AIRE Ancient Baths New York

Absolutely delightful! This is the type of “self-care” experience that harkens back to the ancients and something we should all be doing with frequency (if it were cheaper). I went to another Aire in Barcelona and may be on a quest to hit them all in my mid-life time!

Experience was ok, the spa doesnt not have dry sana which was a bummer. The vapor steam room has water dripping from the ceiling so was not the most relaxing experience. The baths are ok. Overall I expected more luxurious experience for the price.

Nice ambiance. Love the different pools. The massage was great. Staffs are caring and friendly. This was my second time. I also invited two friends on this trip. They loved it. We all want to come back again.

We felt that we were somewhere in the Mediterranean. The decor and attention to detail is unparalleled

The vibes were immaculate. Staff was awesome and I got really great service from Brandon and Justique to be specific. They treat you in such a chill and respectful manner. Had a great time for my anniversary. Definitely coming back!

Worse customer service. Do not recommend this place. I’ve had an incidence twice. I took off work when I’m on my way they called me. Saying they were short staff and cancelled treatment. Second time I booked online. They sent me payment link and said I could pay online or in person. Online link wasn’t opening. I couldn’t make payment. I thought it’s fine I spoke to someone and they said I can pay in person. I got there they never saved my reservation. Wasted another trip coming here for nothing. Short staff horrible customer service. I do not recommend this place! Unreliable! I wish I can give it 0 stars! Trash!

I watched as this business let a wooden cart drift down the sidewalk and ram into an uber driver's car on the sidewalk, scratching it significantly. The woman watching over the place could not have cared less. Pretended she didn't see it. I asked her about it and she ignored me and walked inside. Never seen behavior like this. Completely unethical.

Had an amazing relaxing experience! The Floating salt bath is just? ‍️ and the masseuse DEVON i believe his name was spectacular!

A Trip Back Into Ancient Times.


-Every Moment Feels Like A Movie Where You Are The Star.

We went there yesterday to celebrate my Birthday, and it was just the best experience ever. Phones aren’t allowed down, so we could really enjoy the atmosphere and relax. Very clean. Highly recommend.

I was gifted a visit to this relaxing, other worldly underground spa experience for my birthday. It was all of that and then some. I had a psychedelic, meditative experience in the Dead Sea Salt pool. Underwater sound experience was transformative.the service was stellar.the vibe.everything was on point. My person accompanied me prior to a fabulous birthday dinner surprise. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I look forward to the next visit.

The place is beautiful. Experience here is amazing. The thing is that is overcrowded. They have more than 10 different pools to enjoy and then you can get a massage. Pools could have less clorox and the showers for men cleanup.

I’m obsessed! This is my favorite way to decompress from the city. Favorites are the salt pool and the intimate layout of the tepidarium. I’ve been to a lot of bath houses, and this is the best. Would love to be able to try the wine bath at some point when I have the money!

Bucket list place. Period.

I've searched for similar spas in other parts of the country and none hold a candle to AIRE. The baths are amazing, peaceful and can be romantic. I love relaxing in the eucalyptus steam room and then straight to the ice bath pool.

The staff is always friendly and chill. The refreshing drinks you can order are a nice touch. The locker rooms are clean and well kept. My four handed massage was top notch.

Only gripe. Please redesign the ceiling in the eucalyptus room so the hot water doesn't pool and drip on you.

To add perspective, I generally have an aversion to pools. Add a pandemic and it's a legitimate additional concern.
However, as soon as we arrived to AIRE I realized I didn't want to leave and started immediately planning our return.
We enjoyed the Love Connection Experience which was gifted to my husband for his birthday.
On a side note, this is a solid gift. I would very happily return on my own. It's a great location for a mental health day. But it really is a great experience to enjoy with someone.
The entire energy is very calming and the staff is very attentive making sure you have what you need and you're comfortable.
As a person sensitive to energy, being somewhere I feel at peace is everything. I managed to fall asleep while floating in the salt pool. Go figure.
I should mention that I also suffer from chronic back pain and I practice hot yoga. So all of the heated pools (there is one at 103 degrees) are a dream for me.
If you're a person who can't manage heat, you may not be as delighted as I was.
We ended our two hour experience with a massage. Cassandra's hands are pure magic. Never had such a thorough massage in my life.
Overall, this is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy life.

