Didnt show to appt. Appt was set at 2pm and there is a two hour arrival window. Still sitting here at 4: 40pm with a broken furnace and it reaches 40 degrees at night. Thanks so much, my 3 month old child needs warmth and i guess im just going to say f it to the electric bill. Awesome place you got here. And btw there was not even a call.

Arrived on time as promised. Did the install of both AC & Furnace, tested both & explained the operation before leaving. Great to work with.

Called as an emergency 3 days ago, they sent out someone fairly quickly. Asked him if he need model #, he said no. Got here and oops, wrong model. Said someone would call in the morning. They did not. Called them at noon, he said will call back in a few minutes. Did not. Called again a couple hours later, told me part might be a couple days. It's 26 here, will be minus zero tonight. Thankfully my daughter got me another company who fixed it. (amazingly they asked for the model number before coming!).

Belknap for the win again. Fast service. On-site same day repair. And educated us on trouble shooting for the future. Very pleased

I am very pleased with Belknap but I don’t particularly care for my YORK furnace. Don’t feel that after 7 years the heat exchange should have to be replaced

We love Belknap for our heating system needs. Their technicians are courteous and professional. Our technician, Howard, always calls ahead and lets us know when he will be here and talks through any work needed. We would recommend them to anyone!

Joshua was professional and courteous. He repaired our old humidifier and overcame whatever issues an old unit presented. Very satisfied with service.

Belknap is a wonderful company. Their service tech clearly explained my options. This time I ordered parts for repair. Belknap replaced the parts to get us heat, during the middle of a cold winter, on the same day.

My furnace went out the day before Christmas. With a blizzard and driving ban in place I called on Christmas Day hoping to leave a message on a machine and get on a list. An operator answered took my info and a few minutes later a tech called me. Josh walked me through a number of troubleshooting fixes but none worked. He also had me send a pic of the inside of the furnace and tried a couple more things. He even called back later in the day to check on us! On Tuesday when travel was possible Colin trudged down the street through deep snow to reach my home. He fixed the furnace. I was impressed by the knowledge, skill and caring these techs displayed. Called due to residential boiler not heating on Sunday evening. Fast response from technician that was well versed regarding my Lenox Boiler. Technician identified the problem quickly and was able to quickly retrieve the needed part and repaired the boiler. I would definitely recommend Belknap!

Mickey did an excellent job. Called to let me know he was on his way, located the problem quickly, obtained and installed the replacement motor in a little over an hour. I understand his day started at 6AM. He is a valuable employee and if future problems arise here I hope he is available!

Just after the winter storm on January 17,2022, we called Belknap in the morning for a dying furnace issue. The technician (Randy) was at our home by 1: 00 p.m. That same afternoon. He was very knowledgeable and took his time diagnosing the problem and fixed it. The furnace has been running successfully ever since! Recommend!

Called this company for emergency service the evening of 1/22/22 and spoke to a man who took down my information and promised to pass it along to a service technician. He said I should hear from the tech shortly. We never received the courtesy of a return phone call from Belknap Heating & Cooling. Horrible service, especially in weather like this which is a true emergency!

We were very pleased with the response that we had on Saturday. I called the service at 3: 10 pm and by 4: 30 a technician was in our home to address the problem. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made contact with his office to set up an appointment for a repair on Monday. Upon contacting the office I was able to get an appointment for Monday afternoon. This is why we use Belknap

I am happy and a very satisfied customer after hiring these guys to change my 25 yrs old furnace and ac. By far the most economical heating and cooling systems available in the market.

On the day of installation, Thomas and his team ensured everything was done without any delay. It took the entire day to complete the installation and I haven't had any issues since then.

Technician, Howard, was to arrive between2-4. After a call he arrived at promptly at 2: 10. He listened to the noise from the furnace, diagnosed the issue and repaired. I am extremely happy with his knowledge, professionalism, and efficiency.

The Belknap technician, Randy, arrived promptly, examined the boiler and explained the pluses and minuses of the boiler's current functioning. Apparently, one of the minuses was a malfunctioning element related to the functioning of water flow.
After identifying the part and its location, describing the process of repair and its cost, Randy advised attention to this matter but without any immediate alarm.
I have often wondered, as I review the year-end expenses whether I should change Belknap inspections to a biennial rather than annual routine. It is inspections like this which make the yearly inspection in this cold climate worth every penny.

