B&H is the best! They sell amazing products, of course, but it's their sales and customer service that really make B&H great. If FedEx loses a package, B&H quickly resolves it, and will overnight you what you may need for free. I've been a customer for 10 years and will likely be one for life. Thanks B&H!
Please explain how it takes one hour to purchase the one thing and then when im handed the wrong thing. Having to return then wait again all for a 20$ item deff not returning to that headache. Of a mess
We bought a motherboard and CPU from B&H Photo and they both shipped together. Upon arrival we noticed that the box had been retaped on the bottom. We opened up the package and the CPU was nowhere to be found. We contacted B&H Photo who filed a claim with Fedex. It was denied the next day due them not packaging it securely enough. Again, we contacted B&H Photo and this time we were advised we wouldn't be getting our money back. Now we are out $422 until our bank charges them back. Will not be doing business with them again.
The only down side of purchasing from B&H is that I don't live closer to NYC so I could actually walk through the store. I only get there every few years and it's always a high point to my time in the city.
I've been using B&H since middle school and now I am in college getting my bachelors for digital cinematography. I have purchased nearly every single piece of gear through them. Without B&H so many independent filmmakers wouldn't be able to do what they love. This place is truly a god send and I couldn't be happier with my purchases. I recently picked up a Dragon-X 6k and its everything I could have dreamed of. Now I just need a case of DZO parafocal super35 lenses to go with it haha!
Just don't be buyin' on a Saturday or high holly holiday-but they got what you need. Period. To house this extensive inventory typically comes with a premium. Not so at B&H.
I remember when B and H was great for fast shipping and great customer service. Now they may be the worst in both departments. I've been waiting for my expedited package for over a week and have spent several phone calls and emails with B and H to find out I can't receive the package and I can't get a refund until FedEx returns it. It has been sitting at a FedEx facility for 5 days and they say the problem is B and H. You would think that B and H would issue a replacement or refund? Not after 3 hours of dealing with this today and I'm not sure what steps to take next.
Once they were many, now just one massive photo, electronics and computer floor. Filled with knowledgeable staff and somehow able to match internet prices. No trip to New York would be complete without a stop here.
B&H Camera is the BEST. It’s the one place I go to get good information from knowledgeable people. For those of us that live far from a camera store, B&H provides video chat and takes phone calls and really goes the extra mile to make sure you have exactly what you need in regards to camera gear. You can’t always get your detailed questions answered online.
I had a video chat with Lera and she was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She gave me all the information I needed to make a purchase decision!
Failed to send me the correct order and then tried to blame me for not returning the right order. Denied my $200 refund, -100/100. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND, there's a reason you've never heard of this scummy company before
Absolutely horrible company. They are crooked and extremely unethical and provide absolutely no assistance when there is an issue avoid this company at all expense, no matter where else you shop just don’t shop here these people are total dirtbag crooks
I buy from them all the time- computer equipment and supplies, photo equipment and supplies.website is fantastic, for me in nyc delivery is almost always the very next day.on the rare occasions items need to be returned, never a problem.oh, and best prices anywhere!
I spoke with a guy name Michael! Very polite and intelligent about camera equipment! Took the time to look up a couple of iteams for me! Give this man a raise the best camera customer service I’ve had in a long time!
I ordered camera from them which Fedex just left in the lobby, signed for me, and it got stolen minutes later based on the security camera review. B and H costumer service was very difficult to communicate to get this resolved in a timely fashion. I am spending significant amount of time to get my money back. Would not order from them again. Unless you pick up from their store directly, good luck dealing with them if you have such a situation.
I ordered a subwoofer on 9/3. As of 9/19 I still haven't received it. Fedex lost the first package, B&H eventually sent a replacement but with signature delivery. Like most people I work during the day and am not home during delivery times. Fedex won't let me reroute and B&H says I can pick up at Fedex Facility which is over 1 hour away and not open when I get off work. Poor experience, customer support doesn't care. Next time I'll stick with Amazon and ebay.