Mixed feelings experience.
Got it as a gift. Had the live together experience. Lockers, bathrooms and dressing rooms are fine, could have been more clean. The bathroom was dirty and the showers still had old bubbles and all the floor was wet.
First we had the pool experience. They had a salty one, a jacuzzi, a hot one, 2 icy, 1 room temperatura and a sauna. It was nice. Too much people. There were like 20 or more people going around the pools. I wished it was more relaxing. Also a bit worried about covid. The jacuzzi one smelled like chlorine and made my eyes hurt. The salty one was great but so full of people that you couldn’t relax properly.
Then had the couple massage that were awesome. They use oil and the pressure was great.
Then went back to the locker area to change and have a shower. The cleaning lady was cleaning the shower next to mine at that time, it was not pleasant, and she wanted to pick up my towels quickly. It was like they were rushing me to leave.

This place will melt your worries and leave you fully restored. Two hours is perfect to unwind. The staff are amazing and friendly, the facilities are beautiful and luxurious. I've been multiple times and highly recommend. Also makes an exceptional gift

Very neat experience. We did the massage and bath experience. Massage was nice and the different baths were really cool. There are baths of varying temperatures and a sauna. The salt bath was fun since you float effortlessly. Only thing was all the customers pretty much got out at the same time and lockers are extremely close together. This made getting changed uncomfortable since you're so close to someone else. Like a tighter 7th grade locker room. People were also coming in and getting into their robes. I got claustrophobic and got out a fast a I could.

I’ve experienced the best massage I’ve ever had from Brittany! She was amazing and thorough. I will definitely be coming back.

Staff was amazing. Very relaxing. One of the best massages I've received in a long time. I would highly recommend anyone to come through if they need to take some time away and destress

Such a relaxing experience. The second you walk into the doors, it's already like you've been transported out of the city. The staff was attentive without hovering, and the baths themselves were absolutely amazing. You're able to explore them at your own pace, and I also appreciated that they limited the number or reservations to make sure that there would be at least one bath open per group.

We also had a massage included in our package, which were very relaxing. The masseuses were adaptable to whatever suited your needs best. The one recommendation I have is to give more time between the baths and the massage. We were summoned from the baths and were asked to stand and wait in a chilly air conditioned room with just our wet bathing suits and a thin robe until the massage was ready. After the massage we were then ushered back downstairs for the remaining 20 minutes. I would have preferred a heads up on the timing of each segment at the baths and some time to truly dry off because that made an otherwise great experience a bit disjointed.

You know how they say quality over quantity? Well Aire have never changed since day one I have seen it open and in service. The best Spa in Manhattan hands down! Best services and what an opening experience and a getaway from the city. This place is relaxing romantically, artistically, physically, mentally, spiritually. If you never been, don't listen to no body and just go!

Such a romantic date spot! And the baths are amazing. Of course, it's cool to be in a spot where John Wick was filmed, as well. I also did a massage, which was phenomenal! I would definitely go back and their amenities in the bathrooms are great - always a nice perk! On the pricey side for only 2 hours, but 100% worth it.

It was my first time going to Aire and I absolutely adored it. The salt pool was extremely calming and going from the cold bath to the warm one was extremely refreshing for me. The steam room honestly opened up my lungs a lot and was really necessary for my breathing. The people who work there are very kind and attentive. The drinks were really great as well. I can’t wait to go back again soon! If you haven’t been it’s definitely worth going!

Great experience here. There is literally a Turkish bath under the streets of SOHO. Very relaxing bath area, good safety protocol. Thr locker room attendant was so nice and helpful and the massage therapist had STRONG pressure.

We’ve been to our fair share of fancy spas and bathhouses and this one was underwhelming and overrated. We booked a 9pm slot for the Pampering Duo and the whole experience felt so rushed. The servers kept telling us that we needed to do our massage and we did it after enjoying the spa for 40 minutes. After the 1-hr massage, they told us they are closing. That’s only 100 minutes! Where is the rest of our time? The website says 135 minutes total for this package. The servers also don’t take the initiative to provide you the fruit juice. You need to ask or they forget. So why did I prepay the tip again? This place is a great concept but very poorly managed. Definitely not the white glove service you would expect from such an upscale place. Probably the only great thing were the masseuses. The hot pools were average too.

Amazing in every way. Phenomenal massage. Baths are beautiful and clean. Magical and romantic. Locker rooms could use a refresh but all public spaces are si unique ans exceptional.

Kinda of a modern bath house. I wished they had a sauna and few of tubs were hotter. But it is nice and clean. No pictures of tubs themselves. Phones aren’t allowed down.

It's not easy to explain.you have to experience it yourselves. This was my 1st time. Purchased a package to go back?

Apparently the hostess doesn’t know what a sauna is:) but the place has a steam-room that is not properly designed… overall experience is ok if you want to spend time in heated pools, the salted one is really good when the music is right lol… otherwise I would the owners in Spain to reduce the fee and create a proper steam-room!

An amazing spa, like being transported to another world where all your stress melts away and you are left feeling completely rejuvenated.

