I love this place so much! As someone with extremely long hair and a moderate fear of salons wanting to "play" with it (usually ending very upsetting surprises), Allie was AMAZING! She's kind, knowledgeable, gave me tons of tips, and didn't do too much all at once. She recommended me to enjoy the cut for a while and come back for more face shaping, toning, and she'd teach me better curling techniques. Not to mention the beautiful makeover instructions I got after the trim! The pic you see here is the combined handywork of hair and makeup. I recommend everyone forever to go to Artistry in Hanover. I know I'll certainly be back for all my hair and makeup needs

Got an absolutely life changing haircut! Tanya did an amazing job with my curls and gave me exactly what I was looking for! I had tried a lot of places but this was the first that I felt knew how to cut and style curly hair. Not only that but she also told me all the tips and tricks for upkeep and general maintenance. It was a lovely and professional atmosphere. I’ve never left a hair salon so confident in my life!

I've worked with Tanya a few times now, and each time is such a stress free and enjoyable experience (as getting your hair done should be!). She always asks detailed questions about what I want and is very knowledgeable about outcomes to expect and hair care. I always look forward to coming back!

Artistry Hanover is an amazing Salon - the stylist are professional, the products are fantastic, the best highlights received ever! Brooke is an expert in blowouts, even if you have a crazy curly hair like me! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They do have a cancellation policy, however, it is very understood why as the stylists are reserving there a time for you, and if you don’t show up, they don’t get paid. It is well worth a trip to artistry to get the most beautiful hair of your life

I'll try to keep this short. It is a rare occasion I go to a salon to get my hair done, I am lucky to have a mom who cuts great hair. I have been looking to dye my hair for only the 4th time in my life, and I'm 40. I've had 1 terrible experience, 1 great and the last mediocre. After extensive research, I found Artistry in Hanover. From the 1st call right to the end, it was amazing. They asked me all the right questions and put me with Amber. Let me tell you, Amber is amazing. I showed her 1 photo, told her my history, and she immediately knew what I wanted. She was so easy to talk to, explained everything to me every step of the way, then gave me the most amazing color! It's better than I could have ever imagined. It has been 2 weeks, and I love it more and more every day. Thank you, Artistry in Hanover, and THANK YOU SO MUCH, Amber!

I see Tanya for my blonde! She’s so knowledgeable, always takes care of my hair, would never do anything to damage my hair. Always does meticulous work but is so efficient! We have so much fun, been seeing her for over a year! Love her.

If you want a salon where you can build a relationship with your stylist and have a sense of their artistry, this is the place to go. I appreciate places that give you and opportunity to build respect and relationship with your stylist.

I've seen Zach at Artistry for over a year and my experience could not have been better. When I first started going, my hair was a rough and dry, damaged mess. Under Zach's care and expertise, my hair is now healthier than it has ever been. I've always left the salon with that fresh cut confidence boost. The whole salon is clean with a relaxing atmosphere and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend this salon

Zack has done a great job transitioning my grown out grey into a beautiful natural overall blend using bayalage. I trusted his suggestions and am 100% satisfied. I get many compliments and recommend Zack for your next bayalage treatment.

Not the place to go for short hair or alternative hairstyles. I had a grown out buzz cut and asked for a mullet, but ended up with more of a bowl cut. I left a pretty angry review the day after and the salon reached out and I felt pressured to delete my review. Now that it has been a week without any follow-up, I have kind of a bad taste in my mouth from the whole experience and wanted to re-instate my review.

The blond is what I came in with, and as you can see, the top layer was a lot longer than what I walked out with. I had specifically told the stylist I was trying to grow out the top layer. Now I have tiny bangs and way more layers that are pretty hard to work with.

I have had three haircuts with Amber and will keep going back, because she is AMAZING! She takes her time to craft the look you are going for-from pictures or your description. Wonderful human with incredible skills, I can't recommend her enough.

