Went to the Big Sip on Saturday the 7th. It was a rainy day and made the most of it considering the purchase of 2 75.00 entry tickets.
1st issue NO LIVE BAND as advertised. Yes it was raining but not a terrible rain more of a mist that would come and go.

2nd issue VENDORS were extremely stingy with the tastings.
Some would get annoyed if you returned for another sample. I feel this would have been different if we were able to purchase product on site but we decided to take pictures of the product and decide when we got home what we would like to purchase. This was our choice being that Bethel Woods choose to not allow any physical sales at the event.

3rd issue Food Vendors left extremely early about 3: 30 pm. Event was scheduled to end at 5: 00. Selection of vendors was limited and due to the poor weather they decided to leave and not honor their commitment to the event. Mind you this was not free to enter.

This was the first time attending the Big Sip and it will be the last. Local vineyards in the area are by far better prepared, friendly, and provide a far better experience for all ages.

I went to Bethel Woods for the Big Sip we purchased 2 day tickets for Sat.and Sun. October 7 and 8th 2023. We didn't go on Saturday because it was heavy rain and thunderstorms in the forecast. We went on Sunday, October 8th and it was a major disappointment. NO alcohol purchases at this event, Cashless vendors only and most of the wineries listed on their website were NOT there. We would've never gone there if we knew that we wouldn't be able to purchase anything. We left empty handed for the first time in over 10 years of going to this event. This is a new procedure at Bethel Woods you have to scan the QR code of a wine you want to purchase it then goes to a shopping cart of a distributor or such. The item is then sent to a liquor store in Fishkill. I called the store in Fishkill that is the store recommended or affiliated with Bethel, they do NOT have the items there. They order it for you then you either pick it up or they deliver the items to you. What a hassle! It was a terrible experience, the vendors weren't making any money, people were leaving without any wines and it was a minimal amount of people compared to years ago. BTW only two tents were available for tastings and the VIP area looked mostly empty. Also Ticketmaster offered us an upgrade to VIP for $30 extra per person a few days before the event so sales must have been poor for VIP. We will NEVER go back there, it's not worth it. There are other wine tasting events throughout the state for less money and no restrictions on purchasing.

Incredible property and concert venue. Simply the best outdoor concert venue I have been to. Great service and workers.

Awesome venue, clean, organized, friendly and great shows! Check out the museum at your own pace.

A must see for any classic rock fan. We were lucky enough to wander along with some 70 year old that was actually there. We got a very detailed view of the entire festival
09 September 2023 7:13
We went to the Rod Stewart/ Cheap Trick show. Waited in line to park, but access to the show was quick. The venue was clean even when crowded. The only downside was if you arrive later and have GA parking, it may be a bit of a walk. It's worth VIP/ Premier parking which is close to the entrance.
06 September 2023 1:41
It's one of my favorite venues, except for the fact it could take an hour to get to the parking area from the last mile.

It is hard to come with more superlatives than has been said before. If you have never been to the "original Woodstock", go now. If you visited before, come again soon!

Wonderful place and atmosphere. Staff amazing, friendly and helpful. Excellent sound system, musicians and events. They need to come up with an alternative to their very low lawn chairs. Season passes are great but us retired folks need a little higher chair.

Absolutely in the middle of no where but amazingly beautiful and well laid out. The buildings and amenities are top notch. Absolutely would love to go to another festival there, we will camp next time. P.s. VIP access is worth EVERY penny.

Bethel Woods was beautiful, spacious, natural, offered great seating, a clean atmosphere, plenty of rest rooms, and vendors for everything we forgot!
12 October 2021 5:51
Gorgeous venue, very loud if you're right outside the 'indoor' seating where the second speakers are. Lots of grass, simple layout.
06 October 2021 6:30
Haven't been there in awhile. Place definitely did alot of improving. Had better signal and the food and vendor set up changed which was great. Was there last night to see Jeff Dunham and had a blast. Got out of the parking lot after the show in less then 5 minutes. Wow

Absolutely Amazing time from when my wife and I got there until we left! We went to see The Zac Brown Band last night and what a great show. The two opening acts were really good as well. Gorgeous grounds, great prices on food and drinks! I’d give them ten stars if I could. We were greeted when we came in and left. No place I’ve ever been to has done that and that made us feel right at home! Thank you and we’ll definitely be back to see more shows at Bethel Woods!

Go. You won't be disappointed!

The museum and memorial is a must see. Actually was up there for a concert. Venue is great and exiting was a breeze. Hats off to the state troopers and workers for such a streamlined exiting
PNC and BB&T should ask them for tips.

A museum to put on your list!
If you’re a fan of this era and music, then you must go! The history of how that event came about and life changed, is such a great history lesson! Let’s follow each other on IG! @scotttymo

Beautiful facilities but horrible infrastructure. Bad traffic getting there & horrific traffic getting out. Took almost 2 hrs to get back to Resorts World Casino
09 September 2021 8:53
I tried to call because I wanted to ask about tickets
I called and it told me to press one for tickets I pressed one and it didn't work
Please fix the problem thanks

The museum was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. The staff was friendly and some of the volunteers were actually at the festival, which was a lovely surprise. We made our way to the monument where we were thrilled to meet and have our photos taken with Nick and Bobbi Ercoline. Honestly, that was the cherry on top! They've probably told their story a half million times since their photo ended up on the cover of the Woodstock album, but they were happy and gracious in telling us about their experience. Just a great day and we'll worth the trip!

