UPDATE: ate there Thanksgiving night. All the spark is gone. Food was just ok, this after years of consistently outstanding meals. Also, very expensive. This is very disappointing. Don't know whether pandemic took its toll, new owners or managers, or just changes with the passage of time.

Unbelievable consistency in quality, friendliness and professionalism. The Saturday short rib special is to die for. Highly recommended.

Don’t mess the chance of visiting this restaurant, it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Everything was amazing! I’ll definitely visit again!

Terrible experience and food. We came for a last minute dinner, huge regret, next time I would rather have a hot dog from the street vendor. Will never come back again!

I literally wasted $200 here. The food was disgusting and the service was even worse. Avoid at all costs.

Keith McNally is an individual who approves of the slaughter of innocent Israelites. Absolutely disgusting restaurant, food is overpriced. Will not be back ever!

Service was good but food lackluster. Ordered the $58 steak au poivre medium rare and arrived super rare, even the waitress asked to take it back before I could say anything. Instead of the kitchen firing up a new steak.they heated up the same one! Now the temperature was Medium. Incredibly disappointing for a well known french bistro in NYC. Tipped 20% as it wasn't the waitstaff at fault. Simply won't be back again or send any friends/family here after spending $240 on a lunch for two.

The most disappointing experience in all my years of dining. I would recommend to anyone to go somewhere else.

This iconic French brasserie was on my list of must visit places for my trip to NYC, and it didn’t disappoint. While the steak frites is the most popular dish here, we went with some other choices (duck confit, halibut, burger) and each of them were quite fantastic. Desserts were exquisite and the cocktails were also pretty darn good.

A definite recommendation for folks visiting NYC

I expected more from this highly rated restaurant. The service was hectic and quite stressful and my steak was over cooked, when I mentioned it to the staff they said, it’s not my problem. You would never get this is the UK.

A hot spot French restaurant surprisingly famous with their burger located in demand neighborhood.
The burger was pretty amazing since meat was thick, but the cheese didn’t have much taste. On the other hand onion rings were extremely greasy that hurt my stomach afterwards.
I recommend to visit and ask for a indoor table since the decoration is fabulous.

The owner is an anti semite and hates Jews. I will never come here with my family ever again!

An amazing culinary experience in SoHo. You must try the escargots and the spaghetti lobster.
Place is noisy and quiet chaotic but at the same time it’s tidy and has a great service. It’s worth every dollar spent.
Will be back next time in NYC.

I liked Baltazar. The food very good. All we had tasted amazing. Service was good although it felt like there were rushing us out of the table for the next customer. Also, waiter wasn’t that gentle. That everything ended up working fine. Atmosphere is the highlight of the place. Decoration is pretty and gets you to Europe for sure. I do recommend this place.

Balthazar! One of the best French in the city. Most fun to sit at the bar midday, or have dinner in a corner booth. The food is spectacular.

Food was good. Just nothing special. Maybe if I ordered something different, it would be better. There weren't lots of options for lunch though.

The service wasn't good. I was thirsty, but no one would bring me any water till I was almost done eating.

Beautiful restaurant with a nice ambiance. Food was better than we expected. Would recommend to try out steak tartare, tuna and steak frites. Duck was a bit dry for our taste but didn’t taste bad at all. Overall, would definitely come back.

One downside was the wait time despite making a reservation and coming early.

Balthazar! This wonderful location in the heart of Soho. The service is average, the dish are little above average. I love your burger here. The patty are delicious, but the huge onion rings are very greasy: (. It's a classic you should give it a chance.

For us, no trip to New York city would be complete without a stop at Balthazar. And as always, we were not disappointed. We sat outdoors, even during a rainy weekend, and it was great. Not a drip in the outdoor tent, and our server Lily Y.was absolutely fantastic. She did a great job with suggestions, and she even introduced us to our new favorite dessert, the caramelized banana ricotta tart!

Melissa was my server the other evening and could not have been more attentive. The staff was great, the food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Thanks for making my night fun!
