Arecibo Car Service

The driver exchanged my money and gave me a fake $20! I paid cash and one minute later, he returned with a fake $20 cash and told me that mine was fake (The real that I gave him). Obviously, he exchanged my money with his fake money! This is obnoxiously disgusting behavior and of course, I will never EVER book their service again. If you want to use their service, just think about my experience!

Affordable prices great service and most of clean cars. My recommendation is to alway make sure to have the dispatcher give you the price. Some driver’s have there own pricing which creates confusion.

Dispatcher is rude/disrespectful to customers.
Reliability for scheduled continuous trips is poor.
Horrible wait time for call pick up.
Unreliable for medical transportation.

I had not had the need for car service in quite some time, until most recently following a famiky emergency out if town.
I checked my contacts and Arecibo appeared.
It felt like old times, speaking with the dispatcher, staing my location and the rest is history!
Tony was my contact person. Totally pleasant, professional and to the letter of very good service for my trip to the airport.
On my return arrival I took a chance for return service, and much oi my delight Arecibo did not fail!
Edwin was my contact and equally professional, thorough and reassuring. Due to the hectic nature of airports, there was a bit of a scramble locating my driver, but with patience and faith I finally connected with Tyrone and enjoyed a safe and lovely pleasant ride home.

Great local taxi service, on time, respectable, and efficient. Drivers I’ve had usually prefer cash so keep that in mind. Chauffeur services feels a little misleading but all in all great service

I received a terrible service from an Arecibo operator. I was surprised how disrespectful and rude the operator was with me. Also noticed that Arecibo does not comply with established Covid-19 protocols. The assigned driver was not wearing a facemask and when I requested the driver to wear a facemask, he had a bad attitude and drove me to my destination in such fast and abrupt manner that he almost made me vomit. In addition, I noticed that their prices are no longer the best in the market. In fact, their prices are higher than Lift and Uber. Also, most of the drivers do not accept cash, which is very inconvenient. I will not recommend Arecibo car services.

I booked this agency to me from LGA to times square. They were on time. They were very polite. The cars were very nice and fit my family of 4 with all out luggage comfortably. The price is much cheaper than other agencies. I will definitely use them every time I vsiit!

These people are beyond nice. Had broken down or 3rd ave.with some work people.call them explain we were on an outing. Vehicle broke down how many there were. No problem.sent two vehicles to pick us up.so we got home safe n sound but more important together. Will definitely use them again

They were amazing! We used them to get to LGA and back. We needed a toddler car seat, so couldn’t just rely on Uber or Lyft. They were great at being in contact, had well maintained car seats and were well priced. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely use them again.

Have used them multiple times for trips to and from JFK / LGA and home. Always on time, friendly drivers and very reasonable rates.

I deleted Uber and Lyft apps because of Arecibo. They got me to midtown from Bklyn and back for 1/2 the cost and no wait. Highly recommended.

Fully satisfied with my experience. It was easy to fill out the form online, response was prompt, when I had a last minute flight change and had to change my airport drop off, they replied quickly. Pick up was right on time, and the ride was smooth and uneventful. I will use them for all future airport rides as they eliminate the stress and price variety of on-demand rides!

Great for airport transfers with a baby. A reliable service even when our flight was delayed into the night. Infant car seat was clean and in excellent condition.

Arecibo is my go to any time I need airport transportation. You can book in advance via their app. Service is great, reasonably priced, and responsive. We landed early and it was easy to update the pickup time in the app. I love being able to support a local business rather than Uber.

I’ve been using Arecibo since 2008 and they have never failed me. The apps vary so widely in pricing that you never know what you’re going to get… and that’s frustrating when it’s 4am and you need to get to JFK asap! I always know how much my ride with Arecibo is going to be, and it takes the guesswork out of the situation. Cars are always clean and tidy, drivers are early or on time, and I get where I need to go.

Be prepared to wait a hour and a half for a driver once the ride is being paid for by insurance. You're lucky if you're picked up ontime to be taken to your appointment. Not sure as to why drivers wouldn't want pick up passenger's, you're being paid just as any other ride.

Whenever I'm visiting NYC, Arecibo is my #1 choice for car service. Prices are almost always cheaper than any of the other options available. The best part is if you're running behind, they will wait a reasonable amount of time for you.

Recommended by a friend and used Arecibo for the first time today. Our own car broke down on the highway. I called Arecibo to see if they can send one of their cars to where we were stranded to take my kids and me home while leaving spouse to deal with our broken down car. The dispatcher stayed with me on the phone almost the entire time while we tried to see where the tow truck would take us. Both the dispatcher and the driver were incredibly accommodating and provided superb professional and kind service. The cost was reasonable. Definitely will be our go-to car service from now on.

This is the 6th time I have used Arecibo. Every time was the same price. However, this time they charged $20 extra for a Van (which we have always had). And when I called to complain they also said it was $10 for a car seat (it has always been $5 before). I paid, but will not be using the service again as there are other options in the neighborhood. Also, they have removed their rates from their webpage and their app doesn't provide a price when you book. These would be great additions to avoid a situation like this. 2 stars because the driver was good.

I use Arecibo every Christmas day to get my brother-in-law home.

They are always on time with a clean beautiful vehicle, with a professional and courteous driver (Rafi is the Best)

On top of all that, their rates are very reasonable

Can’t recommend this team more. We’ve been using them for a year now for airport transportation and they truly alleviate the stress of traveling in New York. Flat fees to all airports are unbeatable compared to the apps. Drivers are always on time if not early.

It seems most all of the bad reviews could have been mitigated as long as you: Plan ahead and book online. Always pay cash. Make sure you note any special needs.

I didn't used them. Spoked to a male employee who stated to me (without hesitation) that he wanted me to "walk down some blocks away from my location in order for it to be easier and more convenient for the driver to travel to Manhattan".

I responded that "I will pay - I just want to arrived to my home safely". He insisted that I do this. Uh - am I missing something?

I’ve used Arecibo to get from Gowanus to JFK twice now. Clean van and professional driver. Each time, they’ve texted me before arrival and the driver arrived early. I’ll book again.