Without a doubt Bethel Woods is one of the most beautiful places that you could see a concert at or any other events there. The way that is arranged you have good seating pretty much no matter where you sit of course Center & enclosure is always better. I have been at quite a few concerts here so far in the sound system is always on point. Trying to get there the traffic is insane. I suggest leaving an hour earlier then your GPS suggested for your destination on your arrival time unless you leave much earlier and check out everything they have the offer on the ground check out website for info. The traffic leaving is no picnic as well you think by now that they would add another Lane people are crazy to get out of here you see a lot of road rage people cutting in and out of traffic so they can get five cars ahead that makes a whole lot of sense what can I tell you you can't fix stupid. But overall if you're looking to see a concert Bethel Woods offers one of the best experiences hands down

A sense of peaceful calm hits me when I visit this place. Prices in the museum are ridiculous, but if you take a non-commercial visit, and are only looking to respect hallowed ground, it is worth a visit.
27 August 2021 22:51
This was are first, but not our last visit.
Based on recommendations from friends we purchased museum tickets along with concert tickets. The Museum is a must! Plan on two hours.
The staff/ volunteers were great with advice.
We purchased tasty sandwiches at the cafe and walked a bit around the immaculate grounds. Signs indicated that only clear bags would be allowed in to the concert. Quick trip to the car and I found a clear plastic bag.
We also discovered that you couldn't bring your own chair but rentals were available.
We start following a line to learn that it was for 'green room'. Tickets purchased and there are two large areas with bars, assorted menus, games (air hockey, pool, corn hole+) comfy open seating and easy access to restrooms. Two drinks are fine included with the purchase of a ticket. Designated driver tickets are available, for those not drinking. Jackpot!

Proceeding down to the venue, there was a wide variety of food assortment and beer sales (yes at concert prices)
Obtained chairs (they are short. If you are tall, ask for blue chairs) and found good seating.
There were more food and goods stalls and many clean bathrooms. Based on the food passing by, it looked good.

The show was great. Screens showed everything and we could see everything.
AND the volume was not at that painful ear level. Everyone was having a great time and kept the grounds clean.
We've already bought tickets to another show.

Perhaps, I missed the bag and chair information on their website. Somehow, I wish it had been right upfront.
Absolutely, if you are in the area, GO GO GO!

I went to see Zac Brown Band here and the show was great - the venue is beautiful as well - but I was unhappy with the chair rentals on the lawn being completely sold out when we arrived. This venue does not let you bring your own chairs, so you have to rent theirs if you want a chair, but they do not have nearly enough to accommodate people. We arrived well before the show started and the lawn was only partially full but they said that chair rentals were gone. Is it wrong to assume that a venue would have at least enough chairs to accommodate the lawn tickets that they sell? Or at least give a clear warning that chairs DO sell out and should always be reserved in advance? I came with my 70 y/o mom and we almost had to leave - she can't sit for 4 hours on the ground and we didn't bring a blanket, assuming we'd have chairs - but a nice woman sold us her chair rental so it ended up working out. The shortage of lawn chairs NEEDS to be clearly advertised!

Tourist trapIn my opinion, They should have left this site pristine, They destroyed a beautifulHistoric Site by putting these monstrous structures on itIt was supposed to bring in Revenue to Sullivan County, When all it did was pad the pocketsOf the owners
17 August 2021 11:29
Beautiful venue and awesome concert experience. My husband and I saw Chicago. It was crowded, but the venue was well managed. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
13 August 2021 12:16
Site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Great place to see a show! Lawn tickets are a bargain. Nice vendors! Shopping for tee shirts, food, memorabilia. Museum is also worth checking out. Enjoy!
10 August 2021 18:24
Absolutely beautiful place to see a concert!
Not very handicap friendly though. The bus drops you off at the bottom of the hill, near the stage area, which is fine if you have tickets for the seating near the stage. But not too good for general seating which is up on the hill. It would be a big improvement if Bethel Woods would start renting out electric carts for those of us who cant get around and would love to go about the area and visit all the sights.
We where there for the Woodstock 50 year Reunion and saw John Fogerty, it was awesome!
01 August 2021 18:07
Nice venue. Free parking is a bonus but be prepared to walk. 1st event after covid, amazed all in attendance were vaccinated due to no one wearing a mask. Chicago 6/10.
10 July 2021 15:41
Boycotting Bethel, shame on you! Requesting proof of vaccination for outdoor concert! I guess they made a lot of money during pandemic. Guess I won't be seeing any concerts there!
16 February 2021 12:57
Most boring light show I've ever watched. We drove 90 minutes there and the light show is only about 5 minutes drive, very little to see. I've been to many different light shows, such as the ocean city's winter fest and Hershey's sweet light. This one can't even compare to those! Not close! They have the audacity to charge $20 (I was charged $30 because I went there on Thanksgiving day) which is puzzling. I hate to say this but this is even worse than driving through my neighborhood and watch the christmas lights put on by the residents, and it cost nothing.
04 February 2021 14:19
Went to the Holiday fair! Alot less vendors, but I felt comfortable, masks and social distancing, fires going! Great way to get on the spirit!
23 January 2021 20:25
Went for the holiday light show which was wonderful! The food service was unorganized and unable to deal with delivering food to the customer that ordered and paid for it.
