Not Worth The $53 To Play 18 With The Condition This Course Is In… The Greens Are A Mess & Send Your Ball In Numerous Direction While Trying To Put. Never Had A Course Charge $24 For A Cart, Usually It’s Split Between Two Riders. Sorry To Say, I Won’t Be Back!

Beautiful beach and lovely park for the kids.
I'd give it 5 stars for that.
However they need to re-evaluate their police. Ruined so may families holidays today and costed them hundreds of dollars in this economy. Pulled over several people. All because we accidently turned up a one way, with 4 screaming kids in the car and we were lost. Like seriously couldn't let us off with a warning to a park we've never been to, and we were clearly stressed and lost?
Pull over people driving drunk or disturbing the park. Not a family trying to enjoy a beautiful day who accident turned the wrong way.

Just played golf here this past weekend, and was very disappointed with the condition of the greens. They are almost unputtable. They have been ruined by geese picking at the greens. Other than that the condition of the course was just ok.

Excellent course with mixed distances, and a good variety of terrain to play. Fun course to play

It was clean.beach was sandy.in the water was sandy with some smooth rocks mostly sand though as whole the beach and park was clean with plenty of picnic tables very close to the water and some grills.great on a hot day with clear warm water.

I like course, BUT something must be done about that cart area. I suggest taking out the hedge. Then carts could come and go on that small path to the tee area. Common Sense needs to prevail.

This is a really nice old school golf course. Which means there’s no out of bounds and no houses. Which is pretty rare these days. Really nice greens for a public coarse.
The only problem I see with this course is the tee boxes need to be updated. They only have two sets of tees, white red/gold. They need at least five sets because the white tees are almost 6500 yards long and should be blue tees. The red and senior tees are the same distance and they’re 6100 yards which is way too long. This is 2021 and you don’t have 2 sets of tees. They need to get with the times.

Beaver Island Golf Course and Bogey's are both outstanding. The staff at the golf course is so kind, courteous and caring. We are always greeted with a smile and friendly service. We have become on first name basis with many members of the excellent staff such as Brandon, Joe, Gianna, and many many more. It is a friendly and fun atmosphere! The food at Bogey's is ridiculously good, and they have the best French fries on this planet. The staff at Bogey's is also excellent as Sydney, Anna and many more always great us with a pleasant smile! Kudos!

After having not visited in several years i was blown away by the improvements! We had a great time visiting the State park for Father's day! Plenty to do and the beach was clean and very enjoyable! A great place to spend the day! We'll be back without a doubt!

Love the golf course, and the amazing employees! The food at Bogey's is wonderful, I recommend it!

This golf course was fantastic, and excellent course layout and was in fantastic shape, well maintained. I recommend this course to everyone.

I went to the frisbee golf course and it was my first time throwing this course. It was a change up from throwing mostly wooded courses but very enjoyable even though I didn't throw very well.

Called to schedule a tee time after 430pm. Employee said no need to, you can walk right on.get there and they have tournaments.so can't get out.incompetent employees and management. DO NOT BOTHER.

It's really nice to have so much right in your own backyard. Save money and get a New York Park Pass and you can visit any park in NY. North end, Buckhorn State Park, and South end Beaver Island State Park with tons of parking, snack bar, golf, massive grass area to play some games, fishing off the little bridge, boardwalk, restrooms, beach, a lot of grassy areas with picnic tables and covered area that you can reserve to grill at with your family and friends, playground, bar outside in the summer evenings. Sledding hill and snow shoeing. Both State Parks have nice bike paths which is so fun. Niagara Falls is right down the Niagara River from the north end. Fabulous bike path that is on the West River side of the Island and is about ten miles or so long. Has overlooks you can stop and have picnics or catch some sun. Goes all the way to Beaver Island State Park. You can see Canada across the way that have very pretty views. A good long bike rides or a run for everyone.

I have been going to Beaver Island State Park for 40+ years. The bad years at the park. Like when the Casino/Banquet Hall had a fire, Board walk was run down and the roads were brutal.
I am happy to say all of this has been not only corrected. Yet it has been improved on greatly. The Banquet hall is open for rental. The Board walk is repaired and checked every Spring. Great place to go for a picnic or outing. I am not a golfer, however many use the parks golf course. Purchase a NYS yearly park pass and save a ton on free entrance, and all other NYS parks including Niagara Falls.

