) to wait.
Also, some employees are rude (you're not getting paid for customer service, but it wouldn't kill to say good morning). The original employees when this location first opened up were ALL amazing, these new ones seem like zombies.

I cancelled my plan with this gym and they are still charging me monthly, they dont pick up calls

The service is terrible, and the security measures are minimal, we are in a pandemic and many of its employees and clients without masks, COVID IS NOT A GAME!

Perfect gym, very clean, big, many machines, people are very nice, attention is #1, I like because people who exercise inspire you to return

It's usually full with wait times on all the machines, cables and benches. Location is really just good for locals. If you have to commute here, just join a different gym.

I have to agree with one of the previous posters that the staff for a while was not able to keep up with wipe demand, but it might also have something to do with guests taking 3,4 or more wipes to clean in one go. There could be also a couple more stations of wipes and hand sanitizer. Especially downstairs. All in all it's a nice neighborhood gym, but they need to update some of the older equipment as soon as they can otherwise guests will consider it in need of TLC. I have noticed attempts to make small improvements lately though.

This gym is so close to my house it’s so convenient, I have been a member since it’s open and I never had a regret, because of the pandemic I haven’t been going, but recently I start back I have to say who ever is in charge is doing a horrible job, Covid 19 is still here and this gym is not clean and it never have sanitizing wipes or germs killing wipes, the dispensers are always empty, the previous manager was the best now the new person does Seems to care.

This gym is close to my home so it’s convenient. However lately since reopening due to the pandemic they are times when there are no wipes. This gym use to be fun to go to and well upkeep when the old manger was there new management don’t see to really care from my point of view. Hopefully it changes because this gym is good for my neighborhood. The working staff are nice.

Granted it gets packed, the vibe is almost like everyone in the gym knows each other. It's a comfort gym. Granted it's not too much room, it's 6ft close enough to make a new friend.

Imposible to communicate with this gym, when you call they never pick up and answering machine always full. In a few occasions email the manager Alex Hall to cancel my membership, and they make it impossible tell you that you have to come in person to do, I guess they don’t realize we are going thru a pandemic where people are trying to avoid going to places if they don’t have to.after a few emails with Alex he told me that the membership was canceled, and a month later I get an email from a collection agency, I email alex again and he never responded.this absolutely ridiculous, avoid this gym!
