It is very nice to walk in the mornings, or in the afternoons, and there is parking. Only when you leave the parking lot you have to be very careful when exiting, the cars pass very quickly.

Very tranquil spot despite heavy traffic on the highway. Great! Especially taking a moment from your travels, or waiting for individual flight either arrival or departure. Great spot to take in the atmosphere, fishing from the pier, trail walks, and bicycles, or a stroll to stretch your legs. Nonetheless, Bayside Marina is all about the water and boats.

Great place to fish. Restaurant and Bathrooms. They have fishing pole rentals. NOTE: Do Not park in parking lot, you will be towed away! Park across walkway Bridge. Drive to Bell Blvd and turn on 28 Avenue going towards 215 Street. Plenty of Free parking on the street. Walk over walkway and avoid any towing problems.

Just passed and stopped at this spot where the parking is convenient, The view over the bay is surprising, in spite of the highway noise, I enjoyed a short sleep, then keep driving, feel great!

From Crocheron Park you go over the Cross Island Expressway walkway and walk about a mile to get to the marina. You can fish, rent a boat, eat in the snack bar, or just enjoy the view.

Website office kayak to be member and get a parking permit but the worker there said they don’t offer kayak membership and no parking permit will be given.

8.6.22 Random stop at night and it was so peaceful, quiet, and I felt safe. Restrooms were clean and the views were spectacular.

Small but well organized marina, has a neat deli serving hot and cold drinks with hot off the grill sandwiches. Very relaxing view and has a safe walkway so pedestrians can traverse to and from the pier from the mainland. The pier goes out over into the water for a good distance and the deli sits at the end of the pier.

Rented a motorized boat. It was 50 bucks per hour. The process of renting the boat was super smooth. The guys showed us how to start up the boat and was super friendly

Another hidden gem of a spot when you can connect with nature and experience therapeutic effect of the sound of water. Beautiful place, can tryout fishing but do not park at the parking lot. Your car will be towed, it's specifically for boat owners with parking permits.

18 April 2022 17:55
It's always nice here when the snobs aren't chasing you away or towing your car because you stepped out for 2 minutes to appreciate nature.not without a permit you dont!
18 March 2022 3:56
Be careful thugs are there if you step away from your car it is will be towwd. For morring avarage price. But for city owned place is should be cheaper than privates for 34ft season may 1 to Nov 1 was about with cost all inclusive 4k a season.
23 December 2021 11:20
Great Spot for fishing. Pier fishing, or in season, you can rent a boat. Parking by permit only, otherwise your will get towed away. Best thing is park on the other side of Cross Island Pkwy, come from Bell Blvd and turn on 28th. Avenue. Plenty of free street parking, then walk over bridge overpass walkway. Season has just ended October 31,2021 but will reopen in the spring time

The marina has always been a nostalgic place for me because I grew up in bayside and I remember the walks I used to take with my parents but the other day I went here and got a bagel and my cousin got fries and these people have nooo sense of cleanliness. The young boy behind the counter did multiple transactions before he started my bagel and he grabbed my bagel with no gloves. Not wearing gloves doesn’t bother me but he didn’t even wash his hands after he was touching money and the dirty register. He then proceeded to put the fries in the fryer with no gloves. And the owner/manager I’m not sure who he is but he looks to be of Asian decent and is tan is just as gross. He was coughing without covering his mouth and he came from outside and grabbed a bagel and made himself a bagel and never washed his hands. Also, the sign on the door says that we must wear a mask but the workers weren’t even wearing one. Now I totally understand that typically people don’t go to this little shack for food but it’s a great place to get a snack while you’re walking by the water. I will never get anything from here that’s not wrapped and sealed!

Such a jem. Well, not because it is pretty or anything. It is just a pier with a little shanty at the end that sells snacks and makes simple hot foods. BUT it is the fact you can rent a boat for 100 bucks deposit and 40 bucks an hour. Get your fishing license and come out on the water. The bay is usually very tranquil. And even if you don't get a boat, coming down to the end of the pier, seating down and enjoying the sea air. Just a nice little detour.

It is a place to ride a bike, go for a walk with the children, it has its boat park here and some shops
To walk during the day is destressing

Great place to store your boat; the atmosphere is super relaxed and staff are friendly. 24/7 launch service is reliable, and there's usually plenty of space to pull up to the dock for freshwater and pumpout access. The dock sits in about 3-4 feet of water at MLW, but the bay has an 8 foot tide swing so even a deep-draft sailboat can get dockside for most of the day.

Dockage and mooring rates are reasonable for NYC. Lockers and private restrooms are a great addition for boaters, and the public snack bar offers a decent menu including alcohol! The public gate is closed overnight for extra security, and a permitted parking lot ensures there are always space available for boaters to park.

Nice place for the family to see the boats and fish. Only suggestion is that they update their parking policy on their own website because it contradicts what they say in person, on their Facebook page and on the Parks Dept.website about Parking with a Permit only.
13 September 2021 18:20
Great place to catch blue crabs, fluke and other common saltwater fish. Food is available along with beers and seltzers (the beer selection could be better but I'm just being picky). And best of all there's a bathroom so you can stay for hours and enjoy yourself.

The marina is not huge but great place to stop for a short break when driving. Has restrooms and a quick bite coffee store.
12 July 2021 14:30
Nice, calm environment even though situated along the busy Cross Island Parkway. Perfect spot for an evening stroll or just to unwind and gather your thoughts.
06 July 2021 2:05
Mainly tow business is here. I was front of the car. The tow guy took a picture of my car. I said reason of the picture then he said nobody in the car. Then he hooked up my car. I called cops he showed that picture saying nobody was inside. So tow guy won. Tow guy lying and cops are believing.

Tried to pay by card, tow guy said only cash, card machine not working.

Warning! This is a scam Bussines.

This is a very special place for me and my childhood memories. Riding there on my bicycle from queens village with friends snapper fishing and taking them home to eat. Fried and eaten like french fries.
20 May 2021 23:30
This is the place to put your boat in the water and sail off to the waters of Long Island, The Bronx, Queens, and Mt. Vernon and all the way up to Connecticut. There's also a trail here where many exercise. You can see many walking, riding bikes, rollerskating, jogging, and it's the perfect place for a date- you can hold hands, walk and enjoy intimate conversation. Be careful where you park though, right where the dock is there's a sign that says you need a permit so don't leave your car, go 1 exit up and park in the bigger parking lot or around the Throgs Neck Bridge.
30 April 2021 19:15
Nice view. If you feel like relaxing or jogging you could park there and enjoy the path that runs along the bay.
27 January 2021 21:46
Nice romantic little place for a short stop. I was able to see two swans, Right by the water. It was such a nice little view.
28 February 2020 23:08
Welcome to my childhood seaside memories. Truly embodies "hometown" with the nice and calm scenery, a snack shop (love their nuggets), and an un-keepable fishing spot. Boating too.
23 February 2020 3:11
Great refreshment on the short trail. But they only open from spring to fall. The trail is complete resurface on Mid August 2018.
Beware the parking area. They tow cars very quick. All these parking spots are for permit only parking. Dont try to park there, they can tow your car in just little as 5 minutes. There is another huge parking off on Bell Blvd exit. That is free parking, park there.

Newly bike line pavement

Absolutely awesome Bayside Marina as you are leaving Long island. The best part about it is it's free.

Great place to stop really quick and take some pictures or spend too much money on a hot dog.