Zach did a wonderful job coloring my multi faceted look (combination of highlights/lowlights and toner) Upscale location with laid back vibe. I recommend Zach and the salon for a personal experience. Thank you Artistry and Zach:)

Zach may be the best hair stylist I've ever encountered. First he saved me after a bad blonde coloring job (at another salon) and when I returned 3 months later I got the best platinum blonde highlights ever. If you want blonde done right (and I'm guessing he's good with any color). Go see Zach!

This place is amazing. I came in with a correction from another salon and Zack fixed everything and made it 100x better. So relieved and will be coming back.

Zack does my hair color and cut. He does an awesome job. I am honestly very picky about my hair. I want my hair to be a completely different color but look like my natural color. Ha! He does a great job. I get many compliments.

I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences here. Amber is a magician and always delivers amazing haircuts and color. She really knows color theory and was able to take me from purple back to brown. She also does an amazing balayage and really listens to give you exactly what you hoped for - or even better! Cannot recommend her enough.

I went today for highlights and a haircut for the first time at this salon. Allie did an amazing job and listened to everything I said and worked with my budget. She did a wonderful job on my hair and was upfront about everything. Would definitely recommend this place.

I drive 45 minutes each way just to have Brooke cut and color my hair. She's a great listener and knows how to translate my non-stylist requests. This is my 4th or 5th visit and I always leave feeling like a million bucks! Even though it's downtown, parking on Water St.has always been plentiful. The shop is quaint and clean, very happy customer.

I got my first balayage and it was a fun experience! Amber listened to my request for a natural look with some copper tones. She even styled it too. She blew it out of the park!

Tanya did Amazing! Brought my hair back to life. She prioritized my comfort and actually cared about things other stylist usually overlook. She took her time and focused on every little detail which I appreciate so much! I absolutely love my hair and will come back a million times! So glad I chose this salon!

Tanya gave me the best haircut I've ever received. She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions within my wishes, and did a fantastic job with the cut and style. Throughout the whole process she treated me with genuine respect and care. I am very self conscious about my hair and have often worried it would never be beautiful. The haircut and style she gave me really made me believe it was possible, a really transformative moment for me. I truly could not have been happier with the experience or the results.

Had a really disappointing experience this week. I never write reviews but think it’s necessary this time. I got a haircut by Brooke and initially asked for lots of layers for my long straight hair to which Brooke said she didn’t recommend it because it would look “choppy” but then said long layers could work for me. Trusting her expertise, I agreed to this, however once I went home I realized she literally just cut my hair straight across and there were zero layers! I felt like I just wasted my money and time! She had the worst attitude since I first interacted with her and clearly wanted to go home, as I was the last client of the day. I don’t understand why you would offer this time slot if you simply want to rush your work and not give your client satisfying hair results! I was supposed to have an appointment the week prior but it was cancelled the morning of, so it’s even more disappointing that this is the type of service I received as I was very understandable of the appointment rescheduling.

I’ve been coming to Tanya for years and can’t recommend her/this salon enough! She always does an incredible job and I leave so happy. She’s great at working with curly hair and great at fashion colors. The salon is in a great location and is always a welcoming environment.

Omg i got my hair cut this morning by Tanya i HAD dry, damaged, tons of different pattern curls, uneven& all around unmanageable hair. She gave me the best cut AND style ive had in my entire life & im almost 28! Thank you girl SO MUCH:) i want to straighten it but i love how you did it before i left soo much; I don’t want to mess with it & for once actually have different OPTIONS i like with my hair, and not whatever it is my hair is doing for that day! What a positive experience at Artistry in Hanover. It was my first time and I got very lucky. Tanya gave me the the best haircut of my life. She listened and communicated with an enthusiasm that was fun and relaxing. She used her skills and magic as she highlighted my hair so that it looked identical to the photo I shared. I can't wait to return; I highly recommend Tanya and this unique salon.

Zach did such an amazing job! In the past I’ve had a hard time finding someone who was able to do exactly what I asked for but Zach did it. The price was very very reasonable for a higher end salon. Great experience.
