Famous speakeasy in doyer street, it gets very crowded and you are usually unable to sit.
Cocktails are very good but also very expensive. Overall a fun place for very small groups (max 4 people). Not recommended for dates as there are limited seatings and it is very crowded.

Really legendary bar in Chinatown. Quite expensive, but Dinks are very good quality. Live music, I would recommend a visit (for the effect).

Joshua is hands down the best bartender! Makes the best drinks and has an absolute charming aura to him! The ambiance, the drinks, music, aesthetic is 10/10! Highly recommend.

We scheduled a reservation 2 weeks in advance but were turned away by the bouncer for no reason. We were dressed nicely, had no bags, and arrived on time. The entire encounter with the bouncer felt really off. I hate to say this, but I can't think of a reason that we turned away other than race. Would 100% not recommend coming here.

We were extremely disappointed with the service. We were seated at a 3 person reservation by the bathroom despite many open tables. We spoke to the host who told us they could not accommodate us, without any further explanation. Would never come back here.

Let me start first with saying the drinks are exceptional, pricey but arguably the best I've ever had. The ambiance is great, staff was super nice and accommodating basically everything you would want in an establishment like this. But I am not here to talk about any of these things. I am here to talk about something entirely different. When we were sat our waitress informed us that due to COVID all bars are required to serve food. She said there would be a $2 dollar up charge for soup. We were a little annoyed but overall ok with it. The soup was brought out in mugs and seemed unremarkable. Then we tried the soup.and let me tell you that soup was IMMACULATE. The best soup literally any of us have ever had. We asked the waitress to bring us more soup because it was just that good. So overall, Apotheke good bar but honestly if they never served alcohol again and simply sold soup, I would not be upset.

Fun vibe and fantastic cocktails in this wink and nod to a turn of the century apothecary. Dimly lit and a hushed calm is the atmosphere you won't find in many a bar. Look up and you'll see a beautifully ornate chandelier made of colorful flasks of medicines and potions to help cure what ails you. Don't expect to find the establishments name on any signage outside of the entrance. This is a speakeasy after all.

One of my favorite cocktail bars in nyc, stunning interior, fun menu, and decent but friendly service. Loved the lentil soup they were serving to make the man (Gov Cuomo) happy! Great place to bring out of town guests or a date your want to impress!

This place was dope! Great to start the night off with or even just to do a little something without doing too much. The cocktails were well crafted and very much "ADULT BEVERAGE LEVEL". I had the Dead Poet and Dr Jekyll. If your looking for something intersting other than a served drink, the dead poet comes with a whole little presentation, quite intersting. If your new to Absinthe the Dr. Jekyll is a great introduction. Staff was great, security aloof, greater Emilio chill AF. Ambiance was of a true speak easy, the location alone and entrance was unassuming. It was like finding a geode, breaking through its gray exterior to find rare amethyst hidden within.would def make it back here on several more occasions.oh and the pea soup a neccesary evil, but a pleasent surprise.

Awesome, find down a side street in China Town.

Although, I'm no longer living in NYC, were I grew up, truly a great place to stroll at night. Surprised it may be closed.

Anyways, for myself to busy out in the Southwest, land of the Apache's and Jeronimo.

Went there some time ago and found the place too pretentious for Chinatown. Overpriced drinks and rude staff. As an NYC native I love Chinatown and this place doesn't belong there. Don't waste your time or money. There are other places with better drinks and a cool environment more in touch with the neighborhoods they are located in.

The vibe here is spectacular. I feel as if I'm greeted with the highest level of importance by the staff from the door to the servers! I've had the pleasure of attending Culprit events in this space, and I adore the attendees drawn. Drinks are deliciously alluring and the music was perfect. My friends and I are looking forward to our next opportunity to enjoy this space!

Dropped in on Mon I think. Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, I'll be back. It has an awesome feel to it. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.

Been living in NYC my whole life and never found this place. Wow! Nice decor, good amount of space, bathrooms are clean. The 2 cocktails I had could've been better so I definitely need to go back

What a surprise to that Wednesdays are burlesque night

Was there last night for a friends birthday celebration and this place has great vibes! We arrived at 10: 30 and there was no cover, great drinks and mixed crowd. Culture vibes are very positive and music was on point with the best old school hip hop and current hip hop. Definitely will be back!

Nice atmosphere but marked 1* because we were asked to put a card behind the bar after receiving our drinks. We didn't see any reason why and no one else was asked. Very unwelcoming.

3 stars for the cool atmosphere. None of us liked our drinks. Maybe we just picked the wrong things. Mine tasted like licorice. For the prices, I would expect to love the drinks. We couldn't even finish them. Money down the drain. Maybe we'll try again some day.

For being such a well talked about and bespoke cocktail bar, the 2 drinks i had were not that good. Or maybe i chose wrong, but the service (bartender) was overly pretentious and not really customer experience centric. Felt more like 'take your drink and leave', which is what we did. Ill give it another try when in manhattan, it deserves it. The decoration of the place (antique pharmacy) is absolutely epic.

Such a lovely spot for drinks- perfectly tucked away and the bartenders make magical cocktail creations. Get there early to snag one of the comfy loveseats!

Love the atmosphere of this bar! It is not what you expect for China Town, but it’s amazing. My favorite drink is the “Sitting Buddha” it tastes like cilantro and is soooo refreshing, you can’t go wrong. We were lucky enough to snag a table and Jennifer the waitress was so sweet and friendly. Great place!
