My friend Jana & I were in town for a special holiday event & decided to stop in for a drink & dinner at Billie joes.the food smelled so wonderful upon arrival & the dining area was beautiful, rustic & very relaxing. We both had the ribs which in my opinion are the best in the Hudson valley (5 stars!). Our server Victoria was very attentive, courteous, speedy & professional. Such a friendly server, as well as the bartender. 5 stars for food, service & atmosphere! Looking forward to returning this summer so I can have a birthday party for my husband out on the deck overlooking the gorgeous Hudson River! Happy holidays Billie joes! Cool spot to go line dancing on every Tuesday food was ok for my taste had a Philly and mac & cheese bites wasn’t crazy about those the bread on the Philly fell apart on me they could of maybe toasted the bread but it wasn’t horrible didn’t try any of there bbq next time I go I will

Sunday at about 2 pm.
This place has beautiful waterfront views while dining outside. Very relaxed and comfortable vibe. The front staff and our waiter were professional and attentive to our needs. Unfortunately, this is where it ends. The food was average at best. I ordered the 2 handed burger Medium but was given a well-done burger. How hard is it to cook a burger Medium? Seriously, there is zero excuse. The fries were cold and seemed stale or old. The other people in my party ordered the ribs and were unimpressed. The ribs were dry. Not sure if the ribs are cooked earlier and sit around until they are ordered where they are then reheated again with some BBQ sauce.
I ordered a drink and when I received it the glass was cracked. The drink wasn't leaking but the cup was cracked down the middle. How many hands did that pass without anyone noticing? I would say about 4. Dishwasher, barback, bartender, and Waiter. The fifth person (me) noticed the broken cup.
Normally don't comment about a bathroom but this is an area that needs attention as well, especially on the weekend. The paper towel dispenser was open, paper towel rolls were on the sink counter that was full of water. The garbage can was overflowing. Makes you wonder about the condition of the kitchen if they can't maintain a Bathroom. (Maybe just how my brain thinks.)

If you're looking for a place to kick back for a few drinks with friends while enjoying the waterfront and views then this is the place. Maybe the appetizers are decent but can't say since I didn't have any.

Maybe my expectations were set too high based on some of these reviews but it's a 1 and done.

This place needs a food expeditor to ensure the quality of food being sent out.

Went once with my church group after service-we day outside overlooking the boats docked in the Hudson River. I thoroughly enjoyed the view, & the food was delicious, though I was a bit underwhelmed with my sides of mac & cheese and collared greens. But I will be back next summer, because the ambiance was magnificent!

We had a fantastic lunch at Billy Joe’s Ribworks during the week. The outdoor seating area overlooking the river is absolutely amazing, even on a windy day. We ordered ribs and brisket, along with some deep-fried pickles (although they were initially forgotten). The ribs and sides were delicious, and the brisket was tender and flavorful. The waitress was outstanding - friendly, with a great smile. Overall, it was a great meal with just a minor hiccup.

My personal experience had me wishing for food that tasted better overall. While some things were good, most of our order was just leaving me with a weird aftertaste. It's got a decent bar setup at least.

Waiter seemed a little spacey and forgot about us a couple of times. Food was good but definitely not the best BBQ I've had. Portions were generous. Had a great table just off the river.

What a disappointment. Giving 2 stars for the atmosphere and view of the place but I can't say the same for the lie and how they run this place. I called because I heard they had emo night I was told if you come before 9pm no cover charge I told them ok I'm bringing my daughter who is into emo. Got there at around 745 pm. Ate dinner with my friends and kids. Manager approached us around 930 telling us we have to go back outside to reenter to pay cover charge. I told him that is not what I was told when I called he said well we're charging cover charge for everyone. How ridiculous is that? Then when we went to pay the cover charge my daughter couldn't stay because she's 14 years old. I drove over an hour to bring my daughter here for the emo party. I thought this was a restaurant not a night club. I think I'm done coming here.

Great food, Great riverside view overall nice experience worth a visit. Food took a little long to be served, but otherwise five stars

Food was amazing! Definitely worth the 50 minute ride. Especially the staff and our waiter Ryan was the very best! Definitely coming back

Food took ong, bit I loved it! Grilled Chicken could have been more, bit it was delicious.

Location, location, location. Directly at the west bank of the Hudson River in Newburgh - you can see the (few) planes heading to and coming from SWF, watch the ships on the river, drink ice- cold local beer.
Food is okay and more than enough. A great place to stay for a while.
The ferry from Beacon docks only a few steps away, so you can come by train/boat and can drink and don't have to drive!

We were a party of 10 French people and we had so much fun at Billy Joe's! The music and the food were good, and our waitress for the night, Victoria, was an absolute sweetheart!

Great atmosphere and the food was delicious! I had the 14oz ribeye with their cheesy grits, sweet cornbread, and sweet potato fries. I tried a bite of my girlfriend's pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious!

When I saw they didn’t have collard greens on the menu I should’ve known the flavor would be lacking. Anyway, I had their Legend burger, which was okay, but not great. Loads of meat on it though. The corn bread was mid. Mac and cheese was very cheesy but didn’t have much flavor to it. I guess when you’ve had real southern food, it’s hard to compare.

Beautiful views, clean place, very busy and buzzy. Their food is delicious. Typical American cuisine with American portions without compromise on taste or quality. I’d recommend reservations on a weekend. Great for groups or a nice fun casual date.:) definitely a staple in the area.

Only complaint is the bathroom has no ventilation and the air vents are covered in dust.

I liked this place, its unique environment, and well decorated.
I would rate it higher if we were not one chicken wing short and beef brisket didn't have too much fat.

An accident audibly happened on the Newburgh Beacon Bridge while I was here and it was singlehandedly the most interesting thing that happened during the meal.

Great place to catch a bite, can be pricey. Great food, fun themed nights, kids day deals. Always a great atmosphere! Indoor and outdoor spaces.

My waiter Jay was the absolute best! He was attentive and made our experience here the best! The calamari was the best!