A week later, Belknap scheduled the necessary repair to be accomplished by Technician, Corey Smith. Corey arrived early so as to perform the service within a couple of hours. The parts to be removed required quite a few careful steps; involving draining the water and refilling the flow to the required pressure. That being done, Corey next removed parts remaining of an earlier boiler (which resisted removal.) It was not an easy job, but it was done competently and efficiently without any mess.
My blue boiler looked great.

With the new element safely installed, the boiler continued in normal operation. Corey then addressed some of my questions about various possibilities: repair of wall heat covers, thermostat settings. All in all, there was as assurance of many years remaining of safe boiler operation.

The technician Cory was very polite and friendly and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend Belknap for my heating and cooling needs.

Howard was fantastic! Our boiler broke and we did not have any hot water. They diagnosed the problem quickly and made an extra effort to get our part and installation completed as quickly as possible. I would highly recommend.

Our technician Corey was very professional and courteous. He explained what was wrong with our system, offered options to repair and performed the repairs quickly. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

The technician arrived on time to look over my A/C and heating. He looked over the air filter and humidifier pad and indicated they were now fine; he indicated what to look for when it's time to replace them. AC gas is low and is CFC (from 1989!). A replacement is not needed now, but this will be coming in the next year or so. He was informative and I'm happy with the experience.

Nick was prompt and courteous for my A/C maintenance & check up that is under a service contract. It did not take long to let me know that everything was OK with the unit. I have used Belknap for quite a few years and would recommend them.

Purchased Bosch Air Conditioner from Belknap. Unit failed after 4-5 weeks of operation. It failed over a holiday weekend when we had out of town house guests and a party planned. Technician came after the weekend was over and diagnosed the problem as a defective control board. They had no replacement part in stock. Technician phoned a parts distributor who said he would try to locate the part. Technician left my house and said he would phone me when he heard back from the parts distributor. Technician later phoned and said the part would take 3-5 days to arrive from a factory. I requested that the part be sent by overnight express. He said it could not be sent by express courier because it originated from a factory. I informed him that Federal Express picks up from any where including factories. He said he would ask his supervisor if it was possible to be sent by express service. It is 1 day later and I have not heard from Belknap. This experience has been disappointing and terrible.

Belknap's technician Mickey was prompt, polite, personable, thorough, and very professional in all respects. This is why I've used Belknap for more than 25 years. Great company, great people.

Dave and Cory installed our units and they went above and beyond to answer questions, check out problems and did a good job installing our furnace and air conditioner. They were prompt and efficient and left no mess. They were very good.

We have used Belknap several times and have always been very satisfied. This past call Mike M.came out and was such a pleasant person, very efficient and personable and thorough. Belknap has done it again!

Last Winter, my furnace stopped working at my dental office. I called Belknap to come and replace the furnace. They were timely and did replace the furnace. After replacement, the furnace was not working and had a terrible smell for several days. They returned to try to fix it and said that the tech who installed it performed it incorrectly. They of course did not have the necessary parts so I had to wait for the repair on another day. When the parts and tools arrived, they spent several hours working on my furnace. During this time, I am still an operational dental office with no heat and a terrible smell. This is obviously not the experience we would like to give our valued patients. I still did not write a bad review because they did eventually fix the issue and as a small business owner in East Amherst, I understand the complexities of running a business. Yesterday, Belknap came to my office for a free furnace maintenance. The gentleman was on time and left without any known issues. This morning, I enter my office and the temperature is 53 degrees. The technician "forgot" to turn back on my furnace after he completed his exam and maintenance. It is snowing outside and usually my office is not open on Wednesdays but I luckily had a change in schedule. My pipes could have burst and I would not have known it until Thursday. Be cautious using this company. From start to finish, I have had so many problems and issues that could have been avoided if they were just more conscientious and detail oriented with their work. Even a simple maintenance visit could have led to disaster.

The service we requested were handled very quickly. They installed a combo boiler heating unit. The day of installation 2 installers arrived at the time they said they were going to be arriving. Both men were very courteous and showed us how the unit operates. We would highly recommend this business to all of our friends

Mike was very good. He found ways to improve the overall humidity in the house and provided us with advice on how to maintain a more comfortable environment within our home. He went above and beyond his contracted maintenance activity to help the ensure we were taken care of.

