I love it here, the fake snow is pretty good, the food at the cafeteria is good, but we usually bring our own and sit either outside by the fire pits or up at the lodge at the top of the lift to eat. The hills are all skill level friendly. Be warned though: it gets busy after 12 ANY day of the week.

A great way to spend a summer day hiking the slopes with my dog! The gondola is a bit expensive, $20pp up to the top but the views are worth it! Cornhole and beers at the bottom of the hike are a great way to wrap up the day!

Went to the car show and kinda expected more cars and vendors. It was well advertised but I think there was alot going on that weekend.

Nice place to visit. I went for the car show in the summer. Seems to be a good place for skiing in the winter

Nice venue for a trail race. (Disclaimer: didn't ski or try the food, but the atmosphere is nice, the area is clean and appears well maintained)

My family and I are visiting from the DC-Metro area and decided to bring our two young kiddos to Belleayre on a whim. We’ve never been before, but thought the beach and gondola sounded like fun. Not only did our family have SO MUCH fun, we were blown away by the incredible hospitality we experienced today. Kim, Raven, Gary, Travis, and Debbie were kind, efficient, friendly, and helpful. We just loved our experience at Belleayre and highly recommend it as an affordable and fun family experience.

This place offers a wide selection for everyone in the family. Stay all day if you like, there's a full bar, food and lots of seating available to accommodate their guest!

An amazing cheap place to go skiing. They have a gondola and many other lifts. It is hard to go everywhere on the mountain without going on blacks but it is possible. Enjoy!

Great place to Ski amazing people who work there. Took a while to get the rentals but the day was not lost. The mountain and lifts was great. Cant wait to go back

Decent snow conditions considering how little actual snowfall there has been. The rentals are quick and efficient. But I think this place is ridiculously over-priced.

Approximately 2 hours from the GW bridge, Belleayre is a family-focused ski area with one gondola and a speedy quad chairlift, as well several older, slow-moving lifts that would need an upgrade to keep up with the crowds. Can get crowded on nice weekends, with parking a nightmare, but for a day-trip from NYC, Belleayre is my favorite option. Lodges offer sub-par food options, so pack your lunch! The main draw? Their Gondola which is a saver on those fridig, single-digit days.

This is my favorite place to ride. I have been going since I was 12 and over the years the facilities have been getting better and better. But don't tell anyone.

Great hill with wide runs, some decent trees and a great family vibe.

Customer service is top notch. Don’t miss out on this mountain!

This review will focus almost exclusively on the exceptional members of the First Aid Station and the Ski Patrol at Belleayre.

After an amazing day of skiing at Belleayre last weekend with my two sons, aged 12 and 11, we experienced an awful incident where my older son severely injured himself on one of the black trails on his last run.

I was in the lodge with my 11 year old when I got the call from Steve Reich, a member of the ski patrol, to inform me of the news about my 12 year old. He was on the mountain and got to my son minutes after he fell. Despite telling me that my son had badly hurt his back and that his breathing was pretty ragged, Steve's professionalism, focus, and demeanor helped me to stay calm and to absorb the alarming news. Steve told me to get to the First Aid Station where they would bring my son. I went there immediately and was greeted by the amazing staff there. Christina Wells and Jim Lowda greeted me and were patient, kind and most importantly, incredibly competent. They did a great job calming down a shocked, frazzled, and worried father as we waited for the Ski Patrol to arrive with my son.

Let me tell you, I almost had a heart attack when I saw my son in the stretcher being pulled by the ski patrol's snow mobile. But, Christina and Jim were amazing. They kept talking to my son and assuring him that he'd by ok. The other members of the ski patrol, Tony Caneski and Mike Sarubdi, did a phenomenal job of securing my son to the stretcher so that they could quickly bring him down to the First Aid station. There were no less then six people who rushed to help him get off the stretcher, out of the restraints and into the ambulance so that we could get to a nearby hospital in Margaretville.

After several hours in the ER, we got the good news that my son hadn't broken or fractured anything. We were released and were on our way home later that night.

As if their attention to my son and me the day of the accident wasn't enough, the very next day I received phone calls from Jim and Steve to check up on him to see how he was doing. Their concern was genuine and I can't thank them enough for taking the time to do that.

It's been about a week since his accident, and my son is still healing, but he is on his way to a full recovery.

You absolutely should visit Belleayre to ski/snowboard as it is a great resort, with really nice facilities, and well maintained trails. However, I wrote this because I wanted you to know that, if you are ever in need of medical attention while you're there, you will be in VERY good hands. I simply cannot thank the First Aid staff and Ski Patrol enough for what they did for us.

Love their newly renovated Discovery Lodge and the new gondola lift. Even though it's a little bit of a hassle to take you skis off for the gondola but it's very fast to the summit (only ~8 minutes) and you are shielded from the environment (and you can safely use your phone!).

Their trails are much more family friendly than Hunter. They have plenty of black diamond (and double black) trails but they are mostly short and lead into blue trails. And most of their trails are very wide so it's safer for most people.

The two blue trails from the summit (Deer Run and Roaring Brook) are both very easy blue so even beginner-intermediate level skiers can enough going to the top and ski down.

The Overlook Lodge in mid-mountain is a very good alternative lodge as it is much less crowded. Unless you need to take lessons or rent equipment, I would recommend this lodge instead. You can easily ski down from Overlook to Discovery if you want to take the gondola.

Lots of well-maintained trails and convenient lifts! Someone in our party broke their wrist on the mountain and first aid workers were very helpful. Great mountain for a fun weekend vacation!

We went on president's day weekend. Overall experience is very modern, especially with the rental process with computers and helpful staff. The gondola was the bestway to get to the top. The Lightning Quad was a miserable experience. We spent almost 20 minutes in that line and they were running it super slow with all the families unfamiliar with getting through the electronic gates.

Trails are perfect for beginner & intermediate levels. Advanced skiers may find them to be limited. Nice conditions considering the lack of natural about this year. Pretty quiet on a Friday afternoon so we weren't fighting the crowds.

2020.02 me and my son never ski before. He is 10 and joined the camp. He learn slow and in the afternoon of the camp instructor only taking care 4 kids and 2 sitting doing nothing. Don't think it is worth at all.check my video

Food court was the issue
1/5 stars and not quality
4/5 stars for the slopes and mountain

Packing food until further notice or a change in management. Area well maintained and noticeably clean, Thats a hint and I wounder why.

Actually, it is extremely nice. Not so clouded even during Saturday of NY's winter break and food is reasonably priced as compare to other resorts.
22 February 2020 8:41
Overcrowded. 20 minute chair lift wait times. Trails closed off for competition, even with thousands of paying customers, broken lifts, complete parking and shuttle mess and extremely rude staff.

This place is terrible. The lines are LONG. People come early and throw all their stuff on a table in the lodge so there is nowhere to sit and eat. My daughter took her first lesson and there were at least 15 people in her group.