My partner and I came here on Christmas Day, and we had a superb experience! We enjoyed the massages so much that we'll be back for another one soon.

Don't expect a relaxing environment, there's always a chatty group or some entitled who love to hear themselves talk constantly non stop, always someone.

Amazing experience. One of a kind. Enjoyed every moment. Just bring your swimsuit, they have everything you need. The only thing I wish they had a russian sauna as well. Would be perfect.

This was the most wonderful experience. The staff who welcomed me and the tour guide were so kind and friendly. Best spa hospitality I’ve experienced so far. The amenities are great, you only have to bring a bathing suit and everything else is provided for you. The baths aren’t overcrowded at all and the atmosphere is amazing and really takes you out of nyc for a few hours. I can’t wait to go back again.

This place is incredible! Came out feeling brand new. Make sure you alott at least a half hour to get ready after the baths and take advantage of all the amenities. Would definitely recommend this place for a girls get away or even a romantic experience with your SO.

This was my husband and I first visiting this beautiful spa. From walking in to walking out the service we had was AMAZING. We had a purchased the couples package. After we checked in we were escorted to the locker rooms. There were 2 attendees in the locker room to assist with everything. I put on my swim suite and the provided very soft robes and water slippers. After we were done in the locker rooms we were given a juice menu. We choose what beverage we wanted and then were escorted to the baths. There were several different kinds, my 2 favorite happened to be the floating bath and room temperature bath. Each bath is different temperature and all help different ways. When I tell you this part was beyond amazing, I mean it! After thr baths an associate called each couple 1 at a time to escort them to their masseuse. After meeting our masseuse we given instructions to prepare for our massages and foot scrub. The room was very soothing relaxing and my massage was just what I needed l. She was able to knock out all of my knots in my back and shoulder and I left there feeling so refreshed.

An amazing immersive experience but this is mainly a couples only venture. It took me a month to book it for just myself. No phones past the locker room so that's why I didn't post photos. A friendly amazing staff, I had an excellent massage just the way I like it. It is expensive so book it for that oh so special occasion. They provide trunks if you don't have them, water shoes and wash rags. Soap, shampoo, and lotion but I highly recommend you bring your own. Overall a great experience and definitely worth the price of admission.

A great secret spot in the city to get whisked way to relaxation. Spa is clean and staff helps you along the way. Heated and cold pools are available with steam room and massages.

Not really worth the money. The massages were subpar and unfortunately we felt like we had to rush through everything. Very sexy vibe though and staff was at least friendly about it all. I wouldn't recommend anything but the soak experience.

Concept is excellent. Actual roman baths with a variety of pools and temperatures. And I'm sure there was a time when this felt like an exhilarating departure from the norm. In reality, it's too crowded, too awkward, and too rushed.

It is an amazing SPA, totally worth visiting. And the massage we had was one of the best we ever had anywhere in the world

Love the pools. Have been coming here for years. The only thing I dislike about the spa is the locker room. Maybe no big deal to some but there is no privacy whatsoever so you have to change in front of everyone including spa attendants and certain attendants are very rude and too aggressive for what is supposed to be a relaxing environment. My last visit felt like I was in a prison locker room lol!

Beautiful spa, we booked the tandem package. We got a 1 hr massage and then spent time in the baths. 1 bath was warm water, one hot, one cold. Another bath was room temp with massaging jets. Last bath was salt water bath like the dead sea, this was fun because you can float. Really a great experience. They had everything you needed in the locker room area. Just bring a swimsuit and a mask.

O M G! Every year for our anniversary the Mr.and I do a spa day. This was so different than anything we've ever done and it was incredible! The dead sea float pool was my personal favorite. I left all my stress and tension behind. We will be back! What an experience

Appt. For 3. By the time we got downstairs it was about 320. They only have four baths. We purchased the tandem. They came to get us at 4 for our massages and took our bath bracelets so we no longer had access to the baths. Massages were done and we were escorted to the locker room at 4: 57. Fastest $650. Ever spent to play in water. This place is over priced and they rush you out. Go to Sojo day spa in Edgewater.

Just wow! Lovely atmosphere - only had about 6 clients in the facility. Massage was fantastic and baths were very relaxing. Everything was very clean

This place is absolutely amazing! The Ambiance is everything! Very relaxing, Super clean & Couples massage was great! Excellent aromatherapy as soon as you walk in. Checkin was a breeze and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Spectacular! I feel 5years younger! I wish I could go every day after work.
My plan is to go once a month! That’s going to be my treat. I can’t wait.

THE BEST SPA! I have been going to this place for years. My first time I went to Chicago location and since this moment I never found a better place! I am a loyal customer and always recommend this place to my friends! In my opinion NY location is amazing too! This place makes me very happy, relaxed and healed!