We called this morning to have a repair done at a rental home we own. There was no heat. Spoke with Cory who explained what they would do and when they would be able to get there.
He arrived in a timely manner and checked the whole system. Repaired what was wrong and cleaned it up. Noted the pressure was too high and reset it.
He called when the job was complete and explained what the problem was and what he did to repair it.
No upwelling or telling us we need a whole new system. We are very pleased with this company and Cory did a great, professional job for us. Thank you! We will recommend them to anyone.

I have a service contract with Belknap for maintenance of my furnace, AC, and generator. They always have been honest, professional, friendly, and provided great service. I had my furnace serviced today by Mike, he did an outstanding job!

I had a new furnace installed in November of 2020. The price of the furnace was high but I had heard good thing about this company so I accepted it. Installation took 6 hrs. With no duct work. I also requested a new thermostat since this home was a new home for me and I was having problems with working the thermostat. I was assured nothing was wrong. Now in January I come home to a house that is 60 degrees and call for help. They came out and assured me that nothing was wrong with the furnace. I again mentioned the thermostat but was assured it was working. After 2 more visits that week one of their people finally after my insistence pulled the thermostat off the wall and found that one of the wires was in fact broken causing the thermostat to work only intermittently. A replacement thermostat would cost about $200 to install. High but I figured just get it done. After installation I was given an invoice for $380 on a thermostat that I later found on Amazon for $50. Slow work incompetent repairmen and overpriced. I think that says it all.

We were out of heat for three days before we got a visit from Belknap. No fault of theirs. It was a holiday weekend and we had made accommodations to sleep somewhere else until the next normal business day. When the technician arrived on Monday, he took a look, called his office and quoted a price of $400. He said it was for the ignitor. As I was at work and it was just my wife and elderly mother who were there, I told him to go ahead. I didn't have the time to research the price and had known Belknap to be a reliable and well known business. The technician went back to the office, got the part and installed it. In hindsight, it was my fault for not checking, It looks like the part itself is less than$50 and the total of the 45 minutes he was there should have cost us no more than $150. Very disappointed. It almost feels like I got ripped off but I really don't know cause the Service Manager never responded to my request for an itemized bill.

The service technician was very professional, skilled and courteous. Belknap has installed a number of furnaces for me and has always done an outstanding job!

I had a phenomenal experience with Belknap! My furnace went out Christmas weekend. I called on a Monday, got a great price, and a whole new furnace and AC (my AC was also 30 years old, just replaced together) were installed and working 24 HOURS LATER! The whole experience was great. A guy came out within an hour of my first call to inspect on Monday, the guys who installed on Tuesday were very friendly, but more importantly - did great work. They knew their stuff.

From the first phone call to the end, I'm super happy about my decision!

2020 was not done with us yet! On New Year's Eve the ignition switch failed on our furnace. Dawn was a lifesaver and arranged for someone to come out at 3 on. New Year's Eve. Corie showed up within 1/2 hr. He didn't have the exact right part but made it work until they could get the right one. Randy came out first thing Monday to install the new part. Everyone was helpful, kind and so helpful. The price was VERY REASONABLE. We have made an appointment for them in the spring to do some other work. You all went above and beyond. I have used several HVAC companies over the years, and have now settled on Belknap as my go to. Each technician was pleasant, helpful and efficient - explaining to me exactly what was or wasn't working. When a frozen condensation trap led to a planned replacement and the trap unfroze in the interim, Belknap sent people out to check that it was really working, not just a fluke. No charge, confirmation all was well - reassurance for this homeowner. Great company.

I had a review on here, but I had to change it I was happy for 2 days. I just spent $533.36 to have my furnace repaired so I thought today it is broken again I feel that I was cheated. I now have to wait another day to it repaired again probably another $500 If I have to pay again I am taking legal action against this company. I have been a customer for 5years They installed my furnace 5yrs ago and my central air this summer. I am very disappointed. I may as well find someone else to service my furnace in the future.

Great service, extreme overcharge for parts. Friendly service person, I got charged 450 dollars for a part that costed online less than 100. I do not mind paying extra but not that much. I voiced my displeasure via an email and got a call from the manager, he attempted to explain the price included labor when the invoice clearly states that as a separate charge. There is a line item for a part and it stated 450.

Update: After a call from the company, they elaborated on the charges and apologized for the confusion. I explained if they broke out the charges explaining what is being paid for, people like me will not be as upset. He appreciated the criticism.