Could use a little more character. Was pretty straight. Driver, wedge putter on every par 4. Par 5's just average, Par 3's were each enjoyable. Good fairways on most holes. Greens were nice, tough and pretty smooth. Worth the money overall.

Very nice golf course that is kept in great shape and it won't break the bank to play there. Is one of the courses that drain very well, so its a good course to play after some rain or if there is rain in the forecast.very long course, could be tough if you don't get good distance off of the tee.

This review is for Beaver Island State Park. Great park for taking a walk or taking in a sunset. In the winter for sledding and perhaps cross country skiing if this area's weather can actually maintain the conditions long enough! You can walk along the beach and also through the woods. I'm not a golfer or one for hanging out at a beach all day, so no comment on those aspects. Some unique scenery in this park. This side of the Island has a more rustic quality than the "newer" East River side and now there's a bike/walking path that stretches the entire length of the West River Parkway. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but that's typical of most parks and I don't hang out in there for a long time anyway.

Awesome Gem for Western NY Marcus Latham and all who care deeply working so hard each summer made it paradise!

I like this speech, but, there's about eight feet of really bad rocks on your way into the water, honestly it hurt my feet so bad I thought I was going to cry! On the way out I had to go super super slow and try to place my feet in areas where there were too many rocks.otherwise, everybody was very appropriately socially distance. Except for these 10 peoplewho were all close together, no masks, and absolutely no social distancing. Seeing that kind of thing really annoys me. Also, when I was leavingthe smaller parking lot, there were some kind of low-life people having a picnic near by, and one woman dragged her Rottweiler by his collar with two hands, and then put him on a chain, and smacked him on the back really hard. I would have said somethingbut I was alone and they look like the type of people that would beat me up or something. I wish I would have taken a picture and then reported them to the Park Police. But, the sand is clean and the water was really refreshing, although you do end up with some shredded up seaweed floating around.

I have been playing Beaver Island for the past two summers. Last year when I visited for the first time, I was absolutely shocked by the great condition of the greens and how well they take care of the course for a state park. The greens fees are reasonable and the staff that work there are very friendly, accommodating, and professional. Good value for your money. A drainage system would benefit this course, as one hole in particular, is always like a sponge after a heavy rain. Definitely worth visiting.

Beautiful place to relax, hike or fish. Unexpectedly Stopped through on a trip to Detroit & Niagara Falls.

The water was cool but the beach had very little sand. More mud in the water than sand. Lots of Lake Gulls.

Parents need to watch their kids!
Lifeguards were given little respect! And the mothers red Solo cups weren't fooling, anybody

Depends on what your looking for here. Excellent picnic areas by the water. Just don't go in the water.
29 September 2019 1:43
Beautiful place to go for a family picnic, or walk around the marina, have a bike ride, or take a couple of chairs and enjoy the view. Definitely should be on your list as one of the places to enjoy during the spring, summer, or fall.

I play in a weekly Thursday night league and I'm noticing that the course is starting to be neglected by the grounds crew again. They're only watering the greens and not the fairways as much. Getting really rough. The pro shop manager claimed that he was going to make it a better course and I have yet to see improvements better than the previous manager

Beautiful facility has a lot going on. We went golfing on this trip. Fee to get into the park are refunded when you go golfing. The course is very nice and great for all talent levels of golfers.

Very nice course. Well maintained and reasonably priced. Greens are in great shape. Would definitely be back
20 September 2019 11:49
Not the best beach but if you're not trying to go all the way to woodlawn or sunset this is in between Buffalo and Niagara Falls. They have a playground, volleyball net, concession stands, designated smoking areas & a beautiful scenic route. The water isn't the cleanest but it's still a good place to go for summer
15 September 2019 0:35
So much fun to bring a picnic. Great trails, beach and play ground. If you bring charcoal you can grill.
08 September 2019 10:03
We always love coming here and walking around. It's scenic and has plenty of things for the whole family. They have a playground, a beach, swimming with lifeguards (during certain hours), public restrooms, shelters/grills, walking paths.it's just beautiful! The beach isn't like going to an ocean, but the kids love it and it does provide a really great atmosphere. Some parts of the beach have a volleyball net as well. The parking is $7 during the day, but it's free after 6pm. Either way it's a relaxing way to spend your time and worth making the effort to go to.

Mostly well manicured, playground equipment is very nice. Waterfront property is beautiful. Boardwalk could be maintained better. A lot of screws sticking up and a few boards uneven. Frisbee golf course is pleasantly difficult.
